What would be really nice is if they had PONTIAC RALLY WHEELS:D and even better, maybe some HONEY COMB wheels. I am so tired of the Crager crap. If they brought out those wheels, man would those cars look good! And I'd finally have some wheels for my '73 SD slot  Until then...she'll just be a bunch of parts. I'm banning Cragers LOL!

Oh yeaaaa, bucanneer red & brewster green. I can't imagine these not being done sometime. :D I'll probably pre-order some boxes.

Just get the hood bird colors correct is all I ask.
Now, if they didn't come with the hood bird, they had a small bird on the nose.
Looking forward to these big time. Took'em long enough! I'll be waiting to give my money to JL!
Chris

You will not be dissappointed. These are my last mock ups.
Art and Tony will be decorating these for next year based on pics of real cars. Wheel budget is used up for next year, but maybe in 2004 they will make some more correct wheels for these. We are making 5 new rims for 2003. Cragars do look cool on these..

Ah guys, wait a minute here. What Al didn't say is the T/A stands for TA Tom. You will be getting cars with Tom's mug all over them. Some of those little faces are stratigically placed close to parts of the bird's naughty areas.

The WL version shows off a bald picture of Tom without his wig on.
Rock on!:D

2000 R/A-T/A in dark Blue to match mine. As for the third gen make it an 86 T/A WS6 red with silver ground FX just like mine. I'll send the 86 to gunn to add black and gray seats and gray carpet gray door panels and open up the hatch under the cargo screen one 10# NOS bottle. . What doya say gunn can you do it. I'll make it worth your wild.

Honeycomb rims would be cool as long as they are of the best quality and detail...generic looking honeycombs would just ruin it for me.

Great series idea PM...now just work it!

Yes, I know that they have a casting for the 1969 already, but I was under the impression that the current casting was being replaced by a new one.

Mac's list is wrong. We are not doing a '69 Firebird coupe. I wrote the info for the Firebirds so I can say for 100% sure there is no '69 model. I proposed a '69 Firebird Convertible but was shot down for 2003. Maybe in 2004 they will do it. For 2003 there is no '69 Firebird coupe.

Well, let me think here, 3 new castings that I'm sure will meet our expectations from Playing Mantis, add the '67 Firebird, the '00 Firebird to make 5, and 6th.......NO PLEASE NO MORE OF THAT HORRID, PRE-HOT ROD AL CASTING 1969 FOUR WHEEL DRIVE FIREBIRD!!!

BTW, thanks for the reply, Al, we can always count on you.

No problem, anytime... Bt the way these are my last castings for PM. Art and Tony will have to finish them. Hope they turn out as great as I have invisioned them to be. I wish we would have done these a year ago.
These should ship in the fall of 2003.
Later!!

Waiting for the release of the firebird series. HAY AL why not send me some prototypes to keep me from going bonkers (PLEASE). What I really need is an early release. Just 9 more months.

We will not use the '69 MC2 "Fatbird" casting unless some serious arm-twisting is involved. Icky icky poo poo bleah.

There will be no NEW '69 casting. Mac's list came from me, which came before the binder meeting for these. In a choice between more variations of the '70s cars and a whole casting for a single year, we chose the former. Sorry for the confusion.

LS1, you need an early release? Sounds like a personal problem. I'd talk to a doctor. Meantime, you or anyone with any 1:1 scale Firebirds or T/As (though we can't call them that yet--we're working on it) in their garages can feel free to submit photos via the Your Car is the Star program.

jk

ps--I saw the mockups yesterday. Al had them hidden in his desk. Maybe, if you're nice, they'll show up in Newsflash next issue...

Too bad you guys don't have a convertible casting of the 1998-2002. My Daytona Pace Car would really look great done JL style. Of course, then you have to get the liscense from Daytona to use their logo.

Ya right your just trying to be the majority holder of whites of your car. Once you have em you won't let them go. If it was my car I wouldn't I'd own all that I could and if anyone wanted one they would have to petition me to get one at MY FAIR MARKET PRICE:lol:
