View Full Version : New Off Road Track in Fort Wayne otto_3478s 06-09-2004, 11:22 PM can you say new tranny, and white ball cups & yokes. AHHHHHH SHWEEEETTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! This truck is dialed!!!!!!!!! otto_3478s 06-10-2004, 09:20 PM We will have the new headlights and grilles(they come together)for the MF2 at the track this weekend! they are cool tafog 06-10-2004, 11:15 PM austin/John I need a Red and Chrome grill for the new truck I will have this one painted soon maybe saturday. we only have one truck left of the 4 that Nick's got they are going fast blueracer55 06-11-2004, 01:22 PM how's the turn out now. is there a bigger show since the d.o. was dismissed? kgwomack 06-11-2004, 01:49 PM Yes there was a bigger turnout last week. Almost double the entries from previous weeks. This week looks even bigger. Rumor has it that some guys might come up from Indy also. Karl kgwomack 06-11-2004, 01:54 PM The racing last week was pretty close. We had three solid heats of stock truck. One heat of stock buggy, but that will probably grow. I also know that there has been some discussion on running nineteen turn. I would run it, but I would rather see stock grow first before we break off and run another class. Karl adonovan 06-11-2004, 03:23 PM Ya last week we had some 20 racers show up and race. This week offers to be even bigger. I cant wait and see what those new MF2 trucks can do in the hands of our local drivers. Lets see some more 2wd stock buggy's out there. The overal day went extremly well, I think we finished around 5-5:30pm, and then they let those that wanted to stay and practice for a while do so. Aaron D. adonovan 06-11-2004, 03:30 PM how's the turn out now. is there a bigger show since the d.o. was dismissed?Dirt Oval? there was a dirt oval here? get out of here. Well it is dirt and some guys are running circle around me, Redbarron, Otto, Cory, Nathan, all he!! every body runs circles around me.:) sheath 06-11-2004, 05:36 PM Redbaron, Don't get the XX4 all set up just on my account this weekend. There's a good chance I won't make it Saturday. About 70/30 against right now. If I do make it, I'll roll in late and miss the first qualifier. I was snooping around the internet the other day, and found a company making a conversion chassis for the XX4. It uses the XX4 front and rear suspension, diffs and steering, with their chassis, and makes it a single belt drivetrain. Not that I would rush out and buy that... just interesting. cory30 06-11-2004, 07:36 PM Stopped by the track this afternoon, and with all the rain the track is very, very smooth. All the water was gone, except a couple small puddles. With nomore rain the track will be awesome tomarrow. redbaron 06-12-2004, 02:09 AM Redbaron, Don't get the XX4 all set up just on my account this weekend. Scott, I'm aware of the x5 conversion and have one on order. Kinda cool xx4 suspension and xxx4 driveline. should be the best of both worlds. I know the Sinclars, The owners and I ordered one to help support there new company. I will be at the track rain or shine sat 9am. sheath 06-12-2004, 11:34 PM Thanks to the racers that came out today despite the amount of rain that fell in Ft. Wayne on Friday night. The guys that came out worked on the track and got the show started a couple hours late, but started none the less. With flood warnings out in the area, it's a real credit to all that worked on the track that we were able to run at all today. Good racing and a good time. And we didn't have to water the track all day! Corey1701 06-13-2004, 02:45 AM Wow, you guys raced!!!! That track must have some hella good drainage. I would have been there if I had thought there was a remote chance it would go on. Well, hopefully next week. Corey blueracer55 06-13-2004, 10:33 AM hey john got 5th in the a-main. not too bad for not racing o.r. for 9 months. i really like that t-4. i just didn't have any turn in? robbins laid the smack down with the new mf2. he was on track record pace all night. i should have gotten third. i have to come up there this summer. whole shots right? cory30 06-13-2004, 10:54 AM Don't feel bad Corey,I did not take my cars with me when I stopped by the track yesterday.I did not think there was any possible way we could race.I won't do that again. So from now on if it's not raining on saturday no matter how much we got the night before we will probably be racing. Cory R. adonovan 06-13-2004, 04:31 PM After everybody worked on the track to get it ready to run on. It was hooked up. The traction was as good as its ever been. The racing was great, we had Mike Bates from Indy come up and give it a go , he wheeled his 3x around the track. Hopefully next week there will be no rain on Fri. or Sat. and we'll have more people come out. If you have'nt been to Summit yet you need to get out there and race. redbaron 06-15-2004, 12:30 PM So far weather looks good for this Saturday. Has anyone heard if Nick's got any big shots in yet? adonovan 06-15-2004, 02:39 PM Has anyone heard if Nick's got any big shots in yet? Just talked with Karen, The Losi parts, are on a slow boat from China literally. The tires are made in China. They ordered them as soon as they where out of stock on them and they've been on back order ever since. The stuff should be here next week, thats the best Horizon could give them. I hope that this info. helps, if your in need of tires please give your local track hobby shop another week. I have an out-of-town appointment at 6:00 PM, so I'd have to cut the day short anyway. I know there are a couple of MF2 trucks ready to hit the track, so you shouldn't be the only one, John. tafog 06-18-2004, 06:53 PM well I am ready but I do not have a body done yet so I will just come for moral support saturday. some of you guys need moral support haha C. This may make him harder to beat next week. what did you think of the new truck? C. Oldfield 06-21-2004, 08:34 PM Chris, Did Karl get that paint job done yet? Last I saw it was still in the plastic bag. I don't think it's vary high on his list of things to do. He has had it for five weeks. C. I will be up for sure saturday kgwomack 06-24-2004, 10:53 PM Chris, five weeks brother. You gave me the body on June 12th. Saturday would make it two weeks. I was pretty sick last week, and am still getting over the flu, but I did get it taped up. It needs to be sprayed but I work tomorrow, so I won't get it painted until Saturday. I'll be in first thing in the morning on Sat to paint it, and with fast color and heat, it could be run. Karl XXX-Fan 06-25-2004, 01:00 AM What is the tire of choice for truck? C.
