jbm38 03-22-2003, 09:18 AM andyPA try your stock L30 before going nuts on chassis convertions and all sorts of hot parts. For the MILL the only changes you might want to make is a spring steel t-plate and the WOLFE long king pins and WOLFE springs for the front.
Andy
Yes GP's the only way to go............
andyPa 03-23-2003, 09:53 AM is everyone switching to 4 cells i've read alot about people liking the 4 cell stock and 19turn

SMROCKET 03-23-2003, 12:45 PM I have run the .063 tplate there for a couple of years and will run the sofest FINSISHLINE PRODCUTS t-plate this year.....

davidl 03-25-2003, 12:29 PM Gentlemen - I have finished with the initial plans and have the signed paper work to announce the 1st Annual Eastcoast Oval Super Regional scheduled for 28 & 29 June, 2003. It is a ROAR sanctioned event at Willow Mill Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA. Drivers from all regions are welcome at this event. The classes will be 4-cell stock, 4-cell modified, and 19 turn for the 1/10th scale cars. Interest will dictate whether a 1/12 class will be run.
Willow Mill Speedway is one of the best paved oval tracks in the east. The weather for that time of year will be excellent. I am sure there will be some racing under the lights, which is always fun, and the Friday prior will be setup for open practice.
Please look for the race flyers in the next few weeks. Operator George Verbonitz has made a great commitment to ROAR and oval racing with the agreement to conduct this event. Please, all drivers try to find a way to attend this race, which is hoped to be the first of many for the ensuing years. Also, pre-enter so that George and the Willow Mill Speedway staff know how to plan for the proper level of awards. He is a great guy and deserves your support.
gordieb 03-26-2003, 07:20 PM Keep up the good work Dave, Can we get some hotel info in that area.
davidl 03-26-2003, 07:30 PM Sorry, I am not familiar with that area. I hate to pass the buck, but I suggest contacting George. He should have all the information.
ADX Racer 03-26-2003, 09:51 PM Willow Mill's website is www.willowmill.com
I hope this helps some of your questions. :D
roaddog 03-26-2003, 10:14 PM Its right near Carlisle which has a few hotels, you wont have any trouble finding a room.
Yes there is plenty of hotels in the area and you dont have to go into carlisle. I live in Mech. and within just 2 miles from the track there are Holiday Inns, Comfort inns and a little farther another hotel i dont know what it is called. Have fun see all of you there. :)
andyPa 03-28-2003, 12:37 AM what class was the most popular last year
BEACH 03-30-2003, 08:06 PM There are several nearby hotels right on the Carlisle Pike as ADX2 mentioned. I will try to get some info on them with phone numbers and room rates, however, there is a Ramada Limited about a minute from the track. There are also alot of places to eat and a couple of shopping malls if anyone brings the wife and kids. Beach
Yes the area is full of things to do. Sports Emporium which is a go kart, mini golf, and arcade is only 10 minutes away. Plenty of things to do so come out and race. Rick
BEACH 04-01-2003, 11:45 PM Rick, where do you race at?
Negley97 09-06-2004, 12:46 PM I'm a brand new RC Racer and I live maybe 20 minutes from this track. I've ran my TC3 on it just for kix to get use to oval racing but I'd like to compete in 2005 and have some fun with the rest of you guys. I hear a lot about hyperdrive cars and was wondering what model you guys run at Willo? Also since I'm new what model do you think would fit the "new" guy to racing? Thanks for your help and if I posted this in the wrong thread sorry.
BEACH 09-07-2004, 07:57 AM Negley.....hyperdrive 0700 shorty or just the regular 0700 is just as good. YOU WONT GO WRONG BUYING A HYPERDRIVE!!!
four purple tires, protoform HD monte carlo and your set!
Negley97 09-07-2004, 08:01 AM Thanks for the reply Beach, I have another stupid question for you (please dont laugh), the difference between a 0700 and a 0700 shorty? Is one 1/10 and the other 1/12th or is it a shorter body? Thanks for the help and I'll start looking around.
Matt Nothstein 09-07-2004, 12:34 PM The 0700 shorty is just a shorter chassis than the regular chassis. It's a real nice piece, truely it is..haha
BEACH 09-07-2004, 10:41 PM shorty is a bit shorter then the original.....great car!!!! If you get a chance to stop in on sunday at the mill, its our last day of racing this season.....See George for more info on the car. Jim
Negley97 09-08-2004, 12:03 AM As far as I know the wife has no plans so I should be there with my daughter to catch some of the last action. I'll be the guy in a Michigan shirt :)
