Girl scouts?? What the h?ll?LOL!! I wish I could come race with you guys this weekend. Still have not even built the new solid car yet. Well, it is partly done. Got around 3 hours just in the front end. But, that is where all the speed is and I want it right.

Sonny Brown has single handedly destroyed 4-cell mod at Summitt.

There is nothing like pitting next to Brent Lane. The red rag did help me go faster but I dumped. :(

And Sonny can turn 66 laps. Just not faster then Dusty though.

bassmaster.....congrats. you must have been pretty quick...pitting that close to me has it's advantages (j/k) it really is quite a feat considering the treatment you've got to tolerate from your car owner. but, then again....a .42 is WAY off a .08....had to do it.

I have a good deal on tiny pieces of a Terminator Pro for sale. It'll probably will fit into a couple of small sandwich baggies! All from using a M8 at the Velodrome last summer! You way want to consider a Futaba PK3 or something!!

The Airtronics M8 has plenty of range to work at the Velodrome. Of course the owner must make sure all parts of the Tx are working and it is in good tune. It is recommended that all Tx go back for regular service to make sure all is working fine. I think the cost at Airtronics is $35 or $40. I have the address if anyone is interested. Monti, that was a cheap shot. :eek:

Like it or not guys, Futaba dominates the oval market. JR runs a distant second, with KO and Airtronics barely showing up on the radar.

So when you ask an oval guy about radio equipment, you probably shouldn't be surprised with the Brand F response. On the flip side, ask an off or on road guy, it would be almost the exact opposite, many more use Airtronics, KO, and JR then Futaba.

Why? No good reason other then peer pressure. Go with what feels good in your hand, performs well on the track, and is easily repaired. And remember, you get what you pay for.

Hard to go wrong with that philosophy!

always the voice of reason. the reason i have a airtronics is because i ran dirt for 1 and a half years. plus the price is another factor. no it's not the best for oval. but it's not a junk radio. now if i had the money, and i only raced oval i would have a futaba. but i like dirt, road coarse, and oval. so i think it is the best all around radio for the money.
i didn't buy it because a so and so driver uses it.

As for radios Futaba is a more oval friendly radio but that new KO with the crazy grip looks interesting?

If you want a good oval radio for not alot of bling....try to find a an older Futaba PCM. Kinda bulky looking.....but for around 75.00 bucks on ebay or on the buy swap area here you can get just the pistol controller. The new recievers work with it, and it works well. I have two older ones and will never part with them. Have had both of mine for almost 8 years......reason why I will never part with them, BEST DARN RADIO I EVER OWNED.....AND MY MOTHER WOULD KILL ME!!!! lol

Hint on the last one...she bought them for me as a b-day present.....HA HA
