Eric H. Snookie 01-13-2004, 04:56 PM we've had internet cant type RacewayJohn 01-13-2004, 04:57 PM Now what? Allen next? Finally, Snookie can comment on his own without complaining about having no Hobbytalk account! Glad to have Snookie and his typist (Maddie) contributing to the posts! Welcome. John @ RJ  hackGordon24 01-13-2004, 06:53 PM Gentleman of the thread....i do agree that something has to be done. This is comming form someone who used to drive just as, if not worse than Allan. They only reason why i am acting on this subject is because i have felt the wrath of the meatstick. more then once i have been knocked down by the mighty one(Allan). It seems that he doens't even have to be in the race to do someting wrong, this was the case when the big crash in turn 2 happened a few weeks ago, it is common sense to not put a car in the middle of the turn so people have free hits on it. glitcher 01-13-2004, 08:02 PM I was also a menace on the track for quite some time, but with the help and advise of people that really care about racing I've grown into a racer that most folks don't mind racing with. Again I would rather see him turn into a person that anyone would race with, rather than loose a racer. It's just that you try to help.tell him what you see him or his car doing and he argues and sais it's fine, what am I supposed to do? I can't believe he doesn't see his car going from wall to pipe on very lap! He has run into the back of my car and yells at me for hitting him! I'm at a loss. I'm sure allot of folks have tried to help, snookie being one of them.So you can feel my pain. Hackgordon-youdaman! Did Snookie see this l  l (snookie on the track) :dude: Welcome Snook. Not to change the subject but,how bout those Mcallister bodies? Kenny is not dead! roaddog 01-13-2004, 11:23 PM I agree with mike. When there is an obvious slower car (not alan)that everytime you come up on him he wants to race you like its the last lap for the win it gets a lil rediculas. Sometimes I wish alan was in my race, he is curtious to to cars coming up on him and usually gets out of the way without causing trouble. He does have a tendensy to go  but i think if he would stick to 1 car he could eliminate some of this. I see it in alan that he is getting better. I think his people skills needs a lil work but being new to the sport I think its easier to blame the car then himself right now. He does need to stick with one car till he has a lil more time under his belt. Just my 2 cents  Snookie 01-13-2004, 11:29 PM ERIC likes his ...seems to have a nice feel Glitcher, yes I did, but he meant Allen's driveline  roaddog 01-14-2004, 12:52 AM :jest: WOOT SNOOKIE :jest: glitcher 01-14-2004, 01:02 AM I agree with mike. Thanks for pointing that out.I'm probably gonna stick to Saturdays for a while,or until Eric and Snook finish my new car. I'll try to renew my patience in the meen time and come back to oval with a better attitude and see if I can help to make him a better racer and to encourage others to over look a couple of bad traights and offer assistance also.Who knows,he may be a better person than I think. Thanks roaddog! erock1331 01-14-2004, 08:56 AM Regarding the Mcallister bodies, the only knock I have seen people give is that they are narrow in the front (on the KSG and Hyperdrive) and short. Not sure how they compare in weight to a Bolink or Proto. Usually with a wing and painted a Bolink is about 3.5-3.7 oz, a Proto 4.2oz range. I'd be curious to see what a Mcallister wieghs. Mr.fastman 01-14-2004, 11:17 AM Hi, Is there a web site for this track, I might come and race there, what is the address, so I can mapquest it. Thanks  erock1331 01-14-2004, 11:19 AM I dont think the track has a website but here are a few pics of the road course which is also used for oval racing as well. http://www.steelcityhobbies.com/RiverJunctionHobbyShop.shtml River Junction Train & Hobby 1216 4th St Beaver, PA 724-728-5571 erock1331 01-14-2004, 11:32 AM More info and pics http://www.steelcityhobbies.com/TrackInfoRJ.shtml http://www.steelcityhobbies.com/River%20Junc%20RacPic.shtml Mr.fastman 01-14-2004, 11:45 AM What days are oval racing and what classes are there? and thanks for the info erock1331 01-14-2004, 11:54 AM Sunday is oval racing. Track opens at 1:00, racing at 3:00. Classes: 4 cell spec (spec batt and spec motor) not sure of other specific rules 4 cell stock 4 cell 1/12 stock 4 cell 19T 0 degree (on occasion) roaddog 01-14-2004, 02:18 PM When are you and the rest of the gang coming down Eric....its been awhile. :p  erock1331 01-14-2004, 02:32 PM Wayne, Yeah I know I need to make it over there, but neither of my cars are setup right now for flat track. Nor is my 2nd speedo back from Keyence yet, ughhh. Plus I dont have any HD bodies either. I could probably get some tires rounded up from what I have. Hopefully soon I'll make it. Are you gonna try and make it down to Redfox for the State race? Stock is a hoot there. In 4 minutes you can't blink. Stock record is 76 laps and 19T 0 degree is like 85 or something around there. Crazyness Snookie 01-14-2004, 04:18 PM Hopefull for big turnout in Spec on sunday Panman HackG Cousin Eric Joe and myself should be there. Would love to see Glitcher and a few more . Sort by lap time insted of laps counted makes for some great door to door RACING. glitcher 01-14-2004, 07:48 PM Erock, Those excuses won't work around me,I got plenty of speedos you can stick in for the day,and we can round up any tire you want. Get your but to Beaver! :dude: Check with Snookie before you paint a body to see what color stripe he would like on the side of his. He's got a nice yellow and blue stripe from my 1/12th scale on his left side. :dude: Snookie 01-14-2004, 10:13 PM Eric except for Mike OBrian green, any color would be fine. Mike OBrien 01-15-2004, 05:43 AM well well if it ant the snookie the pinball KING l  l the new meat stick Snookie 01-15-2004, 10:59 AM Good to hear from u, Mr. OBrien(head instructor 4 Skip Barber Driving Skool)! Hope ur up 4 the task of teaching ur new student(allan). To many racers depending on u. hackGordon24 01-15-2004, 11:38 AM Mr. Snookie, very nice to see you on here, it has taken long enough. hopefully u have graduated to typing for urself instead of having the kid to it. Now that your in here we can start to have some fun. All i can say for everyone reading this thread is to put on ur boots, cause the BS is about to start piling up!! That is why i like you u snook, you bring some good driving, some great speed tips, and some awesome convo's to the raceway....wouldn't be the same without you, and the crew fomr river junction. Plus now that your on this thread it is even better, we can start to HACK Allan off the track too, god i love it. Snookie 01-15-2004, 01:28 PM HackG just remember HOOSIER DADDY... buddylee503 01-15-2004, 02:20 PM Snookie!!!!!! roaddog 01-15-2004, 05:02 PM Eric I know who got the monster loot so getcha some stuff. erock1331 01-15-2004, 05:13 PM haha Money's kinda tight after the big Sandhils trip. Really its more trying to find the time to work on the car. I started to paint a new body with my airbrush I for x-mas and I messed the airbrush up trying to clean it, so Rob has to rebuild it for me, cause I am no airbrush guru. I'll get over there sooner or later. I don't know though I wont be able to keep up with your Monster power now that you have that magnet zapper. I talked to Ricky he said every zapper reads different as far as what a good can's #'s should be. He said 500 on one might be good compared to his like a 470 was a good can. So it's hard to say. If you got the EA one I'd check with Eric about it. PanMan 01-15-2004, 05:33 PM Oh for gawd's sake .... now I'm racing against a guy with a magnet zapper! It wasn't enough you guys have motors 10 watts higher than mine, you have to go and get another "go-faster" tool! That B main is getting closer and closer. Snookie - really good to see you on the board. Someone said you had to have a blue anodized keyboard before you'd join the crowd. Snookie's monitor probably shows how many RPMs his typing fingers are doing - with a graph to boot. I'll be there this Sunday if everything goes OK. Kevin buddylee503 01-15-2004, 11:23 PM Now snookie if you wanna make a smart comment, don't let "Dad" ahem John tell you no. and next time ill remember to use the breaks on the tape ruler. :D MUSTANG 01-15-2004, 11:52 PM Snookie !!! Nice....saw you on here ....I knew I had to get a name too.....Hopefully see you, Hack and Pan in the Spec A ....I'm trying....just need some more speed...I'm enrolling into the Art Johnson school of driving next week....Hopefully I will be able to be a little more consistant with my laps...and "DRIVE IT" into the A....... RacewayJohn 01-16-2004, 12:44 AM Panman- What? You've already been racing against "zappers" and didn't know it (look to your older pit buddies), plus, at least Wayne will give you a zap now & then(maybe he'll even re-magnetize your motors too!) Plus, I think that SOMEONE is getting into the Y2K thing himself.......................... You know, all of you,...........should watch what you say about Allen; one of these days, he'll learn to use that small TV with the weird shows on it..........and.......... Hack-G, if I feel better I'll be at Bowser's on Sunday, noon, so you can buy me lunch (for your incredibly AWESOME new body). Mustang, nice to see you lookin' at THESE kinda websites...... I hope to see all on Sunday for a great day of oval racin'!! John@RJ  Mike OBrien 01-16-2004, 05:56 AM a zapper WHAT !!!! who has a zapper thats it im going to spec PanMan 01-16-2004, 10:37 AM John - You might want to use private messaging if you want to talk about Hack's "awesome new body". Most of us guys don't go in for that kinda' stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with it ............. Kevin nscr06fan 01-16-2004, 10:55 AM well the results are in...snookie and i weighed the different bodies yesterday and with the full full slixx sticker kit and two coats of paint on both the proline dodge and the mcallister monte carlo the proline weighed 4.3 oz and the mcallister weighed 3.8 oz.After running the mcallister last sunday i am sold. Snookie 01-16-2004, 11:39 AM Glitcher your high $ racer is almost done. waiting for your stuff to finish. U need to paint your body asap... Mike always room for one more in Spec for ''The Arcor Master Champ'' PGoogs 01-16-2004, 03:06 PM You can always run one of the "Why be normal" classes and run something besides a pan car. You can run Sprints, East Coast Modifieds, or even BRP's a.k.a. "Tiny Buggers". If you have to run pan car put a late model body on it. As far as the "meat stick", I've been to several tracks both dirt and carpet and there is always one in the crowd. Mike OBrien 01-17-2004, 12:45 AM ya then i would only get to race 2 times a year Snookie 01-17-2004, 01:46 AM Sprints? Chuck still brings his car every week hoping someone, anyone would race Sprint car again glitcher 01-17-2004, 10:44 AM All of my sprint cars are on Ebay right now(ending Sun). My oval trucks are next. $1000 dust collectors. I would, however consider '56 ford body on my pan car.(thats only $15). Who's gonna zap my spec motors? I was gonna zap my spec bats, and make a pack out of the ones that didn't blow apart. :D I checked out my new pancar last night! Very nice guys! Many thanks to Eric B. and Snookie, they build some nice cars! I need blue servo mounts and aqua rear tires,if you got em,bring em! hackGordon24 01-17-2004, 01:29 PM 100% correct glitcher....snooks and Baggy do make some awesome cars. from the work that i have seen them do i have nothing to say but wow.....when they halped "the sponsored one"(ray.... :freak: Sometimes i clean John Orr's body!! :freak: ) haha..but ye they do, do a good job.......it is nice to go to a track where u can trust people aroiudn you to help u whenever u need it.....that's why ya gotta love the beav.. Snookie 01-17-2004, 04:10 PM Thank you HackG. Glad to see you still ""Drive it like you stool it""with your Snookie built HD! Mustang needs to bring all his parts and chassie with him on sunday . His car is next. hackGordon24 01-17-2004, 08:00 PM well, with me driving the Randy Special, of course it is gonna run great...how could it not, it was free!!! :jest: ..u know some of the best things in life are free, for example, the cup of pass-you, being sponsored by Chun-King Tires, and all the other great ones john has......., these are what makes The Beav. unique. (ok and Mary too) highster 01-17-2004, 11:23 PM I know why I love Beaver........... Old Hippie 01-17-2004, 11:26 PM what time are we meeting for lunch?
