goracing87g (Thom Barth) is a bad trader/seller.

I bought a Kyosho Mini Z from him (5/25/03). We agree that I would pay half now and the other when I get a tracking number as proof of shipment. Then he told me that he really needed the money. He said he will ship the mini z by priority mail on Tuesday (5/27/03) since Monday was a holiday. I believe him and paid him in full (big mistake).

It took him a 1 week to ship it (6/02/03). He didn’t even ship it by priority mail like he said. I got it a week later (6/09/03). Now I just got and it turns out to be the fake cheap imitation mini z (Hei Pao) from ebay. They go for $10 on ebay. Before I even paid him I ask if it was a real Kyosho Mini Z. He told me yes. I paid him $75 and I got a cheap $10 imitation.

I was hesitant at first since he was a minor, but he assured me he was trustworthy. He gave me a link for a feedback from a person, pancarman01 (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?threadid=53418&highlight=goracing87g), giving him a positive feedback. It turns out to be his brother. I found out after talking to his brother. He tried to sell me a XX4, the same one pancarman01 is selling (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?threadid=53764) .

Do not deal with him. He will just rip you off like me. I have emails, as proof, of everything. I will try to get a refund from him. I will post back.

wow..I almost made a big mistake...had a deal made with him on some
foam tires..took him for his word even though he was kind of vague
on the description and qaunity i would recieve...was gonna mail payment
today...read this just know....saw at top of thread from pancarman01

The XX4 actually was sold to him from me. I sold it to him (Tim) way back in like february. I made sure ALL $150 was in the Paypal account before I would ship. I know a few other people on here had problems with him in the past, I was leary with the deal but he paid immediatley and I had no problems with him in that deal. I know its the same XX4 becasue the link showed the body on it, the body that I painted at the 2002 Lansing MARS race in Lansing, Michigan.

Good luck guys, I hope you get your money back. Don't view this as neg feedback, take it for whats it worth good or bad. I just gave the honest truth of my dealings with him. Pancartom as his brother I have no idea, I think one of them used to go by the handle "hotrod18", which I think was banned some time ago. :(

Promatchracer and all - I did receive partial payment (refund) from goracing87g. One payment for $6.21 and anther for $40. We are still working on the rest. I will keep you guys posted.

As for pancarman01 (Tim – Thom’s brother) he is correcting this matter. He is helping me get the money back. When I posted the first post I didn’t know that Thom used his brother name to post that feedback. Thank you pancarman01 (Tim) for helping me.

I was reading through this whole posting history, and see no mention of subs expect by the Barth(s).....or did I miss somthing??
I re read all the post about three times, but can't find a complaint regarding subs, or sub woofers, or subsandwiches???? whatever he is talking about.

If anything, and I did include this in the email, should be commended for your post.

As I also indicated in the email, your post did not bash any member, break any rules or guidelines.......so.......

As far as "banning" anybody. Hank and I have had NUMEROUS discussions about banning someone. It is an unfortunate tool that must be utilized at times. It is definitely NOT something that any of the moderators use with any frequency. If you are banned from ANY website, at least in my opinion, you have committed severe offenses. On HobbyTalk, you will be banned for cursing, continued bashing of other members, etc, etc. The rules & guidelines can actually be simplified in these terms. Do unto others as you would want done unto you. Remember, on the web, you cannot "see" the other person.

BOSS..we applaud you for getting these scammers off this board..I was almost taken but I read this thread and stopped the money order before it went out..I know it sounds like were beating a dead horse but thanks

I also did a deal with tim. I sent him 18.00 for some foam tires.3 weeks later still no tires. i finally told him i was posting bad feed on him and he sent me a refund. i have done prolly 400+ internet deals and i can ussually read people very well. going into this deal i was not feeling to good he was to persistant. a good way to read someone is if they are laid back about the deal they always seem to come through. ive noticed the pushy ones have more to hide.

He instant mesages me all the time to and ask's me questions, i have no problem answering. he asked me how to make his 2000 packs perform better so i showed him a link on dead shorting. i messaged him back and asked how it was working ,and he says he blew up a pack. then he said it was my responsibility to replace it, or give him a new motor and other stuff or he would bash me on here. i thought it was funny he never mentioned it blowing up in the other messages, but when i brought it up he was like oh yah. i think he was just trying to scam some more things off of me.

and as for the subs i didnt do a deal with his brother but he tried to get me to buy a bunch of junk from him. he sent me pics of the stuff, and he was using tims name on the computer. since the first time i talked to him he said he had a brother so i guess he does
anyways this is my input on the situation i learned to stay away

TIM's bro, Thom decided to bombard me with IM's the other day, then when I got a chance to reply,( about 2 mins latter, I was talking to three people) He just ignored me. I tried to see what he wanted for 30 mins, with no reply, ( yes he was signed on AOL, and I could see that)so I just decided that enough was enough, and blocked his screen name.
Next Tim emails me wanting, darn near demading, I talk to his "bro" to which I said "give me a few days to simmer down"
He responds "cool."
What he didn't realize is I was also chatting with another hobby talk board member, and he is talking to the same guy, telling him what a jerk and well, colorfull metifores were also used to describe me by TIMMY, and the board member was kinf enough to forward TOM"S post to me, which I forwarded to tim, with no reply.
I wish I had never done him the favor of playing go between.
seems these guys are fine, so long as they get exactly what they want, when they want it, and how they want it.
Tim also made comments reguarding the sexuality of hobby talk board members to include the BOSS, Darkside, and XX-FAN.
I write this to let you all know that these guys will type and say aything they think you want to hear inorder to achive their goals, then stab you in the back in a heartbeat.
They should never be given any chance by anyone, unless it's by a masacist who enjoys torture!
