j21moss 04-07-2005, 01:54 PM well then we'll just see about that this summer.. I'll just have to get Mr. Fox out to the ole velodrome and turn some laps... no not yet but I promise I will let you know... Tommygun43 04-08-2005, 04:16 PM Can you adjust the width of the front end on the 05 Maverick? Can you move just one side? -Tom JPH Racing 04-08-2005, 05:41 PM Tom: The width is fixed on the '05. But, if you use wolfe axles you can have width adjustment (wider). The front end slides front to back for wheelbase adjustments. Jake RcOvalGuy 04-08-2005, 11:35 PM Hey Brad, I'm going to try and see if I can make it down there. I got directions to get there and it looks to be fairly easy. It's the 3 hour drive give or take that is starting to shy me away. But, (and this is not meant as kissing up) I'd really like the oppurtunity to race with and try and learn a few things from one of the best out there. Shawn David Butts 04-09-2005, 11:45 AM Yikes! Today is the day my 05 Maverick H.E.(tm) gets it's first shakedown runs. Strickland Park in Ormond Beach Fl. is the not so top secret testing ground. Stay tuned race fans. My goals for today are. 1. Complete at least one lap. 2. Have fun while doing it. 3. Complete more laps in the alotted time than I have before with prior cars. 4. Have fun while doing that. 5. Outrun at least one person while having all the aforementioned fun. 6. Make a really clean outside pass on someone fast while proclaiming. "Step aside man comin through" that was used up at Da'birds I think. 7. Eat at Cracker barrel with a bunch of racing friends before heading home. 1 through 6 are just wishes. 7 will happen.:D JPH Racing 04-09-2005, 01:05 PM Shawn: Brad's a tuner. It would be worth the travel time to go race with him. It's on my "To Do" list! Mr. Butts: That's what I like to see, a racer with goals. Clearly defined, even in print, ready to be checked off one at a time! I wish you lots of luck, especially with #6 .... That's a cool one! Passing on the outside is great, but having enough concentration left over to speaking those words would be AWESOME. LOL Let us know how it goes. katf1sh 04-09-2005, 10:55 PM funny thing happened today at strickland r/c park. 1)david butts built his 05 car and brought it with him,he turned a few of the fastest laps all day and made the A main with ease! 2) i made another A main on asphault! worked my way up from 9th to 4th! 3)poor phil owen couldn't catch a break all day! 4)this car loves the silva copper spring! well off to TQ tommorow to get the track dialed in. wooooooooooooooooooooo cneyedog 04-09-2005, 11:45 PM Jake, not only did Butts (tm) make the 19T main with ease, he also WON the 4 cell stock A-main, then turned around and ran top 5 in 19T ...... he was tearin it up ....... it was good to see, he needed a good night ! ...... nice goin  I wound up 6th or something after qualifying 4th ...... some kid named Boylan won ...... ever hear of him, he's pretty good  Katfish had a fast ride too, great turnout and some good racing ......fun fun fun. BTW, Ronnie managed to "break" in maryann in 1/12th scale ...... car went one way, the bumper the other, he bounced back in the main had a 2 lap lead ...... but the wrecks happened right in front of him again and again .....not sure where he wound up, but he got robbed :freak: David Butts 04-10-2005, 09:58 AM Wow! That in a word describes my first outing with the new car. After an inauspicious start of the day due to open practice resulting in traffic driving/accident avoidance practice at best since at any given time there were stock cars, 19t cars, stock trucks, legends and even touring oval cars on the track at the same time and at one time I counted 14 cars on the track. Needless to say the real test was going to be the first qualifier. The next sound you hear will be the start of your race, Beeeep, Wow!(theres that word again)It took me exactly half a lap to discover that the 05 is clearly the best chassis I have ever owned period. It easily turns in harder than any car I've ever driven including Dominators with 7 cells on a killer clay track. The car actually feels as if it accelerates when the steering wheel is turned. That caught me off guard a couple of times when following other cars into a turn, They would slow slightly when turning in and mine didnt. Oops, Sorry for those little driving indescretions guys. Spur gear check anyone? All was well until lap 21 when the horror of horrors to anyone with a brand new car happened. I touched(pounded/savaged/brutalized)a slower car, Sorry Eddy, and got turned sideways on the front straight and took a full throttle t-bone in the drivers door(do race cars have doors?)from fellow Maverick driver Phil Owen. The result was a turnmarshall had to pick up parts that had fallen out of my car, One being the bottom of the reciever case that up untill about 4 seconds before had been firmly attached to the batt tray with a full piece of swerve-o tape. Not good. After sitting out the remainder of that race and then turnmarshalling like any racer should do I finally got to take a look at the devastation. Wow!(yep, again) The impact had sheared the reciever case off breaking the crystal, Cut the antenna wire at the case exit, Dismantled a battery pack which inturn had been pushed into the inboard mounted speed control separating it's case and cutting the leads and also surgically removed the three wire anchors keeping all my radio wires neatly attached and out of the way on the front of the batt tray, Or so I thought. My new car was now a big pile of smoking stinking poo poo and I was done for the day/night. But wait there's more! I was also running stock with my now secondary primary car the 04 OPC. We'll get to that in a second. After the realization had set in that my 19t car was sitting with more damage than I had ever incurred in my 26 year history with r/c cars and I was running two classes for the first time in a very long while I decided to see if that phoenix could once again rise from the ashes so "May the thrashing begin" And it did in earnest. First I had to make sure that the reciever still worked so the cut antenna was reparied, since it was cut right at the case I only lost about a 1/2 inch of wire so that would be no problem. Soldering it with a 1/4 inch wide tip 40 watt iron is tricky but I've done it before., Task done. The cut speed control lead was patched next and then the whole thing was powered up. Wow!(tired of this yet) It worked. Heh heh heh heh. Thrash thrash thrash. Uh oh, I've already discharged my batteries. Charge charge charge charge. Thrash thrash thrash, Charge charge charge, Ah done. Ok. Amongst all this other thrashing I had also cleaned up my ancient stock motor that was in the other car. Did I mention it hasnt had a new set of brushes in over a year? Yikes! Now it's time for the 2nd round and I made it, With both cars, Well, The stock car made it but the 19t car is still charging and I now have in it an older than dirt low number 20 amp B@T blister pack won in a raffle. The 2nd stock qualifier was good enough to put me in the A so I was really happy at this point and since by luck of the draw I'm running back to back so it's drop the stock car off at the impound and almost trot back to the pit for that big pile of stinking smoking poo poo of a mess I have there and lo and behold just as I reach for it the charger shuts off. Peaked and ready just in time. Perfect timing you say? Heh heh heh. I set the car down to set the trim, Not needed:confused:. Drive it around to check in:confused: No problem, At the tone I grab a little throttle to get the car going and it does so I banzai it and it Tora tora tora's it to the best lap matching tune of a 5.0 and securely puts me into the "A". This car rocks! Oh yeah? Stock "A"? I won the race. 19t "A" I lead the race and finished third. Was I happy? I'm still grinning. Wow! Wow! Wow! Do I get commision? I think there will be an order or two coming your way soon Jake. You think I type alot? I talk more. Even on the drivers stand. I didnt use the "Step aside, Man coming through" line lastnight but it would have worked. The car is that good. If either of those two cars can make an old washed up has been of a racer such as myself look that good just imagine what they can do for someone who is on the top of their game right now. Oh thats scary!Wow! davepull 04-10-2005, 11:32 AM Congrats To Mr. Butts on his stock win with the 04 OPC and his very strong showing in 19T with the new 05. also congrats to Jake this car is awesome. I must say it is among the top Oval cars out there. jhseckinger 04-10-2005, 02:38 PM Congrat to the Buttman..... :p you must have gotten tired typing that one ...I sure got tired reading it...glad you had a great first outing with the 05 ..i have not had such luck with the car yet ...but my time is comming  :freak: katf1sh 04-10-2005, 05:44 PM there is know copper spring, lol. well see how butt head does on a short track! muhahahahahaahha RcOvalGuy 04-11-2005, 12:23 AM Well, 330 miles in a car(round trip) = $25.00 in gas Lunch at McD's = 6.49 Entry Fee = 15.00 Dinner = 5.something Hip Huggers on the way home = Well we'll leave that part out.... The experience and Knowledge gained by pitting next to Brad and getting schooled by everyone else down there = PRICELESS! (but I bet you guess that by now.) All I can say is I was left in the dust all day. I figured being a bigger track than what I'm used to, that 4.5 lap times aren't all that bad for first practice run. Until I realized that everyone else must be hitting 3.7's or so to be getting the normal 63 laps. I just never seemed to have enough motor to catch up to anyone. I'm sure I probably could've found a little more speed in the corner with more time, but the straights was where I was being killed. Best for me was 55 laps, in the third qualy. Was sixth out of sixth started in the main with 53 laps. Shoulda been more, but I kept running wide and outta the groove to let the fast guys through. The car handled good though, Thought I'd have major traction problems running Aqua Rears and seeing that Brad had Pinks on his, but the car never broke loose beyond control. I did get to learn a little bit though. Which is mainly what I came for. Didn't ask near as much as I wanted to, because I didn't want to scare Brad aware for life on the first day I met him, by bombarding him with questions. I'll have to try and make it down there again sometime next season whenever I get a chance. Until then, it's time to get ready for the velodrome season and make a couple trips to Indy. Shawn BHayes 04-11-2005, 07:52 AM Shawn, It was good to see you make the trip to New Castle. It is fast crowd that races there, so you should not feel bad at all about how you ran. I have seen new guys come in, and not run nearly as well as you did. If you have any questions, just post them here or email me, and I'll be glad to answer them for you. And maybe I'll see you out at the velodrome this summer. As for my night of racing, I finished 3rd. My car was just a little too tight all night to challenge the top two guys. Next stop is the ROAR Carpet Oval Nats April 21-24. j21moss 04-11-2005, 09:22 AM Shawn. Hey it was also nice to meet ya last Saturday.. Yep it's a fast track.. but for the 1st time out you did great  just need more track time.. them boys were fast and I know how it feels to run that outside line..seems like all the time..LOL.. I did go to velodrome yesterday and watch them test and boy was I glad I didn't run.. They had the retaining walls down and Shawn Clausen wrapped his ADX Proto around the steel post and completely destroyed his car.. The lexan body was wrapped around the post by itself and the rest of the wreckage was found in turns 3 and 4..inside and outside the track..still have not found the 19T endbell or the receiver casing yet.. been at that track since 1989 and that is there worst carnage I have ever seen..hmmmm sounds like he needs a new 05... you think??? Brad is a very good driver... he knows his stuff.. very rarely does he have problems...next season he will be the man to chase down...I promise you.. well enough talk here.. just wanted to say hey!!!! anyway Brad good luck at the Nats!!!!! Go get'em!!!! See ya at the Velo!!! The DR!! JPH Racing 04-11-2005, 05:58 PM Katfish: Did I read this correctly? Did Mr. Butts finished a spot ahead of you? That's awesome, don't you think?? Hard to tell from your 2nd posts, whether you really meant to say congratulations?? lol Rich: Sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield .... Sounds like Maryann got the worst of it. The boys at the shop are red labeling out some parts to Ronnie as I type. Maryann will race again! Tell Ronnie to treat her like a lady, no rough housing! :) Mr. Butts: I had now idea you were a novelist. For the record, I've read your post 3 times and it got better each time. Sounds like a case of the "six million dollar man" (for those of you old enough to remember the series) with your 19 turn car. (come to think about it, I'm surprised they haven't made a movie from that show ...) Anyway, great work not giving up! And nice finishes to boot! Congrats! Davepull: Thank you! James: Stick with it! Check out the articles on the website and tune, tune, tune. Post questions if you got 'em! Shawn: Glad to hear you made the trip. Hanging out with the "fast guys" is great, and the speed will rub off on you, guaranteed. We finally got to race some this weekend. A nice day of asphalt oval racing, great weather, great competition, a really nice day of racing. I got lucky and won both the 1/10 and 1/12 19 Turns classes, after some great racing in the Mains. katf1sh 04-11-2005, 06:06 PM lol i was very happy to see dave run well. good thing for good people. i do not have to win to have fun. running good all day is all i ask for. focar race #1 is saturday all the big dogs will be there to get it on! i can't wait to see who comes out of bristol on top! 3.9 second laps in 19 turn should keep everyone on there toes! jake you will be able to retire in about a years time. ronny is gonna go through parts alot! lol travymoto1 04-11-2005, 06:18 PM Ronnie or should I say Maryann will have Mini Mav company this Sat at the FOCAR race...I am going to debut mine. I wonder if she'll earn a nick name as well..LOL  katf1sh 04-11-2005, 10:55 PM cool deal bro! maybe skipper or gilligan? travymoto1 04-11-2005, 11:04 PM cool deal bro! maybe skipper or gilligan? Man I thought about that after I typed it...and I may as well have pulled my shirt over my head and said hit me. :D 1/12th scale should be a blast at TQ !!! JPH Racing 04-11-2005, 11:20 PM Ginger is the original .... Ronnie tried to talk me out of here, but after she finished 4th at the 'Birds ... I knew she was a keeper! So, Ronnie got Maryann. He hasn't been all that kind to her, from what I hear. But, I know in true Mini Mav form, she's trying to be a good girl for him ... Now Travymoto will debut his Mini Mav .... Hmmm, the only girl left on the island is Misses Howl .... Rich, yes ... But, not much of a looker. I promise not to tease you if yours turns out to be your "Little Buddy" instead ... How it all got to be Gilligan's Island, I've got no idea .... cneyedog 04-12-2005, 12:21 PM Jake, Ronnie let me give the mini mav a whirl the other day in practice, that little car handles great.. he has no excuses ! ;) katf1sh 04-12-2005, 04:55 PM yes he does rich! he is ronny! excuse enough for anyone! a 3 hour tour........... jhseckinger 04-13-2005, 08:50 PM Jake, How do ya know how much tweek to put in the car. I have scales but dont know how much needs to be where.....thanks James katf1sh 04-13-2005, 10:48 PM james your left rear tire is the one that does most of the work. that is the tire that you will have the most weight on,"most" of the time. there are ocasions where a track carpet or otherwise will have mad bite.(snowbirds) sometimes having both rear tires with the same weight is fast! most of the time you need to keep more weight on the LR tire something like 12.4 ounces up to say 13.8 ounces..... you only add weight to get the car to exit the corner..a loose car will pull down towards the pipe or infield. i know i'm not explaining this very technical like..but i think you get the idea? no two cars are alike and i have found the 05 realy likes about 4 ounces of wedge..but thats just me......i try and run firm rear tires until i have to add more wedge than desired. again only add wedge as you need it..i find during the day i will either add wedge or take some out..it is a fine line though...you can go from pushy to loose in a hurry. the 05 seems to provide a nice balance between a planted rear and having it steer. hope this helps bill JPH Racing 04-14-2005, 12:26 AM James: Good question! Everyone handles tweak a little differently, so I'll give you a few examples here .... (watch out, I'm in the mood to type!) 1) Set the tweak on the scales to a certain number, like a 4 oz split, or 12.5 on the left tire (as an example). Always keep this the same and fine tune with the suspension to get the car handling properly. After making a spring change, you would scale the car right back to the same number on the left rear. 10.5 to 13.5 oz is standard, and based on your preference. 2) Never use scales. Adjust the tweak as needed to fine tune your suspension choices. Say the car is just a tad loose coming off the turn, just add a little tweak to hook it up. Not using scales can keep you open minded, trying more setups and different tweak settings. 3) Do a combo of both. Use the scales as a starting point at the track. Say, your car was dialed the last time you were there, with 11 oz on the left rear. That's were you would start this time. But, you wouldn't keep a set amount, you would use tweak as a tuning aid. At the end of the race day, you would note your tweak again for reference. Personally, I don't use scales all that often. It's just something that I haven't worked into my program. And, to be honest I bring so much stuff to our local races, It's one less thing to pack. BUT, scales are a great tool to use! And, something I should really use more often. Try this some time: During practice, when the car is handling consistently, have another racer tweak the car for you. Drive 5 laps, and then have him take out some tweak (1/2 turn out of the right rear at a time). 5 more laps, if it's not loose coming off, take out some more. Do this until the car is too loose coming off the turn. Then, have him slowly add tweak into the car (1/4 turn in on the right rear), until it drives off the turn just the way you like it. Now, scale the car and see where it's at. The more times you can do this at different tracks, the more you'll find what the magic # is for you. This will be based on how you like the car to feel. Keep good notes! I hope all this makes some sense. Please ask more questions anytime! Jake BHayes 04-14-2005, 07:49 AM Jake & Katfish have given some good advice. I'll throw in one other thing that I have noticed with the '05. I run the t-plate offset, and the receiver on the front of the battery tray, so that produces a lot of LF weight. On flat carpet, I have been running between 12.5 and 13 oz on the LR. But I also keep an eye on the LF weight also. Make sure that you always have more on the LR than the LF. If you get down between 11 to 12 oz on the LR, you can get about the same on the LF. When the car is that heavy on the LF, it has always been too loose for me. I scale my car, and re-set the LR weight before every run. You have to remember that tire wear affects your tweak. It does not take much RF tire wear to take reduce your LR weight by 0.5 oz. And like Jake said, I take tweak out until it gets loose, and then put a little back in. I usually adjust in 0.2 oz increments on the LR. Brad JPH Racing 04-14-2005, 12:05 PM One mistake that's easy for a racer to make is dialing in a "comfortable car." Meaning, one that's really easy to drive. The car should be easy to drive and have a consistent feel to it, but it should not be overly planted or too stuck to the track. This is the mistake we all make from time to time. Too planted = too comfortable = slower than it could be. The car should be free in the turn, without being aggressively loose. I know most of you have felt it, when the car seems to speed up in the turns? You're driving, and think to yourself "WOW, this thing is dialed!" Other racers will often come up after the race and tell you how fast it was in the turns. This is what you should be striving to tune for every time you hit the track. Yes, I know, easier said than done! But, until you feel what it's like, sometimes you're not quite sure what you're trying to achieve. Keep tuning until you get it. If you find it once, you'll find it again. And, it will become easier each time. Since I'm in the mood to type for the 2nd day, here's something else I've been noticing on a local level ... Drivers who aren't used to passing other cars, are now in the position of being the faster, or fastest, car on the track! The '05 and Mini Mav have really upped their game and that's awesome. But, keep in mind drivers, it takes some practice to deal with the closing speeds between two cars. It's all too easy to focus on your car, and not pay enough attention to traffic until it's too late. A lot of times straight speeds are the same, but come time to turn in to the corner and WOW, you make up 5+ feet on the guy in a blink of the eye. This can catch you off guard and cause you to run right up the back of him ... Slower cars/drivers never appreciate this. Jake jeepnyy 04-14-2005, 03:54 PM Is the 05 H.E OPC ready for high-bank oval season yet ? katf1sh 04-14-2005, 05:45 PM i know this is off base but... i know davids wife had surgery today..let's all keep dave and his family close to our hearts today. dave is one of those guys you just cannever get mad at. i wish dave and his family the very best. i hope he has nothing but good news to report. william sell davepull 04-14-2005, 05:50 PM hey Fish the sugrery didn't happen it is going to be preformed tomarrow morning. so we'll know more in the afternoon. Kathy goes under the knife for the fourth time in six weeks(I honestly have lost track)tomorrow morning at 07:30. I'll be at the hospital by 0500. If you see me saturday morning all went well. travymoto1 04-14-2005, 08:02 PM "Little Buddy" is in some danger of not making it's debut at FOCAR #1. It's Q2 didn't arrive from Tower today  I guese I could always savage the... dare I say it...offroad car for an ESC. Butts, I hope the little lady's sugery goes well and you get to FOCAR....win win situation. jhseckinger 04-14-2005, 09:43 PM Katf1sh, Jake and Brad ,,Thanks for all the information ....Ill try to get the 05 hooked up this weekend ....just got to convince my wife that racing is more important than a 16th wedding anniversary.. katf1sh 04-14-2005, 11:27 PM i will see you saturday than! JPH Racing 04-15-2005, 01:27 AM Jeep: Any day now! The cutter should be finishing up this next week. Mr. Butts: Here's wishing Mrs. Butts(tm) a speedy recovery! Travy: Come on, be a savage. You need to give that Mini a maiden voyage this weekend! James: Hey, keep the sponsor happy. Katfish: Best of luck this weekend!!!! Show them how it's done. BHayes 04-15-2005, 08:05 AM Are there going to be any other Maverick pilots at the Carpet Oval Nats next week? I'll be there, be sure to look me up if you can make it! Mr Butts, hope all goes well with your wife's surgery. JDS 04-15-2005, 02:02 PM Jake, that was some great tips. I'm new to the Oval and haven't even put my Maverick 05 on the track yet. I hope you get more in the mood to type more often. Thanks for the great tips everyone, I've been following the thread silently for a few months now. Bob Wright 04-15-2005, 11:30 PM Can anybody tell me the longest and shortest wheelbase measurments and the spacing of the front end mounting holes for the '05 slider chassis? Thanks. burbs 04-16-2005, 02:16 AM Bob dont worry it should be good.. you need to get a car, that doesnt allow shorter then 10 inch wheel base...LOL your HD cars are pretty short.. ive been thinkin of gettin an 05 for the triclone paved season.. car loks good... anyone been running it on caps??? Bob Wright 04-16-2005, 06:31 AM Bob dont worry it should be good.. you need to get a car, that doesnt allow shorter then 10 inch wheel base...LOL your HD cars are pretty short.. They've all been at 10 1/4" all winter. Another ? about the '05 car. With the t-plate in the offset position on the chassis is it possible to line up the outside edge of the LR tire with the outside edge of the LF tire without cutting the LR tire narrower? JPH Racing 04-16-2005, 01:50 PM Brad: Looks like you may be the lone Maverick Pilot at the Nats? I doubt it, I'm sure others will be there, even if they don't post up. Have you heard from Greg Kraios? JDS: There's a lot to learn on this thread. Please post up questions when you have them, the different opinions always make for good reading. Your first outing with the '05 is coming soon! Bob: About 10 5/8's, down to just under 10". Front end spacing is 3.05, right front out the extra distance. Burbs: How have you been? I think an '05 Maverick in your car collection would be a good thing! The OPC version should be here soon. Bob: The pod gets run in the offset position, when running the t-plate offset. So, it's hard to get the LF and LR equal without shaving off some of the pod, and some of the tire. Do you usually run a centered pod, or offset? Bob Wright 04-16-2005, 08:39 PM I run offset everywhere.I like the extra weight on the LR to drive the car off the corner.I run Hyperdrives now,on flat carpet I move as much weight to the left as possible and still be able to line up the LR and LF. I really like the design of the '05 car and Brad Hayes has a reputation for designing really fast cars all the way back to the Parma Phaze 1 which I was told he had a hand in. With Hyperdrive working on their new car I'm trying to do as much research as possible before deciding which chassis to run.The design of the '05 chassis looks like it would be really good for cap tire racing but we run indoors 8 months out of the year so I'm looking for something I believe will be versitile enough to do both. JPHRacer 04-17-2005, 02:50 PM Bob: we have not run the car on caps out here yet, but I have raced quite a bit on carpet with the car and will say that its wihtout a doubt the best carpet car that I have ever had. It actually has done everything that we have tossed at it with ease. Its proven itself on carpet here in cali, and with the outdoor season just starting I know its will prove itself as being one of the best cars outdoor as well. The best thing for me about the car is how easy and nutrual it is out of the box. Its a very easy car to tune to go fast, its also more difficult to make it out of tune. I have been known in the past to be able to tune cars out of contention just as well as I can tune one in. I have yet to be able to tune this car slow yet. : ) thats a good thing. I think the Pase 1 was all of brads design. Was one of my favs back in the day. Butts: Hope all is well with the wife. Good luck to all the other maverick pilots out there racin this weekend. BHayes 04-17-2005, 02:51 PM Bob, I can tell you that the '05 is awesome indoors on carpet. I have not had a chance to run it on caps yet. But there is no reason it won't be good there too. I run the t-plate offset on my car, and the LR is about 1/8" outside of the LF. You should be able to get the LR pretty close to the LF without cutting too much of anything. But my car has been working well as is, so I have not tried bringing the LR in any more. If you have any other questions, just let us know. Brad David Butts 04-17-2005, 04:41 PM Butts: Hope all is well with the wife. Dave and Brad. Kathy is doing ok. Sore but ok and she may be released tommorow. Now on to the 05. I ran it at the FOCARS series opener in Longwood Fl. yesterday on a tight asphalt oval and it worked good. I had never been to this particular track before so I have no benchmark but I did make the "A" in 19t and by just avoiding most of the many wrecks I ended up fourth. I'll take that anyday with the crowd I was running with. Next month the series comes to town and we get to run on the big track, Ooh aah. Now we're talking speed. Due to the weather and other races I have'nt been able to run the new car at my home track yet. I did hear that Phil Owen obliterated his personal best ever at Hobby World yesterday/lastnight with the 05. He sure doesnt type much does he? Heeeeeyyyy Phil, JPH Racing 04-18-2005, 05:48 PM Bob: I think DW and Brad answered your questions, please let us know if you have any more! There are a lot of quality choices in the oval market right now. From a racers stand point, that's a great thing! From a manufacturer stand point, it makes us work hard on our designs and customer service (and that's a good thing too!). Everyone: I haven't advertised them much, but we do have a "Banked Track Tray" for the '05. Not meaning to keep any secrets, I just hadn't gotten around to it yet. The tray is unique in the way it mounts to the chassis, it will give some extra clearance between the tray and the racing surface (but let you run the chassis low). Designed for banked tracks, but it will also work well for rough surfaces, where the bumps flex the tray. Mr. Butts: Glad to hear you wife is recovering fine. That's good news! Congrats for making the A and the 4th places finish. Good way to start of the Series! Phil is quiet, isn't he! He's much more talkative in person. I hope someone will post up on how he's been doing lately, I know he's kinda had a string of bad luck on the track ... Good to know he's "haulin' the mail" at Hobbyworld! Anymore secret parts lurking at the spacious Swift racing products manufacturing facility? The solid chassis is still on a couple guys wish list down here, Y'all git'er done, Ya hear? davepull 04-18-2005, 06:32 PM heard that Local hot shoe Ernie Bucci has picked up a 05 JPH Racing 04-18-2005, 09:05 PM Mr. Butts: Ok, ok, I was holding out on you ... I was keeping all those banked track trays to myself ... Hoping one day I'd get to run on a banked track again! I added pictures of the tray to the website. Cick the Conversion Kit Info button, then '05 Maverick H.E., then Banked Track Tray. The cutter says we should have '05 OPC chassis here later this week. I'll post pics of the ASAP! Davepull: Yep, you just might be right on that one! You'll have to ask Mr. Bucci next time you see him. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
