View Full Version : New Off Road Track in Fort Wayne DriverX 05-14-2003, 03:34 PM deleted by me to get out of here for good pancarman01 05-14-2003, 04:40 PM im running 4wd buggy  BenPuterbaugh 05-14-2003, 11:35 PM 1/10 rally; could I run a TC3 rally with the 4wds? It looks like it meets all the rules  dynoman007 05-15-2003, 12:19 AM please do that ben there is no minimum width length only a max .... BenPuterbaugh 05-15-2003, 12:57 PM please do that ben there is no minimum width length only a max .... Looks like I will. Brian Millard is in too, working on Mergy and Womack. Everybody wants to try the off-road thing and support the track, for me it's matter of what class makes the most sense from a fun/cost standpoint. Looks to be pretty economical as well, I can get the conversion kit and a body for about $60. I will be able to get this deal for anyone who is interested as well to help get the class started. Really you probably don't even need the 200 mm arms or the body(you could run a worn out carpet season body), bare minimum you need the tires and the shock springs(soft) and maybe the shock shafts to get enough ground clearance, so going really cheap it would cost $22 for 4 tires and rims(my cost), $8 for springs(or run silvers= $0) & $5 for shock shafts. I think within the first few weeks of the track operating I'll be ready to take it for a spin. dynoman007 05-15-2003, 04:53 PM it will be a blast to see some rally 4wd cars on the track lol ...... i think you may have to drive slow thru the triple jump and doubles leading to the back straight ... but if you had a lil more shock travel you never know ... goracing87g 05-16-2003, 08:57 AM are you racing sat i heard you were R. Dornseif 05-18-2003, 09:35 PM This week brought what looked as a rain threaten day, but the rain held off. Their was a total of 30 race entrees. The track looked great and the cars flyn' high, Laws Airlines was landing the triples in gas truck and Sult was setting the pace in the Electric and Gas Truck qualifiers. All was close racing. I had to leave before the mains I'm sure that I missed out. I know that there will be more competition for the up coming race this weekend. Hope to see ya. Please check out the following link for pics of the one of the best off-road tracks around and the May Race Calendar http://members.aol.com/sheath9831/racewaypictures.html http://hometown.aol.com/sheath9831/myhomepage/maycalendar.html redbaron 05-20-2003, 12:13 AM First Race went well. I think everyone had a good time. It's about time Fort Wayne racers got to race at a great racing facility without having to drive 2 hours! I heard alot of car kits were sold on sunday. betcha we got one big novice class this week.......The track was exellent!..... there are not to many outdoor tracks with Dirt this good. DriverX 05-20-2003, 02:27 PM and he talks funny Xpressman 05-20-2003, 09:30 PM So is the track going to be watered or just let mother nature do her work??? I really hope it is up to her. dynoman007 05-20-2003, 09:48 PM yeah what x said i do talk funny but driverx's mom dresses him funny :jest: :dude:   :D     :p :) redbaron 05-20-2003, 11:07 PM We try to water the Track consistantly for everyone. The first race only took a slight watering and a broom between rounds.... I think most racers will crap when they see how well developed this surface is. It is one of the most consistant outdoor surfaces I've seen.......hopefully things will only improve as we go along. goracing87g 05-21-2003, 08:51 AM do you have ne tires that i can have ? the stock one suck they are easily worn out on dirt that soft minee are slicks practialry and i need a new front brace and bumper thom thanks for all your help I can wait to race a 100 !! foot staightaway thats like a frickin talledaga what does it cost and when will it be over i have no time limit this weekend thom goracing87g 05-21-2003, 08:53 AM perfect day of racing http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USIN0211?lswe=fort+wayne&lswa=WeatherLocalUndeclared&whatprefs= redbaron 05-21-2003, 07:52 PM Who is racin this weekend?
