Read Glitcher,this is a fun and cheap class,rules at washington are the same but you have too run p brushes, sure hope too see you sat,too use your free entery.

glitcher - Yes, I PLAN on being there Saturday. No guarantees. I'll be running 4 cell stock and Spec. I'll watch the Bomber class.

sure had fun running the BOMBERS last night at River Junction would like too see more of them and other classes,new track pipes are nice you can juge the corners better.anyway a HAPPY EASTER to everyone.

Make your mind already. You wanted everyone to run speck class and alot of people bought speck batteries and speck motors, and now you want bombers. Can we stick to one class for a while until I get my money's worth from the parts I had to buy (ha ha)?

I vote for for no quads. Too many ways to cheat being that its an Illegal motor for ROAR/ARCOR/Norrca.

If possible, Sundays are better, as we have oval AND roadcourse on Saturdays. We could open as early as 10AM (Sunday) and race at 1PM, with the end being around 6PM or so. How many bombers ran? If I got it right you have to run spec motor with "p" brush, spec batt., 120 spur and a pre 1970 body. Did I get all right? Sounds like a cool class. Hope to make it down next week or in three weeks. Hopefully we're going to run the Indy car at the gate in two weeks.

I talked to Mike O'brien last night, he said Sunday May 2 seems to work for everyone. I think if we wait any longer than that the turnout might not be as good. Classic and Conley's will be racing outside then. Plus the guys that travel will start having big races coming up. Also summer events (graduation parties, weddings, etc) start to bog down their schedules.

Are we keeping it simple, No Binary's (quad magnets) allowed??

Will the oval be in the short position or the longer position for this race?

What is the minimum weight rule gonna be?

Eric, that would be fine, but YOU GUYS decide what runs and what does not. We'll just post (& enforce) the rules. We will need to know by the end of this weekend, so we can get our things together here. Are you wanting a "big race" with sandwich rings, veggie trays, etc. like we have done in the past, or do you just want to have a race, with the pizza arriving at 4:30?? Let us know. Pizza is fine. Plus you already have pop and chips to sell as well that is plenty to offer. This way the track keeps more money in their pocket.

Basically the only 2 things that are teched anymore is:
Roof hieght - Minimum 4 1/4"
For Weight - We follow ARCOR rules which is 39.8oz or 2.78 on most scales with a transponder in the car. ROAR and Norrca is even heavier, 40oz, ughhh.

The Binary motor is illegal for for big races but if you have been allowing it locally then its something you guys will have to decide. Mike is still convinced a P2K oh wait I mean a GM3, is faster than the Monster so I am not worried, LOL

Eric, that would be fine. The money thing is not that big of a deal- just the racers having a good time..really. We currently do allow binaries, but will NOT allow them on that race day. All of the "oval" classes are invited to run, except "novices", which will have run Saturday night. As far as "pit spots" - we should be OK, since there will only be oval racing. We will make sure we have extra tables ready for overflow if necessary, but currently have capacity for about 50 comfortable pit spots. If this is a "go", then we will proceed with the printing of a flier and let our regular racers know about it this weekend. Just tell me. Thanks, John @ RJ :wave:

If we only run 6 in the A, that's gonna be one tough A main to make, that is for sure.

3 rounds and a main would be nice,..some guys will be putting in a 2hr. trip that way they get more bang for the buck. But either way the blue car will be there bumping Dusty down another spot! Hey DD dont forget them there orange right rear tires,..THATS A LAP!

Frank(Old Hippie) - for the Bombers-can the back of the bodies be cut out, spoilers, wings? Also, is the spec class the same as it used to be-batteries can be taken out of the shrink wrap and put side-by-side to better fit the chassis? We'll probably try to make it for the May 2nd race.

Rick, the "new summer hours" are: OPEN Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat 10-9; Thurs 10-5; and closed Sun & Mon.
OK, now what you have all been waiting for:
The "Special Oval Race" will be Sunday May, 2, 2004 , with the doors opening at 10AM and the races starting at 1PM (latest). There will be 3 heats, with a re-sort after the 2nd heat, and 1 mains.
Classes are ONLY : 4 Cell Stock Nascar, 4 Cell Spec Nascar (our "spec"), 1/12th Scale Nascar stock, AND BOMBERS- these are Spec, with a 120T spur and the McAllister "Bomber" bodies. These will be the ONLY classes run - no novice, sedans, etc. since this is a different race day than the regular Saturday events.
Racing fees are the same as usual, and pizza will arrive at 4:30PM. Lunch will be another thing, with the best bet being that you are responsible for getting your own lunch, since it is during the practice anyway. Eric, I will send you an e-mail with the flyer in it. Thanks in advance to all that will be attending.
