The hytec linx 3d has the rate adjustment on the pistol handle and measures in a percentage. from a negative value up 125% on the postive side

The Ground Pounder race was a good time, it was nice to have as many cars in mod as we did! It was good racing with all the maverick guys on sunday. The mod turnout was awsome, couldnt have been better.

TN the feature that you are looking for is called Dual Rate Over-ride. The R1 has it. Get it. Plus no other radio has the Bling Bling factor of the R1.

Stock has been crazy competitive, Matt Groll is a force this year, as is EW, Robert Wise, Matt Senn, etc ...

Hmm? I know this Parrott guy and he's fast enough already, We've been racing it up pretty good for the last month or so.

Phil's wreck mentioned above? I witnessed it firsthand and picked up the smoking mess with me own two hands, It was nasty but no broken graphite.

Dan? He's on to something too and again I saw his personal best runs. And also Hank is a local around here. Nope I still have'nt put my OPC on the track but with all the other ones locally I'm just waiting to break it out for some 19t action after or maybe during the current points season but right now 4c stock is really heating up over here.

Jake: I run the maverick on the banks. On flat track I run the "other brand" :lol:

I learned what happenned at the winter blast. I knew I had a good car, but nobody gave me the right rollout and I ended up running 2.35 for stock and I found out saturday that 19t rolls out at 2.50 so I guess I was a little low with the stock rollout lol. I have a good car now and the third and last time i run stock will be at the next big race there with a much higher rollout.

I'm not going to make it to rocks, at least I dont think that I will. I have a big bike race on that saturday, and if I make it back in time I will but otherwise I will probably be going back to delta. I want to race mod on that track again. I love it. I want to make NCRC, but I have a craving that I am havin a hard time shaking, and my fix is delta.

You may want to consider a used radio,You can get a good high end radio for far less than new,decreasing your savings time.

I would leave everything on the left, especially flat track. An offset pod probably isn't necassary either in anything but mod.

I have an M8 and like it very much. Easy to use, and many people use them if you ever need help. I think just the amount of people that use them is enough to say that it is a good radio. The Futaba also looks like a nice radio but I have seen them and they look very hard to use. Parts for the M8 also seem to be much easier to ffind than any other radio should you ever drop it from the drivers stand. :eek:

TN: I hated the M8, it was a comfortable radio to use, but operating wise it washella clumsy. If you are making a change on it like trying to change your modle memory, most of the time you would be stuck there for a few seconds scrolling through the menus. There are no quick keys, you got to scroll through it all to get to somthing.

The R1 has tons of quick keys, as does the 3PK.

The M8 also was a glitch monster for me, it had the worst reciption of all of the radios that I ever used. I went from a 3PJ to a m8 and for the first time I felt like a novice b/c of all of the problem with glitches. With the R1 I have had 1, in a year and a half with it. And that was with the FM reciver, with the PCM I have had none. The M8 is also the slowest of all the radios out there. It was a little slower then my 3PJ, but when I went to the R1 it was a big difference. My mind was used to the slow reaction of the M8 and I was hitting every dot going into corners, because my timing was off. It took a day to get used to it but in the end its only for the better that it is a faster.

I have not used the 3PK, in a long term to tell you about the quirks with it, but I personally dont like the feel, but some people dont like the feel of the R1, hold them both and go with whatever one feels better.

Dont try to tune your car with the electronics, leave then and work with what matter, suspension, tires, and body. You'll get out of the rut, dont worry.

Battle of the 04 Mavericks at Hobby World from last Friday APRIL 2ND. 4-cell 19t, Dan McClinton holds off Phil Owen in the main. That was the first night Phil runs his 04 Maverick at Hobby World. The race is on video and online for free viewing at the link below. There is audio with lap times being called off. Phil was reeling Dan in until the Dan tightened it up.

You have to sign up for Sony's ImageStation in order to view the video's. These are my first few attempts at video of the races here in Jacksonville at Hobby World.

Eric come if you haven't bought your radio by the Rocks race come over and you can try my car with my radio in practice to see if you like it. You know it works by how bad I beat you at the groundpounders (j/k). Call and would be happy to help set it up. Also see Kevin Porter he bought one this year too!

JPHRACER: I have had only on glitch with the M8 at my home track. It figures that it was in the A-main at the Assoc. US Open while running 3rd. Darn radio...

I've been running Futaba pcm for eight or so years and I've never that's right never had a glitch problem.

GM: You were right about the MAXMOD. What is the name of the one you and DW recommended? Also, the NTC3 didn't sell, do you still want it without the electronics or starter box?

for the guy that ask about the radio,, i use the futuba fm radios and they do fine for me,, i think with any good quality high end radio you do fine,, if all the normal precautions are taken in while installing it,, like two layers of servo or good thick layer of trim molding 3m tape is used on graphite, keep all battery power wires away form the base of the antena, make shore the motors com is in good shape and capsitors.
but all the above want help if someone else turns a radio on , thats on the same channel.

Well, my maverick OPC finished 4th in 19t A at the 2004 Oval Nats today. Unfortunately, I wasn't driving it! he he he Good run Brett Lund!

I got spun out by the 10th place car in the same main. :mad: I was even told before the race that I was going to be stuffed! ahhh!! Good thing I remain calm when stuff like that happens. I know people who would have killed him. I was so calm that he put me almost a lap down, and I came back and got my lap back cleanly and cautiously. :eek:

Jake phil was a rocket friday he has really got the 04 working. i think i had a shock bust in the main but other than that it was a pretty good nite.

It should have been a 2nd place but the announcer asked me to move over for the leader, when I was ready to pounce on 2nd but didn't realize he was 2nd. I had him so covered, I thought he was a lapper racin me, LOL, and since the announcer spoke up, I figured there was a race for the lead he didn't want me to interfere with, but sadly, I WAS THE RACE!!! Well, me and Mikes Maverick, wanna sell it???

Mikes Maverick narrowly missed the "A" in mod, I only needed to get a couple of seconds, but oh well.

The ONLY MAVERICK in the "A" Maybe I need to look into getting one of these, who do I need to speak to???

Don't worry about sending it back Bret, There are enough parts in that zip lock bag to build another car, or at least fix Rick R's car that was in the B-main at the nats. That thing is done! :eek: Everything in that car was broken except the battery tray. The steel T-plate even snapped! Ouch! :freak:
