Silva Spring set includes one pair of Black, Silver, Copper and gold. Weights are 8.5, 10, 11.5, 13 lbs. They have the same "coating" as the center springs do, so you'll know what the spring is a year from now. They sell fpr $12.99 a set of 4. I used the silvers at the 'Birds.

Hey guys how is everything. It's been awhile since I posted last. I loose track too easily. Anywho, I just had another almost great night with my 03 maverick at a local club race. Decided to try out a different class down in Plymouth, they call Late Models. It's 4 cell stock with a dirt late model body style. It's pretty cool. Made the B-Main after some not so good qualifiers. Won the B and thought I had the bump into the A.......until I came up 0.02oz short on wait and was DQ'ed. Oh well, that's racin'. I still had a great time, the car was awesome on the track and fast enough to contend for the lead. Just thought I'd share another positive maverick experience.

On another note, Jake, when would be a good time to get ahold of you on the phone? I got something I'd like to talk to you about but wanna catch you when you have the time. Let me know and I'll give you a call. Thanks.

Hmm? I was just in the library thumbing through the newest Xtreme r/c mag and just before the end of the reading epidode I noticed a touring car with a rather familiar paintjob in the readers rides section. Well a little more reading proved that it was none other than our own AC, Seems AC can also wheel a touring car. He may deny it but there is now photographic evidence.

Arrrrrrrrrr! It drives me nuts:eek: it does

Another one for ya, A pirate walks in to a bar with a parrot on his shoulder, The barkeep asks, Hey! Where'd you get that? The parrot say's "bwock the carrribean, They have hunderds of'em down there, bwock"

As far as your multiple personalities go... Sometimes the only way to have an intellegent conversation it to talk to yourself.

Shawn: Glad to see you're doing well! Give a call anytime, lately there doesn't seem to be a non busy time, but give me a ring and we'll talk :)

Mr. Butts: Yes, AC does drive nitro road course, and usually does rather will at it.

Ok, you guys have heard that there will be a 2nd movie fro Pirates of the Caribbean, right? It looks really good, but there's a little more violence, so it's rated Arrrrrrrrrr!! LOL

Rich: Miss us yet?

AC: Yeah, intelligent conversations with yourself ... Like at the 'Birds ... "What did you say?" ... "Oh, I thought you said something" (voices inside your mind!)

Well, I was scanning the results from the Novak race, and it looks like it was a great event! Hat's off to Sonny and the track crew! After looking at the main results and the lap counts, I'd say most of the Maverick Crew had one thing in common, bad luck? When you guys get settled, please let us know how things went.

Ahoy matey! That one caught me off me guard. :D

Looks as if the A at the brushless race was a mess. Laps were way down and atleast one car didn't finish. That can be the downfall of really equal motors. All the cars want to occupy the same space at the same time and no one has the ponies to pull away from the pack. Still looks fun to me. I'll be trying the 4300 class soon myself.

No, I don't think it was a horsepower thing, it was a short track thing. 135 foot runline with 8 cars trying to win.

Jake,
Just wanted to say thanks again for the set up help for the race. The car was great all weekend, every adjustment I made was in the right direction.
My biggest problem all weekend was the driver, I just need more track time.
I can honestly say this is the BEST oval car I have ever had.

That Novak race was simply awsome, I think Mark Steiner had the best Maverick all weekend. I still think he had a good shot to get in the A.

Hi all,
I ran my 05 maverick slider for the first time at Marshalls cabin fever race in PA on saturday. I only had two practice runs with the car . It was very easy to drive and cornerd better than my previous two rides (pro 3 and cw) . I ran in the 19t class and qualified 7th. I didnt run the main. I can see this car is going to get much better with some practice.

Jake, the Maverick did very well this past weekend at the Novak race. Didn't qualify as high I would have liked to ( 2nd in the D) but that was not the cars fault. I just kept blowing the corners. I had problems when I tried to drive from 8ft high drivers stand. The setup I had felt great.

It was great meeting some fellow Maverick drivers. They are truley a great bunch of guys. Mark S. car looked awesome and he did a great job wheeling his car. He should have been in the A.

byteme1,

You need to go to www.jphracing.com and you'll find the springs there. The swift site is mainly an informational site for his product line. Or you can just always call Jake personally and order them. The number is on the website.

I was thinking about picking up one of the new Thermoelectric Motor Coolers to use on my 05' HE but wanted to know if anyone's used them on the 05' maverick yet. I want to make sure I can run the cooler through the bottom podd plate without having to completely remove the motor from the podd. Thanks in advance!

I used a MuchMore Cooler on mine this past weekend at the Novak race. The part that attaches to the motor has some small fins on it and I had to shave just a little bit off them so it would clear without any problems. It seemed to work ok. The lowest temp I could get was 48 degrees. Talked with a few others and they were getting down to 39 - 40 degrees. I put mine on a little over an hour before hand and that was the best temp I could get. But it does fit through the bottom pod plate w/o any problems other than the small fins.

Curt: "I can honestly say this is the BEST oval car I have ever had." Thanks for the feedback! Sonny does put on a good show, glad to hear all the Maverick guys enjoyed the event.

Dale: Keep us posted on your progress with the new ride. Remember, you can post setup questions here, or send me an e-mail anytime!

Byteme1: www.jphracing.com (http://www.jphracing.com/) that's the place. We've get the springs in stock.

Ray: Glad to hear you enjoyed the race as well. We're all very lucky that so many cool guys have chosen to run Mavericks, the group is awesome. Hey, what's wrong with an 8 ft tall stand? One of the track we run at has one that's 12feet at least!

I had great luck with the Much More unit at the Snowbirds, and I'm looking forward to running it the rest of the season. I have to do some checking though, because I hear that all the units (no matter who makes them) cooling ability varies with outside temperature and humidity.

The Much More unit will fit through the bottom of the Maverick Pod, but depending on gearing you may have to loosen the motor and slide it forward a little but.

I was going to say something about the drivers stand deal as well. it takes a little getting used to but I actually learned to like the 12 foot drivers stand. it makes your car look like its going slower than it actually is and that helped my reaction time and made it easier to judge my turn in.

It looks like the Maverick crew had a good time last weekend, we have a great group of drivers that work together to get faster. Thats hard to beat!!

Hey Mark, good run with your car last weekend. Danny did out qualify me, but I beat him in the main. I actually hit that wall on purpose so that I wouldn't win and make Danny feel bad, even though I felt bad about losing the $186 I would have collected. That just shows what my luck is like at that track.

Ok, I'm losing it (AC and DW already know this and I'm sure would agree) ... There's too many Mark, MK, M, etc ... Did I screw up on the pics? And if so, who should really get the credit??

Tightline: Not this year. I'd really like to get out there, but it's too soon after the Snowbirds.

AC: I read that Anna Nicole is heading to the Supreme Court ... You never know, she may get her millions soon, I think you should start corresponding with her now, just in case!

Pepe: No need for a sister, there's enough Anna Nicole to go around! :)

James: Any gal that will let you spend some money on r/c cars is a keeper!

Perhaps a year ago Anna Nicole had enough to go around but now after she got hopped up on diet pills she has shrunken a bit. I dont know if I would want to meet her sister...lol It may be worth looking into, I dont know how many million she is after and if she is anything like she is portrayed on TV I think she would be easy trick into allowing me to go racing out of state on a weekly basis:)lol

Mark: Fixed the site, it's now your car on the site. :)

How was the money offered up at the Novak race? I heard there were a few ways to earn some $$?

CBear: We're always thinking and trying something new. I was very happy with the carpet performance for the 1/12 prototype, now it's asphalt testing time (when mother nature lets us!).

Tightline: Not sure where Anna Nicole will be heading after her day in court ... I guess it depends on if the give her the money or leave her broke! She's too much woman for me, and a little too crazy ... I think AC and DW could handle her though, maybe a little tag team action! :)

James: There's setups for the '04 on the Swift site and more at www.jphracing.com (http://www.jphracing.com)

Marauder: I thought the weather was always nice in your area? Good luck at the track today, hope you get in some fast laps!

Has anyone tried the newer Novak brushless motors? Like the 5.5 and 4.5R motors? I know most places limit them, but I don;t know if some places are unlimited?
