View Full Version : Summit Raceway - Fort Wayne, IN Xpressman 12-21-2003, 09:51 PM Also forgot that I first ran this car at the last Snowbird's warmup race at Hobbytown Indy. Dwight-YGM alexaj46 12-21-2003, 09:57 PM Thanks Dwight, I already sent John an email before I got on the Conference web site where John said he just shipped BMS some tires. So I will call BMS on Monday and see what they have. Cya next time Jim Dwight Smith 12-22-2003, 04:46 PM Phil...will you guys be running oval Saturday 1/3? Dwight  alexaj46 12-22-2003, 07:23 PM Summit is running on 1/3, at lease thats what there web site says.. dynoman007 12-23-2003, 01:35 AM http://hometown.aol.com/sheath9831/raceway.html bluelineracer 12-23-2003, 04:32 PM jim alexander...has everyone agreed to wait on running the binary stock up there? dusty Mark Recio 12-23-2003, 04:48 PM nicely worded... bluelineracer 12-23-2003, 05:56 PM it seems that worded any more direct and it evokes "mucho discussion" makes sense that one would want to stay with monsters if one were heading to fla. to run...yes? paris says.."oooh..hellllo  alexaj46 12-23-2003, 07:15 PM Well, I have not seen or heard of any one using them in 4C stock. On the other hand, some of the other classes have been using the binary outlaw for a little while. The word is that Sunday’s race will be roar legal stock motors only. Now for the club races the feeling is that ROAR sooner or later will make the quad magnets stocker legal. So why not give the racers a place to test the new motors as long as most people are able to purchase the motors. XXX-Fan 12-23-2003, 09:39 PM Man Dusty, you so fast it would take an outlaw motor to beat you.HAHA!! You in for stock Saturday? You running Sunday too? Seriously, are they allowing the new quads there yet? I have all my monsters freshly tuned from the MAN!! Randy :D Xpressman 12-23-2003, 10:18 PM Well, I have not seen or heard of any one using them in 4C stock. I might be sticking my foot in my mouth on this one but I am going to say it anyways. The Epic motor even says outlaw on it. It does not go by ANYONEs stock motor rules so it should not be confused as a stock. ROAR will proably approve epoxy balancing for stock motors before they will allow 4 magnets in stock. It looks like they are going to allow the 4 magnet motors in 19t for the 2004 rules so it won't be until 2005 that they would allow the 4 magnets in stock. Besides as Dusty said you proably want to stay with a monster if you are planning on traveling somewhere warm. alexaj46 12-23-2003, 11:30 PM Your right, if your going to travel around you better stay with roar legal motors. But I think you will still see alot of racers using the outlaw motor during there weekly races. If a tracks hobby shop sales them I can't see how they disallow them for weekly races. bluelineracer 12-24-2003, 09:46 AM evokes much discussion :freak: there are arguments for both sides of this deal. i'll stick with my monsters. i honestly agree with expressman...it says outlaw..and not legal on it. kind of clouds the whole thing, huh? i know you're making a point jim, in regards to the shops selling them but telling you you can't run them at there track. and i also know that you're one of the few guys who does whatever it takes to keep this hobby going. i appreciate your willingness to always help out. maybe saturday we'll do a timed solo run with your car only changing from a monster to a binary and see where a guy can gain/lose with this motor. gaerte boys..see you saturday...and don't let me put a 19 turn in either!(unless of course i'm just shaking it down  XXX-Fan 12-24-2003, 11:12 AM Dusty, You funny!! :jest: I will be the only one coming over to run with you. Eric has some Christmas get together to go to. I am sticking with my monsters also. After all, that is what we are running at the Birds.. I was just curious if we would be running against the quads. Randy  bluelineracer 12-24-2003, 11:51 AM i'll be too busy installing additional front bumpers with your name on them to build any new motors. haven't had a chance to touch my stuff since the last visit. we'll have fun. dusty alexaj46 12-24-2003, 11:59 AM Randy, Dusty, Brain, I agree with all for you, I don't even own a binary at this point in time. The only way I will run a binary if I start getting beat by them. What I mean is if I start getting out motor versa out driven. I personally think I can gain more speed by working on my car setup then I could by a new motor . !!! cya this weekend !! Jim Mark Recio 12-24-2003, 12:48 PM Outlaw? Mine says '2145' on it. Jim, Are you in for mod 1/12 again this weekend? We could do 19-turn as well. ttyl, Mark bluelineracer 12-24-2003, 12:55 PM paging mr. panzica....mr. monti panzica...please pick up a BLUE courtesy phone. you blistering up highway 69 saturday or sunday?( the actual interstate folks...keep it clean) tell your schedule maker it's important. alexaj46 12-24-2003, 01:02 PM yep, I'll run what ever you guys want to run. GOT TIRE? lol John said he would put my order of 1/12 tires in with yours. Hope you got them... cya sat...Jim Dwight Smith 12-24-2003, 01:52 PM Merry Christmas to all the guys at the Fort! Merry Christmas Everyone! Jamie Hanson 12-26-2003, 02:09 AM I can't wait to come back. I will see you all Saturday and Sunday. 19turn right? Xpressman 12-26-2003, 03:07 AM I can't wait to come back. I will see you all Saturday and Sunday. 19turn right? 19t sounds good to me. My best run was a 66 4:02.96 last week and then they turned the heat off and the track got WAY to tight to be fun. Should be better this week. 19t sounds good to me as long as Monti brings his L4 so I can copy another setup. Monti007 12-26-2003, 05:51 PM I ditto what sonny said but I would go one stiffer on the side springs. -Monti- blueracer55 12-26-2003, 08:01 PM thanks monti, and sunny. i called on my car today, and i can't get a answer. aaa said it was shipped. john hasn't seen it yet. i wish i could make it. damned u ups, and holidays... lol. also i sold my adx2, so i have no oval blues. ): but i'll come out soon as possible. we doin' 4 or 6 cell up thuur.. thanks again.... paul blueracer55 12-27-2003, 11:48 AM and ur still on that bolink body kick. ..........sunny. sorry i switched to mcallister. their a pretty good body and half the price of bolink, and pf. Xpressman 12-28-2003, 02:23 AM What a day of racing. Tons of new track records. 4-cell stock Dusty Kemp 12th 19t Mark Recio 4-cell 19t Rich Talbot (had to be there to understand the name) TC mod I don't remember who by but yes they did run mod touring cars on the oval Should be a good race tomorrow. See you all there. Xpressman 12-28-2003, 02:43 AM Ok I know Zubie has the get out of mod free card. How I don't know I know he does. I need to know who has the get out of 19t free card. My L4 is suckin it up and I have no idea how I ran a 66 last week. I still think they need to put a chicane in the back straight. Dwight Smith 12-28-2003, 02:53 PM Congratulations to Dusty, Mark and Rick on your new TR's! Way to go.... Dwight  Xpressman 12-28-2003, 10:02 PM Congrates to Sonny Brown on a new 4-cell mod track record. I qualified 4th and finished 2nd 2 seconds behind Frank. This mod stuff is kinda fun. Oh yeah I'm sorry Monti I ran a setup I copied off of Walter this time. So much steering I didn't know what to do with myself. A big thanks to the Summit crew for putting on the race. Even though they didn't have trophies for 4-cell mod. The program ran a lil long and I think that si something that really needs to be looked at in the future. Either start earlier, pack the heats, or my fav go to one minute between the heats. With the one min people have to get ready earlier and then if someone needs an extra minute then it is 2 mins between round vs. 3 as it is now. This would decrease each round by over 30 mins. All in all it was a funn weekend of Lansing, FW, and then FW again. See you all at the track. Brian sheath 12-29-2003, 12:11 AM A great day of racing in the Fort! Ballblazer 12-29-2003, 07:06 PM So how big is your track? How many feet around? alexaj46 12-29-2003, 08:56 PM its run line is about 140 bluelineracer 12-30-2003, 10:40 AM wanted to thank squirrly dave and everyone else at "the fort" for a great weekend. had the feeling of an old m.o.c. race...michigan superstars, ohio outlaws and even an illinois invader made for tremendous racing. for the record....if any of us "aged" veterans have trouble getting beat by a kid....we're in serious trouble. chris ulbrick is GOOD. a couple of years ago he could put 3 minutes in that would scare the best racer...now he's got 4 minutes in him. uh-oh. we're lucky frank and mike are holding out on the big voltage. :p thanks to all who came and raced. see ya soon dusty(not dean) jason crist 12-30-2003, 11:05 AM hey Dust (not dean) good run in stock I'll be there next time to run with ya i ran on sunday stock and couldn't get a good run to do anything with and then the 9 guys in A main was well busy yes thanks to Summit Raceway for a good weekend of racing and the good time i had Dusty when is the next race for ya? jason bluelineracer 12-30-2003, 02:06 PM i've got a remaining christmas gathering this weekend..i'll be in tulsa next weekend...so, i'm shooting for the next one (17th i think). that will probably be it until the 'birds. i'm probably going to try and get the slider car closer in 19 turn...but it wouldn't be a bad idea to see if you,me and mark could do a timed run with the stockers at some point. my solid car felt pretty good...just need to smooth out the other one a little. DaveW 12-30-2003, 02:30 PM I'll have Brent put a new bumper on his stocker and he can join too. Lol alexaj46 12-30-2003, 05:05 PM Hey Guys I like 9 cars in the mains, keeps you fast drivers in check "lol" It was the only chance I had to win!!! Sorry I didn't see what happen to the leaders all I knew was i went from 4,3,2 to 1st.. anyway I had a blast the entire weekend... cya Jim bluelineracer 12-31-2003, 09:30 AM dave...i'd be happy to get dumped by the legendary brent lane  the problem is....his alotted 1 road trip is up for the next 3 months. maybe you can con him into another appearance...even if it is just for an autograph session. i'd still like to take up a "brent lane snowbirds donation fund" for two reasons. 1) because i think he was too close to winning that he deserves another chance and 2) 'cause it makes your life so much better. where'd i hang those dirty socks? see ya vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
