number_0 04-18-2003, 12:55 AM whos ready for some dirt dobbin at sandhills i know i am
oh patterson make sure you move out of the way when i lap you
R Jewett 04-18-2003, 01:48 PM I am so ready for offroad. Chris it might be you moving out of the way lol. I just can't wait to run something other then a blue tire. I can't even remember what traction feels like. Hey chris got that xxx4 ready for this summer. I know there is a few that want to run them. Andy wants one I think I should have one by June.
jesler1 04-19-2003, 10:46 PM Is this the race track in Fayettville, NC. If so I'm thinking of starting to race there this summer. I live in Goldsboro and the track here is going to carpet, but I still want to race offroad. Any tips for this track? Thanks for your help.
Joe
no, the track is in vass nc. Sandhills Raceway... (aka) Big Perm Offroad Track....The offroad track is to the side of the building....
jesler1 04-21-2003, 10:00 AM Any tips for racing this track, like motor truck setup etc..? Also do they run a stock truck class?
number_0 04-23-2003, 10:14 AM jesler what type of truck do you drive i can help with some set up and yes they run stock truck it is the biggest class as far as motor i like running paradoxes with hardest springs you can get and an r brush it might not show well on a dyno but is seems to really run good on the track when you cxome down you can come over and the group that i pit with and i would be happy to help you out with a set up thats no problem at all i will be the one with parts for sell
jesler1 04-23-2003, 10:27 AM Number_0
I run a Losi XXXT. Thanks for the help they start racing May 3 right? Hopefully I'll be able to make it down.
number_0 04-23-2003, 10:34 AM yes may 3rd a gear to start with is orange spur and 25 or 26 pinnon and 40 wt shock oil
jesler1 04-23-2003, 11:19 AM That big of a pinion? I ran a 20T pinion with my 88T spur with a P2K and the motor got super hot, wouldn't gearing up like that make it hotter?
number_0 04-23-2003, 02:22 PM yeah but at what track rosewood? you need alot different gear there than at sandhills and yes the motor does get hot but it doesnt get hot enough to hurt performance
SPOOFY 04-24-2003, 12:51 PM The new track layout and lights are under construction as I'am typing this. A few more turns and jumps as well as a new track surface. A sand clay mix on the top. Drivers get out your step-pins.
number_0 04-24-2003, 04:46 PM great to hear now back to the set up table gotta beat spoofy
Spoofy's Daddy 04-25-2003, 01:23 AM Cant wait to get the xxx-4's goin....
jesler1--- If your wanting set-ups dont get them from number_0 all he is just a backmarker that always seems to be in the way... LOL Hope to see you there man. You can't miss our group. We are the crazy bunch that sets up in the very corner next to the track and beside the small pinetrees. Look for Spoofy... He's Heads above the rest if you know what I mean.
Spoofy's Daddy 04-25-2003, 01:25 AM Also with the track surface and lay-out changing the gearing will change with it. Should only be + or - a tooth. Hopefully we will get it complete saturday if it dosent rain. And maybe sneek in some practice.
number_0 04-25-2003, 09:04 AM back marker if i am a back marker then you are a didnt nun  and jesler yeah we will be the one that are just joking around hey s daddy so now i really know why your not going tc racing yourf scared ok i understand
R Jewett 04-25-2003, 09:38 AM Don't worry Chris he might be at the track but it's not like he is going to do anything. I think he is scared, he did get beat at the open by his little brother you know. That might have permently scared him.
I got a 10X10 quickshade for this summer. I don't think Pual is going to race so at least we will still have a canopy. All of us but Medler.LOL
number_0 04-25-2003, 10:13 AM great zoom has an easy up too and gp will be bringing a canopy as well
jesler1 04-25-2003, 11:33 AM Is there a full up parts store and everything at this track, so when I break something I won't have to stop racing? Thanks for the invite guys I really appreciate it. I probably won't be there this Saturday but the next you can count on it. Its about an hour and a half drive from where I'm from and the wife won't let me go every weekend so I'm planning on going when they have the race's. Thanks again guys.
Joe

Joe
number_0 04-29-2003, 11:20 AM hey jesler the track was tacky very tacky just bring step pins also i doubt that anyone will brake parts there thats just my .02 i hope to meet you soon at the perm
SPOOFY 04-29-2003, 11:32 AM The track was OK Sunday when we ran on it a little. The lights are finished and the track is still under construction, a few changes have been made after Sundays run. I ran a 19 tooth pinion and the stock spur gear and was very fast (Losi XXXT-MF). It should be a fun year at BIG PERM.
jesler1 04-29-2003, 03:27 PM Is there any place to get tires and motors and that kind of thing down there, like any other hobbyshops or anything. There are some things that I will need to buy before I can get down there on Sat. Thanks for the help guys. Later.
Joe
SPOOFY 04-29-2003, 03:35 PM Talk to number_0, he runs a hobby shop in Fayetteville, NC. Hayes Hobby House is an other shop in Fayettville. Big Perm is located at sandhills raceway, its a carpet oval track, the hobby shop there has, batteries, shock oil, motors, but no offroad stuff like tires rims and a-arm.
number_0 04-29-2003, 04:22 PM jesler what kind of tires do you need let me know and i will bring them saturday i think step pins and 8 ribbed fronts are going to be the best atleast at first i will bring tires with me anyway some pre mounted rears too
jesler1 04-29-2003, 07:46 PM Yeah number_0 that would be great if you could bring me a sets of those step pins mounted on losi rims, if you could bring me a motor also, maybe a p2k or something. Let me know how much it will be and I'll pay you down there. Hey guys I really appreciate the help, its cool that you guys are helping me and you've never even met me, thanks.
Joe

R Jewett 05-06-2003, 10:50 AM Acually he has purple bodies with pink flames to go along with his pink touring car. But don't pick on him about it he's kind of senative about it. And I bet he paints his 4WD car the same way.LOL
SPOOFY 05-06-2003, 10:52 AM I will remember that next time you ask me for paint mask for your car. He's just made that I kick his but.
R Jewett 05-06-2003, 10:57 AM Yeh you did beat me those two races we had this week. But I was distracted! I had your daddy pitting on my side of the table. Thats enough to mess anyone up.
Spoofy's Daddy 05-06-2003, 12:16 PM Randy dont hate bc you cant keep up with us.... I felt bad for you the second heat so I waited up on ya. I mean jesus me and andy had ran away from you in like 2 laps. You obviously suck!!!!!

SPOOFY 05-06-2003, 12:17 PM I will have to agree with daddy about Randy, and that B4 what a piece of slow junk.
Spoofy's Daddy 05-06-2003, 12:18 PM Ohh and Randy lets not even get started on the buggy class..... All I need to say is that Chris out-ran you....
