Also, rumor has it Kevin Osmon finished 3rd overall in the Invitational Mod Class at the Kimbrough 400! Right on KOZ!

So when can I get my Mini Mav? I love 1/12 oval and want to run a Mini Mav at the birds this year if I can get my hands on one. That thing looks real clean, I love it. :thumbsup:

Maverick Team driver Frank Peachock T.Q.'s, Wins, and breaks the track record by two laps at Saturdays Custom Works Paved Oval race in Harrisburg P.A.
In a field of fifty with arround 10 National Champions in either Roar, Arcor, or Norcca Frank proved at least to me that this car can compete with any on todays market.

Speaking of racing... What would be a good place to start for springs on a medium size flat smooth asphault track? green fronts and gold rears? the tires are 3 pinks and purple or purple fronts and pink rears.

Yep Frank's car was definately dialed in. We were all chasing his mark that is for sure.

Adam: The Mini Mav is still in the prototype stage, but getting very close to production. Still a little more tweaking to be done to finalize the design. Hopefully only a month or two down the road until it's released. I'll keep ya posted!

Bill: Thanks for the update on Frank! Sounds like he had a great race weekend! Does the track have a website? And, what class was Frank running?

Mike: Yes, for modified that's a great place to start. Put a red on the right front for more steering. Put a blue on the left rear if the car is loose coming off the turns.

Well, alrighty ladies and gentlemen! How the heck is everyone?

Sorry I've been so busy with the shop and racing, I haven't had much to say on here as of late .... Seems like everybody is just in race mode and not so much into message board mode.

Our local racing has seen oval on the upswing again this year, and it's really nice! Personally, I've been having a great summer season with my oval racing. Been running really strong in 19 Turn, and finally putting in good showings in the Mod class again.

KOZ is off to the Nats in Wisconsin. Good luck Dude!

hey guys i just bought a 03 version of your car to run 4-cell stock. i'm using a mac attack, and l3 parts to make this car. i have never seen one of your cars in indy. so i hope this car is as good as i hear on here. i will be running a 165' run line flat carpet track. i was wondering if i could get a real close set-up to start out with. i will be using bsr tires, and probably proto bodies. the hd monti is my favorite flavor. a gm v12, and monster will do the power duties. thanks for any help.

yes i was checking out the web site. i didn't know which set-up would be the closest. there are a few on there. just get me in the ball park. a guy at my track is wanting to run carpet. i bought him the car. he is a dam good driver. between he, and i driving the car it should fly. were use to dirt oval, so the looser the better.lol... leading edge, and ksg are going to be the main competition. i hope we can get the car up to speed quickly.

Paul,

Go to the '04 section, and look at "Jake's 19 Turn Carpet" set-up. Even though it's for the '04, this set-up should get you close. The only thing you may want to change is the tires. I'd ask at the track you're going to run at, and see what the fast guys are on for compounds.

After you get a race day under your belts, e-mail or post on your set-up, what the car is doing, and what you want it to do differently. Then we can make better suggestions on set-up changes.

Todd told me to tell you that I got his 2 Mavericks so you could post on your site that I run a '03 and '04 chassis - I'm from PA

What is the chassis plate thickness on the 04 OPC?It is 3mm thick. It comes out to 0.118-0.120. It is a little more rigid of a car then the Maverick just because it has a lot more material there.

The chassis works great! since i been on the 04 OPC i been running great,.it takes a little more chassis tuning time but once you get it,.ITS ON!!

Hey Jake, what's up! Just wanted to let you know i'm still around! I've been meanin to give you a holler and say hi. As Tom said, I traded him my cars for nice touring car and some cash. With Ultra gettin rid of their carpet oval program this year, I figured i'd try a little road course racin. Kinda sucks, but the next closest carpet oval track is about 2 or 3 hours away. But there is a rumor that another oval track is opening up close to Ultra soon. So if that's the case, i'm sure i'll be callin ya and orderin another car!

P.S. - The harley is pretty awesome, but it's puttin a serious dent in the r/c budget!!! LOL

Ok first off lets try this ,..move the front end over to the left 1 set of holes to offset the front end,. go 0 and 2 on castor, with 2 red springs
40wt. #2 piston silva gold center spring
2 wolfe opaqe side springs 20wt. med ball studs on sides ,.holes all the way out on the cross brace.
offset pod, finishline 2 slot steel t-bar. get the LR wheel as close to the pod as possible without cutting any rim off,.. and put 50-70 thou. shim behind the spur on the RR,.IF your running the MAV. rear end which is the best rear end on the market,. use the middle hole to start. USE a HD body,. white LR,grey RR,grey LF, and a purple or black RF,..that should get you started anything i missed LMK i'm ready for bed,.lol

I just ordered a 04 O.P.C. with the power pod. It should run good at jackson in 6 cell stock. I will give a report of how it runs.

The pod really is worth it. The Geometry changes that are done with it really do help out the car. It may seem like a lot, but your getting alot too, three aluminum pod plates, upper and lower graphite plates, a new crossbrace, and all the hardware needed to put it together.

Trust me you wont regret it in the end.
