So what up for this weekend? Anyone looking to run 4WD again this week? I didn't get to run the main last week, so I need to make up a race.

Immediately after this Saturday's racing, work is to begin on changing the track layout to prepare for next week's Indiana Outdoor Electric Offroad. The new layout will offer a challenge to both local and out-of-town racers, and reduce the "home court advantage". If any racers are able to stick around after the race and volunteer with pulling up the black flex-pipe barriers to clear the track for the bobcat, it would be most appreciated.

Hi guys I'm contemplating running in your trophy race this coming weekend. After a poor performance at the Brickyard Bash at Planet r/c in indy I feel a need for another chance at some hardware.
What tires and foam combo's are hooking up for you guy out there?
Are all the pit spaces indoors? Do I need to bring a table & chair and maybe a tent?
Also what are the hotel rates like at motel 8 or days inn?

Thanks Voodoo...

Voodoo,
Tires being used are Red Big shots, X-2000, stock foams work well.
Truck, IFMAR Pin and Holeshots work with stock foams. It would be great if you could make it!
Motels close to the track...Econo Lodge 260-484-6262 $35-40 a night
Knights Inn 260-4842669 $35-40 a nite
Both Hotels are about 1-1 1/2 miles from track

Hope to see you there. I belive you will like the track. There are alot of indoor tables and chairs. It might not hurt to bring an extension cord and power strip. Outside area available too but you will need to bring a canopy and table and chair for that.

The new layout is near complete, just some polishing here and there. After watching Austin run some laps with a 10 double, mod class is going to be fun on this layout.

One other note that wasn't mentioned on the entry form is that the rain date is on the following day, the 15th.

Did Summit Raceway ever get there rechargable Track Transponders?
I do not have a Personal Transponder and am afraid this would be a make or break factor as for me being able to come race with you guys this weekend.
Does the Hobbyshop have any Personal Transponders in stock?

The track is super fast, Before we were runing on average about 22.6's now I think that we will run about 21.3's (both in stock) I got a chance to run with both a stock and mod. Mod will definetly be fun. Hopefully Scott can get up the new pics that I sent him to put together. After the rain on Tuesday the track looks very smooth. I got up on the first table top and packed it down, it got super hard!!!! SWEET.

Finally, I am going to be able to come run at the Fort! Are you guys going water in between heats or no water at all. Just so I can get an idea what to set my truck up for. I am talking for the trophy race. I have only run my MF2 a few times and love it! No Breakage!! Unlike my T4. That truck is fast but I had durability issues with it. Looks like great weather for racing. Is there electric outdoors incase I want or have to pit outdoors?

Thanks,
Randy

yes water will be put on track and kept wet for all races and the track will be swept also with the help of the racers. Yes you can pit out side there should be a extention line to run out side on the side walk and tables and chairs can be set up also. I pitted out side all last year and a lot of other guys did too.

Paul and I headed over to The Fort yesterday to practice. Took a big load of tires to try out. Showed up about 10:30 your time. Went to lunch and to a go-kart track. Came back about 3:00, still nobody. Went home.

The Baron tried to warn us by calling on the phone -- thanks, John -- but we had already left. Oh well. See you Saturday.

Sorry I couldn't make it up for friday practice :(, I know I could have used the time to find the setup for my B4 . I Plan on using the money that would have been for a hotel room,on getting one of the Personal Transponders, If the shop still has any. Cant find one in Indy. That way I can run with My new body (The one with the EVO Grafix Decals). It looks so good I can't bring Myself to poking a Transponder hole in it.
Hope the shop has plenty of Bigshots in stock, Cant find those in Indy either.

Jesse Robbers normaly runs Modified motors, I've seen him at Planet r/c 6 or 7 times and never seen him run stock.

Hope the weather is good see you tomorrow VooDoo...

I kind of figured it was mod. The only time I really see him is at nitro races. I just did not know if he was going to run mod truck also? From the looks of practice today, it is mod buggy only.

The Indiana Off-Road champ races were on the 21-Alive 11pm news tonight. For those who missed it there's a possibility it could be on sunday also. Some excellent mod buggy racing footage and shows Redbarren being interviewed. He did an outstanding job.

Also, thanks to Greg June for the great job he did as race director, the local club members for all the work they put in and time sacrificed, Nicks Hobby Shop for helping with the trophies and door prizes, and the out of town racers that came in and help provide the outstanding competition that Summit Raceway was fortunate enough to have today.

Great racin today!

I Know that Off-road racing is not scheduled for next saturday because they got the monster truck event going on.
I would like to know how many want to run on Sunday instead? I was thinking a noon or 1pm start time?
there was also some mention of running mod truck.
I'm up for that or 19 turn truck. Any others interested?
