simply put....we have no racing gear. the delivery service that we enlisted to transport our stuff to florida is, at the moment, a one way venture. if all goes well, we might see it tonight...then again...i've thought that before.

Maybe he wasn't kidding about the auction.

Blueracer55 - I'm sure that if you email the seller he'll take care of the situation, he probably just shipped the wrong package. I've always had good luck on ebay and people always fix their mistakes when you let them know what's wrong.

Back to set-ups - does anyone know if the legends class are running bushings or bearings? also, I'm assuming that they are still running legends bodies, correct?

On the pancar, 4-cell stock, are most of the guys running spoilers or wings, or is it just driver preference/car set-up?

Just wondering about 6 cell stock. Does anybody run this anymore at Summit? I 'm tired of hearing of the tracks switching to 4 cell. What's the big deal with 4 cell anyway? I could see it as a novice class because there are too many drivers who can't handle the speed of of 6 cell and tear up there stuff and then quit. It looks like the oval racing is getting divided up again, now the talk of 4 cell 19. I guess 4 cell stock was too slow (surprise!) And now they want 4 cell 19 becasue its faster than 4 cell stock and the same speed as 6 cell stock. It just seems like ROAR keeps chasing it tail and everyone else is doing the same.

Mark Recio
02-22-2004, 03:08 PM
Hydro,

Using ROAR specs can never hurt!

Ken,

I think it would be more accurate to ask, who runs 6-cell anymore, not just at summit. Like I said above, with the exception of Northern IN and Northern KY at one track, very few areas of the country run 6-cell anything anymore. This is nothing new, no divisions here!

XXX-Fan
02-22-2004, 04:42 PM
Well said Mark. Who runs 6-cell anymore? The ones who want to wear their motors and tires out faster. :D Thats who. If people would go to other tracks than just their one local track, they would see 6-cell is a thing of the past.

I believe Mr. Gauger will be in the house, along with Willinium, Rob Feezer and a few others from the off-road track.

E The track opens 10am but it’s controlled practice. I think the Ohio guys are allowed on the track from 4 to 4:02... I know thats all you need.

I want to race somewhere else once in a while but I'm not going to rebuild or buy more stuff to do it. Its just aggrivating to see what has happened to oval. The rules for 19t are so loose anybody could cheat to win. ROAR and the motor mfg's have gone to great lengths to keep the stock class even and fair. We have an excellent group of guys up here and wanted to race on Sat of Sunday away from home.

I'm sure I'm not the only who feels this way about the 4 cell thing. If it isn't broke don't fix it. I'm not sure if our group will be coming over now because of the 4 cell thing.

If I ran up there I would have to buy batteries and new motors to race with plus I'm sure the 6 cell setup will be out to lunch for 4 cell racing. I don't want to start "Brand new" at a track that I'm not that familar with.

We had a couple of guys run 4 cell 19t up at Elkhart and they were about 3-4 laps slower than 6 cell stock.

KenBajdek
02-23-2004, 08:37 PM
Thanks for the offer Mark Recio but I don't have any 4 cell stuff (like a 5 cell reciever pack) and don't have a clue where to start on a setup. The springs setup, tires etc will all be different because of the lower weight and less power.
