Mike, it's all your fault!! You missed a Saturday, and,.....all $%@%^$^%#*%^#$*&(^&(&$%&^&^&*^^$^%$ breaks loose!!!! Actually, our "loaner" AMB decoder box was DEAD, and I could NOT get Mary to let me hand-score the races. Therefore, we hand-scored the races with a pen and paper!!!! I have since been in touch with AMB, and they are sending a replacement "loaner" and/or sending ours back fixed(hopefully). If this were to happen again, (in the future?) I think that we would either "run for fun" or try to dig out the ole' parking lot program.... John @ RJ

Googs, most guys are using Jaco Aqua rears, Lf green Rr black.. TRC green rears Lf green Rt black...
As far as set-up,LR gold and RR red side springs 30-35 wt oil, green or silver center spring 60-65 wt oil. Lf. white spring +1 to 1 1/2 camber o to 2 caster. Rf red or green spring -2 camber 2 to 4 caster depending how hard you want the car to enter the corner..

Vogan is running an old Hyperdrive, need his tips. get (Voganized)!

Yes, Brett I/ we hope you feel better. Ear aches are bad enough when you are young, and they don't get easier as you get older!
I want to let racers know, that although I will be at "The Gate" for the U.S. On-Road Nationals this week, I will be driving back to run the races here on Saturday, with the doors opening at 2PM, and the races STARTING at 5PM sharp. Please try to come over and watch the mains on Sunday, but if you cannot, wish our guys the best of luck here on the thread. Thanks, John @ RJ

Mike, car is tight in (kinda pushie) loose out. Think t-bar is too soft (not enough FT. bite) and or RR tire maybe too soft making the car push front tires into the corner...

I should be there with mine Tim. Don't know if I'll be able to hear Mary's pretty voice though. I might need John to throw the checkered flag when the race is over.

Thanks again for the help. My set up is pretty close to what was posted but I'll try the changes. What battery position do you guys use. My problem was it lifted the LR and rolled over alot in the corners.

John
Did you guys end up grounding Ray's Speedo at the nats?
I saw his 1/12th was getting hits too when he went around the track.
It usually helps out when the conditions were the way they were. Lots of steel, heat and humidity in the building.

Wayne
You got mail.

Eric, no we did not. But, we did replace everything electric in the car. Probably, it was the servo, but the ESC had to go too. This did work, and he TQ'd in the 4th qualifier, which put him (for the mains) at 14th place....................how about THAT for ROAR "qual. points"????? Is ARCOR interested in branching out?? John @ RJ

erock1331
03-30-2004, 03:12 PM
Sowhat do they do take an average for qualifying based on all your heats?

Never heard anything like that before

RacewayJohn
03-30-2004, 03:43 PM
Eric it is the best 2 runs to qual. for the Mains, but somehow, Ray ended up 14th??? This qual points thing was originally designed for off-road, and when T-Rex came to POWER, he added it to on-road and oval. I think that the ROAR members should start a petition to have "Qual. Points" changed to another type of seeding, AND, maybe start some sort of National member database that RANKS drivers according to their previous ROAR-santioned experiences, which would solve about 1/2 of the problems this weekend.............. John @ RJ :(

erock1331
03-30-2004, 03:51 PM
hmmm that is interesting way of doing it.

I guess I kinda see both sides of it. It keeps out the guy who gets lucky on one run who probably shouldnt be in the main. But then on the other hand it hurts guys like Ray who had problems all day with electrical issues but then kicks butt on his last run.

In Oval qualifying you run 2 heats then they do a resort based on how you stand, then you run 2 more with guys more you speed. But for main qualifying is still your one best run not based on points. Then if you make the A-main, your run 3 of them, they drop your worst run and take total points from your 2 better runs to declare the winner.
I like this option in case you get punted in turn 1. But alot of people disagreee and I think for next year ROAR changed the rule to single A-mains.

Can anyone tell me what the race schedule is. What classes are run at the track.

RacewayJohn
04-02-2004, 12:53 PM
Mr. Fastman, thanks for your interest. Our new schedule is: Saturdays, doors open at 2PM, oval and roadcourse practice, races start at 5PM. Pizza arrives at 4:30PM. We run oval AND roadcourse classes alternating through the race evening, 2 heats and 1 mains. We usually get finished at about 8:30 - 9PM. Classes are (oval) 4 Cell Stock Nascar, Spec (any chassis pancar, with Spec motor and Spec 4 cell battery), 1/12th scale Nascar, and sometimes trucks. Roadcourse is mostly sedan stock, but sometimes 1/12th scale stock also runs. If you have any other question let me know, or if you need directions. John@RJ  riverjct@earthlink.net
