View Full Version : KSG extreme cs??
None that I know of but it is pretty slick. You cut the block where the line is on the arm. Then the corrector bolts thru the front hole and the ball goes in the back one, it lowers the outer ball down some. The only thing I didn't like, and this is in the instructions, is that with some balls you have to remove some of the threads on the peice itself. I used an AE ball and had to take threads out. You have to be careful doing it though!!!!!
blueracer55 01-13-2004, 04:31 PM uhha ok thanks.

Roadsplat 01-20-2004, 10:16 PM Danny: Just wondering if you have changed your setup from what you posted at the beginning of this thread. That was over a year ago and thought maybe you found a different shock angle, spring combo...etc that seems to work better.

XXX-Fan 01-21-2004, 09:50 PM Danny,
My car always seems to be tight form the center to exit of turn. What can I do to help this? I need to get it figured out before the Birds.
160' runline, Snowbird style track, flat carpet
My setup: usually 10.8oz. LR weight
RR-grey Both a-arms down
Lr-grey -2 rf camber
rf-black +1 lf camber
lf-grey rf caster-both shims to the rear of car
All Jaco lf caster-one shim in front,1 in rear
Not sure exactly what that figures in degrees
springs:
rr-blue Oils, rr-30,lr-30,center-45,#3piston-HPI shock
lr-gold
center-silva copper Finishline Med. spring steel t-plate
rf-red standard wolfe
lf-green standard wolfe
this is for 4-cell stock, and are there certain lengths the center and side shocks are supposed to be built to?
I run centered pod, and should I be using reverse stagger front and rear?
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks,
Randy
bluelineracer 01-22-2004, 10:33 AM randy..check your pm.

SMROCKET 01-22-2004, 10:42 AM If the car is short from center off try ZERO castor in the left front .....also check your rear track width....

B mullins 01-25-2004, 12:02 PM I need some help setting up my new ksg car. Are u running the wolfe small axles or the stock associated axles? If you are u running the small axles, how do u have them spaced(shimmed) out? Any suggestions on the new sway bars as well as to how to set them up? Would i want to load the rf or lf with the sway bar more?
All of this for a flat track, thanks in advance
B
Ovalman19 01-25-2004, 12:22 PM Cool Eric, good luck with your new sled.
Curtis.
EAMotorsports 01-25-2004, 07:53 PM B Mullins---Ive only run my car one weekend. But I do run the small axles. By shimming the wheels basiclly what you are doing is making the spring rate softer on the tire you shim out. If your running a Red RF and its not soft enough but a white is too soft you can shim the rf tire out .020-.050. It doesnt take much...a little at a time will do.
As for the sway bar I think you run both sides the same height...I dont think you want to load either side....but then again I havent run that yet but I will find out.
Thanks Curtis

dgilman 02-01-2004, 09:05 PM www.ksgmotorsports.com it's an expensive car
EAMotorsports 02-01-2004, 11:44 PM Those are retail prices dgilman....You can expect to pay around 340.00 for a kit in the hobbyshops. But the car comes with everything you need. Shock mount, castor blocks, etc. Its top notch.

blueracer55 02-02-2004, 10:03 AM ran my ksg for the first time sat.. i was about 1 lap1/2 off record pace. car reacts very well to changes. my first time at the track and with the car i was very pleased. thanks ksg.
B mullins 02-02-2004, 10:56 AM http://www.racefactoryrc.com/home has them for 315.00.
colton 02-02-2004, 06:58 PM Does the new car come with adjustability for offset in the kit?
If you mean hubs, it does not come with the ones for the offset pod.
MobileMikeV 02-02-2004, 07:27 PM Will KSG Motorsports sell replcaement parts directly to the consumer?
Why would you want to do that when there are several places around that carry and stock their parts and pieces?
colton 02-03-2004, 01:12 PM vwal, i mean the top plate does it come with that?
B mullins 02-03-2004, 01:17 PM colton, all u need is the offset hubs to run offset pod. no additional items required like the hd's.
colton 02-03-2004, 01:37 PM thanks B mullins, have you ran this car at k/n race way? if you have can you tell me the setup.

B mullins 02-03-2004, 05:50 PM That doesnt sound like a bad ideal, if we are unthawed by then. I think someone forgot to back the snow with them when they went to the snowbirds. 18+ and getting more tomorrow. YEAH

jake86 02-03-2004, 06:32 PM it is march 27th and 28th

Mark Recio 02-10-2004, 10:41 AM Hey everyone!
I just wanted to thank Jim & Andy for producing such great products. I was fortunate enough to receive one of the new 1/12th scale cars before the birds. Wow is about all I can say about it.
Thanks again guys!
raceway1 02-17-2004, 09:37 AM Is anyone using a swaybar in 4 cell stock? If so which bar are you using and what improvments do you notice when you run it?
jeepnyy 02-17-2004, 08:04 PM Does KSG have a conversion kit ? How much ?
MobileMikeV 02-17-2004, 08:07 PM If you are talking about an L40 conversion, the only thing you could use is the front end, so you are better off buying a whole car kit
Murdock RC has a conversion kit listed, not sure if he still does them or not. Give him a buzz and find out!!!
