Mike O'Brien - Nice job on posting the results. That took some time and some typing.

Thanks to all for a fun day of racing yesterday - even if my best pack of 3300's did poop the bed. See ya'll in a couple of weeks.

Remember that I'm computer challenged (the home machine crashed - I can only get on at work) - limited time.

ye speaking about a bad day at the track.......the best thing about sunday was the awesome new body John painted for me.....he's just toooooo nice to me...
I def undertsna dpeople have bad days, all i can do is laugh about it and shrug it off...it's all fun anyway..thanks for posting the results mike..that did have to take a while.....anyway I WILL be back next week...snookie u better get ready cause team hyperdrive is comming for you....on the other hand the old ADX didn't really do too bad....my body post collars kept on comming loose and then my body would rub...ah not to fun and as for spec A i have been hacked by the Head Mechanic of the Great Hobby Town...BS that's all i can say..that business is a dive, it has to be wiht who they have working the place....stick it to the beav...that's my motto!!

Thanks Mike for taking the time to put the laps/times on th is post. Sometime soon, we will (hopefully) have the actual Alycat html info. on a site for all to look at. Yes, I guess that more than a couple did have a bad night, which can happen, but hopefully the luck will turn around. Billy, I'm NOT sure if you meant "stick it to....." or just something like one store MAY be better-staffed than another........ The best thing to do is to keep negative personal opinions about public places in our own heads, and not in view. Thank you though. Obviously, having been in the business for (now 18 years) I have seen alot of stores come and go. Some of these have impacted my livelihood directly. Others are "in it" for being able to buy stuff cheaper, and still others are in business for the "quick sale" and do not care about fostering a new past-time activity that the customers can enjoy for many years to come. This comes at a price to the customer- a quick "fix" in your hobby habit, then on to other things when the hobby gets boring(due to lack of after-sales support).....only to have the stuff collect dust and be "found again" in 10 or more years. John @ RJ

Preach that gospel brother John.......you have you're heart in this hobby, and I think I speak for every other racer when I say that I could ever thank or repay you for all your support and patience and I'd do anything for you.

and Billy......you just suck.......JK, you took/gave one for the team

A business does not stay open for 20+ years for no reason.
Sure there are good prices, great service, pretty things to look at,and then there are the things that really matter.
People!
They are the backbone of every business, and river junction has them.Personal service is one thing, moral support and incouragement are something others could learn from John and Sam.
To be truely excited about someone starting in the hobby with their first car, or diving into the parts books for those "wild project" parts, nobody does it like Sam!
Ive never seen another race director take the time to listen to the racers and bend the schedule as much as John.In addition have you ever seen a race director get up on the driving stand on race day or practice night to help out a racer? It's rare.
Where do you think Ray,Chris, and Danny would be if it wasn't for John?
The support is never ending!
These guys are what the hobby is all about-FUN!!And they make it fun every time I go there.
They may not have 35 T-Maxx's sitting around but they do have allot of content and happy customers and freinds that do sit around.
You won't get a social hour at the WallMart of hobbies and you'd be hard pressed to even find someone that cares your there at all! That meens allot to me and i'm sure it does to others also.
I will always support John and Sam in what ever they do.

I think it's "heard" , Snookie.
Anyway, I want to thank Glitcher for his paragraph on "The Raceway" -it was very moving........ Really, thank you to all who share in his and our feelings about R/C and racing in general. Without everyone's continued support and interest, R/C racing would just be in somebody's basement like slotcars someday. Thanks, John @ RJ

Heya folks,

I been watching now for a while. Hopefully soon, if I am not brain dead after work, I can get one of my monstrosities running and can at least get some practice in. To be real, I can't drive a RC car to save my life, but what the heck.;)

Only thing missing was Mary.
Final run looked like we were runnin the main...
All had fun, all looked fast.

PanMan

Hey! This isn't fair! You guys get to practice and I have to show up ready to go. I get one practice battery to get my setup right. Maybe I should think about moving closer to Beaver.

I don't want anyone to think for a minute that the Old Hippie isn't ALWAYS fast and smooth!. He just has that reputation for sandbagging that he has to maintain. His driving and car setups are A Main material. He's always a threat for the "A".

Spec's a fun, tight class. Practically anyone can make the "A" on any given night. Good racin'!

John, just wanted to know how many novices you needed to have to run a novice class. I'm trying to bring in some new blood.

RacewayJohn
01-22-2004, 05:48 PM
Yes we ALMOST had a race night last night!
Martian, we only need 3 of any vehicle/ability for a class, so, "c'mon on down!"
Panman, take an early retirement (like Frank, Chuck, Gary, Tom-LOL,etc.) and move to a suburb on THIS SIDE of Pittsburgh. I'll even let you come down and help change the track over to oval..............John @ RJ
