Just rumors I thought I should spread. Mark Recio 02-17-2004, 10:08 PM That would be incorrect. XXX-Fan 02-17-2004, 10:09 PM Just heard from Mark Recio and dave is not showing up again tonight  We have made arrangements twice now to pick our stuff up and had to cancel both  "Supposedly" Dave is supposed to meet Mark tomorrow in Indy at a location of Marks choice to drop the stuff off. Should anything change, I'll let you know. Thanks, Mark jason crist 02-18-2004, 12:46 PM Brent L. yes 4 cell stock this saturday at Racestreet raceway sounds good. Paul ya i'm going to Racestreet this saturday. Everyone Else ATA AIRLINES DOES A GREAT JOB IN SHIPPING YOUR R/C STUFF ON THE PLANE WITH YOU. i HAVE MY STUFF THE SAME DAY I LANDED IN INDY. IN FACT I HAVE MY STUFF AND HAVE IT RADY FOR RACING THIS WEEKEND. So for those who believe in higher powers? someone was looking out for me that day. P.S. I saw on Ebay someone selling 4 KSG chassis and 1 1/12th scale KSG chassis. also LEADING EDGE chassis the EDGE and a couple 1/12th scales one T12 1/12th scale and one solid 1/12th scale that has LEADING EDGE'S name on it looks like a solid chassis (awsome looking) 1/12th scale ......... wait i know that car it's LEADING EDGE'S new 1/12th scale solid chassis. LOL see ya at the track jason crist blueracer55 02-18-2004, 12:51 PM crist u weirdo. Mark Recio 02-18-2004, 12:54 PM Sorry Jason, I'm glad you have your stuff, and I'm glad ATA did a great job for you, but at this point, it isn't funny at all. hydroracer 02-18-2004, 01:00 PM I'm planning on racing at Summit on 2-28 (Saturday) and I've got a few questions. It looks like you guys are going to be running oval that night, is this correct? also, what classes normally show up on a saturday night? what time does practice begin and when does racing start? any other advice as to extras that I need to bring/set-ups/costs/etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks jason crist 02-18-2004, 01:12 PM Hydroracer 4 cell stock, 4 cell 19 turn, legends, touring oval, novice $12.00 to race they have food on site and McD's around the corner hope this helps. Mark Recio, sorry man not trying to be an butt. just trying to have fun. I feel ya, because when i talked to dave sunday night at snowbirds he said he wasn't loading up until monday morning. So when i made that walk down to your pit area at 8:00 am and your stuff was gone and then walked to Dave and sonny's room and they said everyone loaded up last night (sunday pm) i was getting alittle mad. so after walking around the whole parking lot looking for the truck and trailer and it was nowhere to be seen, then i was very mad. So after an hour of making phone calls i was not as mad. So anyway Mark i feel your pain. LOL good luck Dave will be there and everything will be fine. later jason blueracer55 02-18-2004, 01:24 PM if not whip him with a chain. mad max style yo! hydroracer 02-18-2004, 01:35 PM Thanks for the info. do you run any 6-cell stock on saturdays? on the legends, I saw the rules on the main summit page, but do you have to follow all of the other standard legends rules (fixed gear ratio, spec tires, etc.)? Mark Recio 02-18-2004, 01:45 PM Hydro, I'm not sure on the legends stuff, but I know you do not have to use spec tires. I also believe it's any stock motor. As for six cell stock, it seems that the pocket of IN that you are in (South Bend, LaPaz, Plymouth) still run it, but everywhere else is 4 cell. As a baseline for a monster stock with 4 cells, try rolling out (Tire Diameter x 3.14 x pinon/spur) at about 2.22-2.26. If everything goes as planned, there should be a good group of racers up there on the 28th. If you have any questions, see Jason, Myself, or Dusty Kemp. We'll all be glad to give you a hand with anything you need. Thanks, Mark Greg Anthony 02-18-2004, 01:50 PM Did you guys check e-bay lately? ha ha ha hydroracer 02-18-2004, 01:56 PM Thanks again for the great info. I know that us 6-cell guys are a dying breed, I was just hoping to find another track to race at. as far as the 4-cell stuff is concerned, what is minimum weight w/ or w/o transponder? also, are you running Nascar style bodies? wings or spoilers? Do I still need to bring a table/chair as it says on the main website? any other helpful info that I can plan ahead for? blueracer55 02-18-2004, 03:04 PM nascar body, wing, spoiler, back cut out-4-cell. they have plenty of seating, and tables. go with marks roll out. hope that answer's u. paul h blueracer55 02-18-2004, 03:05 PM hydro what chasis u runnin? hydroracer 02-18-2004, 03:28 PM I'm running an L3/L4 setup currently as my six-cell. But I also run a Trinity SB2 on occassions. I'm probably going to bring the associated car to ft. wayne to run, it's a little more consistent for me. does the track have a lot of traction? also, is the track fairly large and sweeping or are the turns fairly tight? Thanks again for the info everyone, I greatly appreciate it. Mark Recio 02-18-2004, 03:41 PM Hydro, I think it's corners are similar to LaPaz's, but the traction is MUCH better. Run line is about 145' or so. hydroracer 02-18-2004, 03:59 PM Now if i had only run at LaPaz in the past two years...haha. I run at Plymouth and at Elkhart mostly. what compound tires are you running (in general)? what time do the doors open and when does racing begin? I'm going to need as much practice time as I can get because I'm horrible at 4-cell racing. Do you guys enforce minimum roof height rules over there? Any other rules that 1st timers to the track normally violate? here, the only thing that really matters in pan car racing is stock motor and six cells, little if anything else is teched. Mark Recio 02-18-2004, 04:06 PM Hydro, Lapaz hasn't changed their oval in at least 15 years ;) I think you're safe. What brand of tires do you run? Generally speaking, three pinks and a purple work well, so do three whites and a black, or a grey on the RF. Tech is pretty much the same at Ft. Wayne. No worries. hydroracer 02-18-2004, 04:10 PM I don't think that they've changed their carpet in 15 years either...well, maybe once. I normally run green or white rears, green or blue LF and purple RF. jason crist 02-18-2004, 04:26 PM Hydroracer your fine with the whites or green rears front purple RF or maybe blue green LF this should help you and for what Mark said hopefully should be a good turn out the 28th. later jason blueracer55 02-18-2004, 05:32 PM hydro, u'll be fine. everyone is nice. just ask for help, and u shall receive. front l white r purple rear l white r green that's what i ran last time. it done very well with a 2.20 roll out with a monster. we'll get u up to speed , or put u in the wall lol. paul vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
