I'm not making the swt in Vegas in Jan.. Pretty much planning on going to Florida if all things work out,but we will be there for the Kimbrough if Jay decides to have another one in '04..

Hey Kat, I was just marking my spot on Phil's left reat rim..the oramge looked good against the yellow wheel..LOL!! What a ball we had this weekend, and as I recall someone was looking a little harder than usual at his rear bumper (maybe soon I'll find a way to get there)

Learned an awful lot about the carpet and the '03 Maverick, getting to be fun out there! Learned there is a difference between being on the carpet or in it!

Hey Jake..Raced last night at Franksssss outdoor asphalt. A little warmer out there and the old Man's hands were not shaking!! LOL. Did good with the '03. TQ and finished second. Not bad for an old car...can't wait to put some of that "TinMan" oil on the '04!

Yes Tinman - you did great... and that was out of 16 Pro Stock guys, including some fast guys! You the man!

Minnreg will be putting on a race for us. Same size,carpet, and "ice" as the Snowbirds. Trying to convince Jake to fly in (he doesn't have anything else to do...LOL).

Ovalist: Yep, the new pod is pretty cool. Easy to get the motor in and out (compared to an L3 pod), three different wheel base adjustments on the pod, for gearing and handling changes, standard and offset mounting holes, etc ...

Mike: Yes, two different chassis this time! The '04 Maverick, and '04 Maverick OPC (one piece chassis). Plus the new pod!

Well, Sat nite at Franks I had the field covered in the main, got crashed about 4 laps from the end and couldn't finish the race..and had you know who a lap down. Today was good at GT, Boylan and Zubak on the front row and I was on the second, set the car up the wrong way for the main and pushed like a pig (poop happens). Atleast when we make mistakes we learn from them. Anyway always next week to work the kinks out. And enough time to build the '04.

Too cold[race cancelled} for the first runs on the 04's..The weather even on the west coast this time of year still isn't great for outdoors..
But will be up tuesday on carpet for the first shake down runs on the 04's. Will be testing both the OPC and slider cars.

We have an extemmly fast set-up right now on carpet for the 03' version,i'll put the same stuff in the 04 and let you guy's know weds.

First runs on the 04 on in the books.. We put the same set-up from last saturday from the 03 car into the 04 and went two seconds faster out of the box.
This track runline is very close to the Snowbirds runline the only difference is the radius is a tad larger on our track here.
Saturday night 61 4 flat Tuesday night 62 4:03

Testing on the OPC we'll do Saturday,just wasn't enough time on a weekday short program..
