Yea Mike we get to race caps pretty much year round here,it was 55 last sat but raining and looks to be the same again this sat without the rain,I'm already in the works for putting back my OPC,I guess I will just go with red this time that way I can order most of the aluminum from HD,already anodized.

Hey Jake, long time - no talk! After probly eight months and a new house later, i'm gonna blow the dust off my car and go race the '05 at the snowbirds warmup race at World of Hobbies this weekend. I actually did go to race once this September when carpet season first started, but I went with my new dsm radio I got from ya and got the dreaded "DSM stuck wide open" radio hit in practice with a 7 single motor, and next thing I was doing is picking the pieces up off the track. Believe it or not, the only graphite that didn't survive was the lower pod plate! ( which I need to be ordering, but i'll bum Matt's for this weekend! lol ) As for the rest of the car, well I don't have enough time to put the list on here. Anyways, just wanted to say hey, and hopefully i'll get back to doin some more rc racin this winter!

Hey Todd, sorry I didn't get to meet you. I was thrashin on my car real hard all day. I was 3 laps off TQ and qualified 6th in stock. Not used to running that bad and had a lot of work to do. Maybe I'll catch up with you again sometime.

Well the mavericks were smokin' in Nor cal. DW had a ripping car in the main event but the luck was not on his side as he got beat up a little bit in the mod main. My car was fast in spec. It qualified second and finished the same. Just needed a little bit more speed at the end of the day, the good thing is the car got faster with every change I made

No problem man, I was pretty busy also. I looked around a few times to look for you car numbers cause I didn't know your real name, and didn't see anything. I spent my 2 practices blowin the cobwebs out, then it was a little tight so I freed it up for the 1st qualifier. I freed it up alright! LOL Couldn't even drive the thing!! Went a little too far. ( Or ALOT too far! ). Then I made some adjustments and did a 62. Still 3 laps off as you well know. So I came back and tweaked on it. Then I got a phone call from my wife because a pipe froze and busted at my new house :cry: So that ended my day, I packed it up and headed home to check out the damage. So needless to say, my debut for the year was a little rough!!! Oh well, the Snowbirds warmup is comin up in January, so maybe I will have a better day then. You gonna be able to make it up then? How did you like World of Hobbies?

you wont be disapointed either way. they will both work well.. the slider actually has less flex then the solid chassis.. guys are fast on both of them.. only downfall to the solid is no battery tray adjustment.. but the way i see it is it is one less thing to worry about.. helps concentrate on more importANT AREAS.
