Frank AStephens 04-12-2004, 05:52 PM Frank, Make your mind already. You wanted everyone to run speck class and alot of people bought speck batteries and speck motors, and now you want bombers. Can we stick to one class for a while until I get my money's worth from the parts I had to buy (ha ha)? Al Snookie 04-12-2004, 07:48 PM I think he means SPEC. Same class, just Bomber bodys & P brushes. glitcher 04-12-2004, 08:50 PM I'm not peeing on my brushes! Old Hippie 04-12-2004, 09:34 PM He should know that spec and bombers are the same that just the brushes and body, spur are different I told him on sat,he is too worried about keeping his batteries hot (ha!ha!) Snookie 04-12-2004, 09:49 PM I just want to see how FAST he can go in a Bomber. MByrne 04-12-2004, 10:05 PM into the wall or sombody else Mike OBrien 04-13-2004, 04:27 AM look whos talking :jest: erock1331 04-13-2004, 01:43 PM Hey guys i was talking to Mike "O" do you want to have a stock shootout in a few weeks? who's up for it! John maybe you can open a few hours early so guys coming from Akron and south can get on the track a little? Just a suggestion? thanks frank p. Any word on this race?? I can make it May 1st or 2nd. I talked to Adam Martin and Joel Biro, they are interested in coming too. Let us know. I vote for for no quads. Too many ways to cheat being that its an Illegal motor for ROAR/ARCOR/Norrca. MByrne 04-13-2004, 04:08 PM originally posted my: Mike OBrien look whos talkin :jest: thanks for tha confidence mike lol RacewayJohn 04-13-2004, 05:18 PM Eric, we'd LOVE to have one, but what day, and are you sure that 2 weeks is enough lead-time?? I don't mind, but I think we should give 'em 3 or so weeks to set their schedules. If possible, Sundays are better, as we have oval AND roadcourse on Saturdays. We could open as early as 10AM (Sunday) and race at 1PM, with the end being around 6PM or so. Just let me know - you know we are very accomodating.............John @ RJ  PGoogs 04-13-2004, 09:44 PM How many bombers ran? If I got it right you have to run spec motor with "p" brush, spec batt., 120 spur and a pre 1970 body. Did I get all right? Sounds like a cool class. Hope to make it down next week or in three weeks. Hopefully we're going to run the Indy car at the gate in two weeks. PGoogs 04-13-2004, 09:45 PM John do you have the motors, batts bodies, and brushes in stock for bombers and if so which bodies? erock1331 04-14-2004, 08:03 AM Eric, we'd LOVE to have one, but what day, and are you sure that 2 weeks is enough lead-time?? I don't mind, but I think we should give 'em 3 or so weeks to set their schedules. If possible, Sundays are better, as we have oval AND roadcourse on Saturdays. We could open as early as 10AM (Sunday) and race at 1PM, with the end being around 6PM or so. Just let me know - you know we are very accomodating.............John @ RJ :wave:John, I talked to Mike O'brien last night, he said Sunday May 2 seems to work for everyone. I think if we wait any longer than that the turnout might not be as good. Classic and Conley's will be racing outside then. Plus the guys that travel will start having big races coming up. Also summer events (graduation parties, weddings, etc) start to bog down their schedules. Are we keeping it simple, No Binary's (quad magnets) allowed?? Will the oval be in the short position or the longer position for this race? What is the minimum weight rule gonna be? Thanks, it should be a good one. RacewayJohn 04-14-2004, 10:06 AM Eric, that would be fine, but YOU GUYS decide what runs and what does not. We'll just post (& enforce) the rules. We will need to know by the end of this weekend, so we can get our things together here. Are you wanting a "big race" with sandwich rings, veggie trays, etc. like we have done in the past, or do you just want to have a race, with the pizza arriving at 4:30?? Let us know. Thanks in advance to all who will be coming to this event- I KNOW that it will be fun!!!!!!!!!! John @ RJ  erock1331 04-14-2004, 10:20 AM Pizza is fine. Plus you already have pop and chips to sell as well that is plenty to offer. This way the track keeps more money in their pocket. Basically the only 2 things that are teched anymore is: Roof hieght - Minimum 4 1/4" For Weight - We follow ARCOR rules which is 39.8oz or 2.78 on most scales with a transponder in the car. ROAR and Norrca is even heavier, 40oz, ughhh. The Binary motor is illegal for for big races but if you have been allowing it locally then its something you guys will have to decide. Mike is still convinced a P2K oh wait I mean a GM3, is faster than the Monster so I am not worried, LOL Let the smack talk begin. John are the 1/12th guys, Bombers and Spec class going to run too along with stock? Just wanting to know so I can get my pit spot reserved early. RacewayJohn 04-14-2004, 01:46 PM Eric, that would be fine. The money thing is not that big of a deal- just the racers having a good time..really. We currently do allow binaries, but will NOT allow them on that race day. All of the "oval" classes are invited to run, except "novices", which will have run Saturday night. As far as "pit spots" - we should be OK, since there will only be oval racing. We will make sure we have extra tables ready for overflow if necessary, but currently have capacity for about 50 comfortable pit spots. If this is a "go", then we will proceed with the printing of a flier and let our regular racers know about it this weekend. Just tell me. Thanks, John @ RJ  erock1331 04-14-2004, 01:50 PM Sounds good to me, I will spread the word around these parts. If you create the flyer on the computer is there a way you could email it to me? Also will it be 3 heats and a Main or just 2 heats? erock1331 04-14-2004, 02:41 PM Allen S - Do you have email? Rob from Voodoo Paintwerx wanted to talk to you about that body. Let me know Thanks Eric Hutkay Mike OBrien 04-14-2004, 03:37 PM ya he has one its :jest: meatstick@iWannaBeMikeObrien.com :jest: erock1331 04-14-2004, 03:42 PM Nice, But I just checked my address book, isn't that Wayne's email?? Mike OBrien 04-14-2004, 04:51 PM dusty who ???? erock1331 04-14-2004, 05:07 PM If we only run 6 in the A, that's gonna be one tough A main to make, that is for sure. With names like Peachock, the Liehr's, Dean, O'brien, I'll be happy to make the B main on a flat track. LOL Mike is it gonna be 2 or 3 heats? I thought Dusty only ran Touring car now? Oh wait he is making an oval comeback now that he won a nats title. My bad, I forgot. Old Hippie 04-14-2004, 07:48 PM GOOGS,you have it right about the BOMBERS.Just let us know when your coming. Frank frank p. 04-14-2004, 08:07 PM 3 rounds and a main would be nice,..some guys will be putting in a 2hr. trip that way they get more bang for the buck. Andy see if you can get ahold of Sky,Finetune, and the Red Fox crew maybe they will come too? spread the word guys lets have a good one Lohrr1 04-14-2004, 09:47 PM Frank(Old Hippie) - for the Bombers-can the back of the bodies be cut out, spoilers, wings? Also, is the spec class the same as it used to be-batteries can be taken out of the shrink wrap and put side-by-side to better fit the chassis? We'll probably try to make it for the May 2nd race. Rick Snookie 04-14-2004, 10:24 PM Bombers, back of the body stays. no wings. Batts. can be unwraped to fit your chassie. AStephens 04-14-2004, 11:03 PM erock1331. her is my email for rob. stephensA660@aol.com thanks.. al PGoogs 04-15-2004, 10:59 AM Thanks for the info Frank. OK, now what you have all been waiting for: The "Special Oval Race" will be Sunday May, 2, 2004 , with the doors opening at 10AM and the races starting at 1PM (latest). There will be 3 heats, with a re-sort after the 2nd heat, and 1 mains.
