There will be no racing this Sunday at Tuffy's(2-9-03). Racing will resume on Feb. 16th.See you guys there........

I might keep the Legends,looks like there aren't too many old spec chassis floating around anyway......might even wind up with three cars before it's over with,....but that's the limit! Got almost enough radio gear for two now,the 4-cell stock will run at Tuffy's the next time we meet there,also the Legends. If we are going to race again on the 16th,.....we gotta make sure that the TV is on,for the Daytona 500! See ya!

Keep the Legends car! That class is starting to build up along w/4-cell stock! Actually,all three of the classes are loads of fun for all! At last,there's something for everybody of every skill level!! :thumbsup:

Well I went to the birds- Saw quite afew people. Joe Spec you would have been proud of what I did.Sat down and talked with Ernie for quite awhile about Spec Cars- We'll see if it did any good.

I have always been proud to know you,even if we don't agree sometimes,and you being in the position that you are in,with Roar and all,gives all of us a better connection to the R/C world,and what goes on in it. My reason for my constant promotion for spec racing is simple,...it is the cheapest,and most regulated class of all,and that promotes two things,.......more people can afford to race,and have a better opportunity to be successful. And that's the main thing that Ernie,and all of the other manufacturers need to keep in mind! They have got to build cars,and systems that provide fair,and affordable racing. Most of the people who are racing in the "Pro" classes now,didn't start there,they had something basic and fun to begin with.It needs to be said that the people who go and buy faster,and more expensive stuff,are the same ones who had the spec cars first! We need all the racers we can get! Thanks go to Bill as well,for bringing very important toys to the playground,ie.....computer lap-counting! I'm glad you had the opportunity to talk to Ernie,and if he needs more convincing,he can e-mail me.You know that I'll be glad to share my views!:lol:

Joe I got the point thru.I even talked to Associated but?I've gotten some other ideas that I'm going to put out there to ROAR.I don't think they will go but I'm going to anyway.
I also can't beleive the only thing I was looking at the whole time at the Birds was all the oval stuff.I've been ovalized!See you nextSunday...........

when you get a group of racers together,and each one is on top of their game,it is a beautiful thing! In road course,you have somewhat of an individualist thing,where you race the track,the clock,and sometimes,....each other. In oval,it is better for real-time assessment of your cars performance,as compared to the others on the track,and you still have to race the track,but you have the advantage of sometimes following a faster car,to get an idea for a faster line. Either way,......racing is always something to look foward to!

Oh yeah! The car is ready! Just got to swap the ESC around,and cycle the cells.Bought a new motor for it too,supposed to be dyno'ed for 4 cell racing.If I can get ahold of another ESC,then I can race both cars,need to get a third chassis for spec at HW,.......oh yeah, I'm ate up:D

We're racing tommorrow(2-15-03). The TV will be going: Boggie-Boggie Boggie.It should be a great show -again.

My first obligation is with the Carriggs and there plans. They were talking about going to Saturday evenings for the summer.As for the Daytona race I'll have to see about that.I've now got my other old racing guys wanting to go back to the state races.I'll know more as it gets closer to the events.I'm also waiting for the new Raceteck/Bolink oval car.Who knows???????????

Saturday evenings would be cool,in more ways than one! They have some nice lighting around the track!Hoping it doesn't rain this sunday!

katfish the first problem you'll have getting there is 295.The exit is all screwed up.You have to go 95 to US1 exit and turn around and get on 295 north.Go across the bridge and get off at the second exit(Blanding Blvd.- Orange Park Mall) and go to the right.Get in the left lane -look for the Burger King and Eckerds on the left.Thats Collins road go left.go to the dead end(about 3.5 miles).Go right on Shindler for 1 mile(look for a church on the left).Go left on Hipp road to the first street on the right Paul Howard and go right. Third house on the right(big red barn)........................

katfish- you can't run caps.Get purple foams all the way around. Or get one red front and the rest purples.If you can't get them they've got some there.

bill wake up! i was told they now have a cap class and a foam class. so i will have both! i do need some red fronts if i run foam though! or i'll run both foams and caps or i'll run left side caps right side foams! anything to make ya mad bill! lol :devil:

By the way new race fees went into effect today-$10.00 for the first car and $5.00 for the second.

katf1sh,I have had the chance to talk with you about racing before,and have met you at CPT,and I can tell you,if you get the chance to get to Jax.and run at Tuffy's,........do it!! I'm not as hardcore as you,or Bean,or Bear,or Joe Malin,so if I can tell you that you do need to go to Tuffy's at least once,......what are you waiting for? Now,I don't know if anyone can beat Bear there,he is running a slot car over there,but if there is anyone who can,you might need to try,........okay,did that get you? :lol:

hey joe! my only problem i have with driving over an hour to race is the weather! since i have been lucky enough to race indoors alot this pastyear i am spoiled rotten. i woke up felt rain drops went back to sleep. i will not travel very far anymore if it looks like rain. i did it last year at superior and it stunk! i will however make it a monthly journey to tuffy's as long as the weather holds out..now the forecast for this sunday is dry , will you guys be racing this sunday? i have my cars ready to go less red fronts...i'm ready...the question is ???is bear?? lol i cant have that touring nerd whoop up on me! he he i hear only good things about tuffy's track from some very good racers. maybe c dog and ed dog and ronny dog will come play? :eek:

bear i have one major beef with you guys! adam made a web site for atomic a year or so ago...as of today it still says the same crap it did a year ago...do you guys plan on fixing the web site anytime soon? i'm tired of looking at padilla and his store bought trophies! :devil:

Katf1sh,I can understand the weather thing,we used to spend many a night drying out the track at the great HW,when it was a short-track,it's too big to do too much to it now when it rains,just too much acreage to dry.Bear is a funny guy,......he get beaten sometimes,when he breaks :lol: And that's not often either. Seriously,he is a good racer,if I had the means to sponsor someone,he would be a good choice,so would some others here. He doesn't like spec cars though,he doesn't like driving dump trucks,......one of the many reasons I like them so much! Oh,I did beat him once,6-cell stock,....and his wheel fell off :lol: I never seen that happen to him again,.....yikes! Tuffy is good too,......real good!! All that real racing that he did,went right to the track!........yikes again! Nothing like waking up to a challenge,or,driving an hour for one :thumbsup:
