That white '70 in the last series is one of my favorites for this year!

http://www.jlcollector.com/mod/fb370.jpg

I hope they get the '89 casting finished by the next release, if it's still being worked.

This one has been elusive in WL. Hope a ton show up soon.

THought I would post this up for Austin(200WS6) to look at.
Now that Firebirds Rd. 4 has arrived I can start looking towards Rd. 5 and hope to see a Brewster Green 73 Trans Am and maybe a third gen???

Seems as if they never do the stuff we really want. I came to this board in hopes of making a difference. Ive started collecting and found that alot of these models are wrong. I still like them and collect them as there still Trans Am models, but I hope some day they can put some of the profits back into there company to make better wheels and make different body options for convertable and non-ram air t/a's. Im probably dreaming but oh well.

Superduty455 I feel your pain, hang in there, maybe someday they will listen, but dont hold your breath.

Does anyone have any rumors for Firebird R5? I cant wait to see whats there, Im hoping for a 2002 firehawk (done right, otherwise dont do it), or a 99 30th inverse (even though there wasn't a true t-top it would still be kool). Or maybe they will finally make a convertable or atleast a t-top with the t-tops down. oh well, we all can dream cant we?

As far as I know,GM hasnt sold the rites to use the 3rd gen bird to any toy companys in years. Last thing I remember seeing was plastic model kits back in the early ninetys.

ON JL's site under the Your Car can be the star promo they had a GTA listed but I'm not holding my breth.

ON JL's site under the Your Car can be the star promo they had a GTA listed but I'm not holding my breth.

Take a look at the last time that was updated- it's seriously outdated. The third generation Firebird was added to that list before it got canceled. I believe the International Scout is also on that list, and likewise canceled. Note how many newer castings that have actually made it to store shelves are not on that list.

I kind of get the feeling Your Car Is The Star is a program RC2 is looking at discontinuing, or at the very least, that it's just not important to them at all. And that's likely due to fewer photocard programs.

Secondly, don't bash the AMCs. AMC has some very loyal fans who suffered from a lack of diecast product for over a decade until Johnny Lightning started cranking out a few Kenosha specials.

Meanwhile, I'd like to remind you that third generation fire chickens have been made by the following: Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Corgi, Yatming, ERTL, Zylmex, Maisto, and pretty much every other company that was making diecast cars to sell in the American market in the 1980s. The car is already overdone in 1/64, sorry.

Actually a Pinto was my first car and hope it does get produced.

No Firebird peg warmers anywhere around here.

I have a few Birds that were out years ago. OK casting but lacking a lot of the detail you get with a JL. Most are a cheeply made diecast like the ones you would find at a drug store going for 2 for $1.

i tried printing off a set on my crappy printer and that is exactly how they turned out...... CRAPPY! i don't believe there is any hope to save my good printer. for what it would probably cost to have it fixed, i could buy a new one for just a bit more. unfortunately, i have bigger goals that i must tackle first. here is a pic of them. i never figured out how to save multiple images in the testors decal kit. at the time, i copied and pasted a few sets on one sheet. when i open the file after saving it, it would always just show the original one that i would have to fart around with by having to resize it to 1/64 scale.
