I just got off the phone with Tim at Hobby Plex. He said they should have a pretty good turn out next weekend, he has been on the phone for the last couple of weeks to get more people to come out next weekend. I asked him about 6 cell stock & Saturday practice. He said that if there are enough for 6 cell stock, they would run it. As for Saturday practice, he said that if it rains they go inside to race touring cars but if it was not raining we should be able to practice. He said that he could have the track set up around noon or even earlier if he gets a chance. I would think we would need to be carefull about frequencies though since they will be racing on the other side of the wall.

Jason, not sure yet? Lee and his son, My son and me, I think Eddy and Dom will go. Not sure about Eric, he is race the kimbrough 400 this weekend in Vegas. How about Mr. Cole, how is Matt doing? Mr. Tfrahm?


Talked to Mike he wants to go real bad, he is trying to talk Bob and the rest of the guys into it. If they don't, he and big rob will go.:thumbsup:

Larry, Mr.Cole is not going. Matt hasn't raced in a couple weeks so I don't know what to say about him. Mr. Frahm came down a couple weeks ago and is doing fine. Looking foward to racing with you guys again. It would be nice if Eric would come we are all going to run 1/12th scale oval. Talk to you later

1) i live close enough to hobby plex to be able to call it my home track, but dont.
2) as far as contacting local oval racers in the area i havent heard anyone talking about it.. so its possible he is blowing smoke..
3) at first hobby plex had a good turn out of 6 cell stock class and other classes.. but it just seemed to fall off.. you will have to ask tim about that..
4) as far as some of you are coming.. thought i would give you an idea of what a local thought of hobby plex..
5) oh yeh i have had some trouble in the past trying to get in and practice,but not anymore.

It is a nice track, & if we are the only ones that show up to race, it will be fine with us. We like to race with each other, & we don't care where that is (Orlando, Omaha, Springfield, Devner, etc.) Everyone knows that there is some bad blood there but we don't care, we just want to race.

All in all, I think that we had a decent weekend. The results have been posted on the Kimbrough 400 THread on the "other races category" on this site. The track started out real loose and dirty, but came around nicely on Saturday.

Lar- I dont think me and Dom are going to make it to Omaha because he cant miss summer school, my dad is running on saturday (if it doesnt rain) and i have to work on sunday and monday.

Eric- Dom and I are running on friday im sure.. We just hope that the turn-out is a little better than last week. We showed up and there were 2 other people there!! Hopefully everyone will run this weekend because rumor has it we might not have the track that much longer.

I heard that they are running oval on friday nights now at hobbytown. (Two heats and a main.) Is anyone up for running there..or does everyone want to run in longmont??

I also heard the hours being.. start time 6:00 or 7:00 depending on driver count...
