Man, I just stopped by the off-road track today. (Tuesday evening) The track looks wicked. I had a chance to burn a few laps with Tims E Max. It was alot of fun. It was still a little too rough for my MF, but the E Max handled it OK, as far as E Maxes go. The thing turns next week. It needs a quicker steering servo. I had trouble trying to line up the jumps when trying to run fast. But once it was lined up, can someone say, SERIOUS AIR. That thing looks cool five feet in the air.

Anyway, see you all Saturday. John, I'll pay better attention for the starting tone this time.

Karl.

If it goes like anything close to last years race. I had a great time watching Redbarron win my money. I 'll mark it down on the calander. Since your race is on Sunday and Summit's race is on Saturday, this will work out great for everyone.

Yeh, I know what ya mean Karl. After watching you run that E-MAX around the off-road track those things are going to be a big crowd pleaser. Maybe with the slow steering that it has the old man that runs Nick's hobby shop can get one so he can finally race with us.

Do you think he can keep up? :jest:I'm not sure if he knows which end of the truck faces foward. Does he know where the batteries go???? Somebody remind him that it's not a control line anymore, they got rid of those last century. Oh ya when you see Nick again be sure to say and I quote "Hi Nick", thats so he wont forget his name:D

I stoped by the track this morning and the track looks grate. To all who were involved you did an outstanding job. Just thought your hard work should be recognized. The weather is going to be good for Saturday, the weather service says sunny 75 and a zero chance for rain. So lets all go out and support the track and the guys who built a track that looks like alot of fun.

Thanks for the compliments on the track. Dale, Phil, Seth Cory, Nathan, Austin and myself all worked together thru the rain to hook u guys up.
I ran the layout tonite I think it's the best layout yet!
There were about 7 guys running on it tonite and I belive everyone likes it.
We are getting very good response from it so far we have several guys traveling from Indy next week to chech things out.

See everyone tomarrow....should be a good time.

Guys we could very well have a good thing goin here.
I had a great time today as I think most of us did. I'm looking foward to next week already. Maybe I'll have a chance to work on my stuff so Austin won't kick my tail again.

I had a great time too, today. Come on out Ron.... we had both Karl and Ben out playin' in the dirt today, which is something I never would have predicted a year ago. Both made the A-main. Ben did it the hard way... no practice, and missing the first 2 out of 3 qualifiers!

It was good to see everyone who turned out today and raced. I think 22 or 23 entries, not bad for the first weekend this summer. I even saw Kevin S. and Charlie looking around and they're oval guys. They need to dust off there stuff and race. They need to dust off there slightly used Bk2 that only saw action in Indy, and get over it, and come out and have some fun (hint, hint). Everyone had alot of fun the show was ran really well, and the racing was very tight. The track is INCREDIBLE, my hats off to all who helped build it, you know who you are. If you have not raced at Summit before but have heard about it and read this thread you really need to come up, over or down here and give it a shot you'll have a blast.

I want to thank everyone that came out. It was alot of fun. The racing was very close. Everyone in the A main qualified within one lap. The B main and the C main were the same way. The track is very fun to run on. It will teach drivers throttle control. I can't wait until next week. Austin won both stock truck and buggy. Good job.

Karl

Hey Barron I let a lot of people know in Indy that Off-road has returned and the Oval is gone at Summit. I will bring my C-main state indoor victory to Summit next Saturday.

I might even give the off-road thing a try........but I'm having fun at the velo and up at "Littl Darlington" in Lagrange.........some pretty fast left turn only action!!!!!!!!

P.s. Looks like Summitt Raceway will survive year round.....:)

Wanted to say that the track is awsome. This was some of the best racing and the most fun I have had on a track, even with as bad as I ran this weekend.

Well I qualified 5th and took 5th in the A main... my 4X4 is just not fast enough for the likes of austin, carl, nate, corey. Even though my lap times were very close together they where also a full second off the leaders. So I am not to upset with my beloved HPI's performance. I need better batterys and a new motor, then, just maybe then, I could make the triples!!!

the track is great!!!!
