Yeah John thats because onroad cars are so SLOW  ,.. i'll be coming up this winter i say open 19t and make the track a little longer so you can get the rip outta them,.

RacewayJohn
09-23-2003, 10:16 AM
Hey, you ever heard of Mod-Sedan? Anyway, we have been running the "short track" just because everybody seems to like it better. I can lengthen it about 8-9 feet more, (overall space available 75 x 32). I was thinking about trying to lengthen it about 6-7 ft, AND widen it to a 10 foot infield- this would make the turns more sweeping and hopefully keep corner speed up. Let me know, John @ RJ

That would be interesting to try (longer track with wider turns). I say go for it

09-24-2003, 10:06 AM
Rick, so far, the sprints have been collecting dust, but we have been getting up to 7 1/12th Nascars every Sunday. Last Sunday we ran all 7 together- not as messy as it sounds, actually pretty good racing, considering all levels of drivers in the race. Hope to see you & Googs Sunday!! Oh, we changed Pizza Joe's stores, and have EVEN BETTER PIZZA than before!!!!!!!!!!! John @ RJ

Lohrr1
09-24-2003, 10:02 PM
John - Thanks for the info, I guess I'll have to dig out the 1/12 scale and blow off the Velodrome dust. See ya Sunday!
Rick

Lohrr1,you better do more than blow the dust off, these guys are FAST!

(I also recomend a spur gear guard and a foam bumper) ;)

Sprints will be back soon,we were running Chameleon's last time, but can change to anything.

Hey Lorr1;
Ran late moded bodies late last yr at Beaver with some Lucky 13 guys and had a great time. Most guys ran pretty close to each other and had a nice race. Let's hope some more late model guys start to show this fall.

PGoogs

Had a great time as usual. Just got to get used to "Mary" and her unusual "sounds". Herbie and Freddie really enjoyed it too. Hey Cheetah hope to run late models again (Is that you Leroy?). The spec class looked good. Really considering running spec. Thanks to Joe Martinez (spelling right?) if you're out there for the info on specs.

RacewayJohn
10-14-2003, 05:24 PM
Hey Glitcher, do you really know nothin'(sic)? Just asking.... Hey Billy, it's good to see that YOU finally decided to be a part of our little thread,(and races). Yes, I was glad to see you, and hopefully, the "BIG HACK" will be back as well. So,uh, your name here, does that have anything to do with a certain race, with a certain racer on Sunday? You know, he probably won't ever read these to know that it COULD be him- don't you? I'll have more SPEC motors in at the end of the week, and will be sure to put one back for you. How about it Glitcher.... you wanna try SPEC? Just drive your #24 Raydog, but put a cheap spec battery, and a cheap spec motor in it, and THAT'S IT! Let me know. Until the next oval, John @ RJ

glitcher
10-14-2003, 05:50 PM
Sure John, set me up,one motor and a couple batteries.
Or can I run my batteries that are below 1.20V?(just kidding)
Is that it?Batteries and motors?Any tire?
1955 ford bodies?
How many folks are running spec.?

RacewayJohn
10-14-2003, 06:47 PM
Glitchy, all you need is the SPEC Motor (any brushes-standup), and the SPEC batteries form Trinity 1600mah 4-cell, any NASCAR body (maybe even Smoky Yunick's Chevy?), any tires, and any electrics. That's it! Really. We want this to turn into a "fun", competitive class, with the driver being the deciding factor in the win. I'll have some set aside for you on Friday. Thanks, John @ RJ

John,
Maybe you could try the 24's paint sceme from the Charlotte race this past week for little Bill.
It was pretty cool, looked like they painted the trunk, hood and roof silver along the panels themselves, but I can't remember if the decals were different.

hackGordon24
10-14-2003, 09:09 PM
wow wow wow...don't get me started on the whole me not working thing......i have a job thank you very much...snookie was talking about that paint job on sunday....whatever sounds good, but u need to rethink selling that body to what's his name, due to he fact that there can't be 2 of the same on the track......and i know that he would an excellent partner in the team  haha ye right, but whatever you do is gonna be cool...

glitcher
10-15-2003, 04:57 PM
Congrats on the working thingy.(Billy, what finger do you think I'm holding up?)
