Kenwood 02-03-2006, 08:08 AM Why not ship without... I think I can count on 1 hand the number of current KSG cars Ive seen using the associated kit center shock... Almost every car Ive seen uses HPI or Tamiya.. Actually I wish someone would come out with a kit that had no shocks in it.. I prefer the Tamiya center and Silva sides anyway..
It stinks that these things are getting held up on a shock... Id like to get my hands on one.. ;)
There are kits with no shocks included, the sylva car,the maverick the leading edge kits all are superior quality kits that let YOU choose the extra's.
rickk5 02-03-2006, 09:42 AM I Agree Ship The Kits Without The Center Shock, There Are Alot Of People Wanting This Car!!!!
Yeah, the only car that has a shock that people really use was the CW car I believe, and I only know a few people with those. But I never even built the AE shock with my first 2 KSG cars... Send them minus the shock!!!
I think the manuf's ought to just lower the cost of their complete kits and eliminate all three shocks,I never use any of the shocks that come with the kits.

Actually CW cars right now are shipping MINUS the center shock... ;) and FWIW My cw car uses an HPI shock...he he he..
BA Motorsports 02-03-2006, 03:02 PM I Agree Ship The Kits Without The Center Shock, There Are Alot Of People Wanting This Car!!!!
I agree, I got a HPI shock ready to bolt on that bad boy anyway, just waiting on the car.
Xpressman 02-03-2006, 03:22 PM Does KSG still make the conversion? I remember when they first came out they had the full kit and a conversion for the slider.
I don't think KSG sold the conersion did they? I know Rob Murdock was getting all parts and making conversion kits but I don't think KSG actually sold a conversion kit. It would be nice if they sold this as a conversion so all of us with the original car could upgrade without getting a whole new car!! But then again I could use another car so I don't run my concrete ride on the rug all scratched up!!
latemodel100 02-06-2006, 09:12 PM So can someone explain the difference between the old and new? It is still a CS right or are we talking about a completely different new car?
Tractionroll 02-06-2006, 09:37 PM The chassis has 3 different t plate positions, right, center and left. The front end is adjustable with wheelbase and width.
BA Motorsports 02-07-2006, 07:21 PM So can someone explain the difference between the old and new? It is still a CS right or are we talking about a completely different new car?
This is a redesigned CS I guess you could say, it has a completely new designed beefed up front end with alum. locator plates that allows you to adjust front to back and side to side with different numbered alum. locator plates, also as mentioned above the middle/ right/ left T plate mounting positions, also in seeing the car it has a redesigned rear body mounting piece that adds strength to the alum. cross brace, not to mention the redesigned battery tray and one thing I really like is the pre drilled servo mount slots.
spydermans16 02-10-2006, 10:03 PM hows ksg doing at the birds?
As of now they are TQ in stock, 19T expert, and 4cell mod. Ofcourse everyone is so close that anyone could bump it up in the last round. All the cars are represented well.
Raptor_MS 02-11-2006, 11:25 AM Glad to see them BLUE boyz turned up the heat!

Hi guy, i try my new KSG this week-end and wow!! this car is impressive...i qualify 5A and finish 3...but i was involved in wrech in the beginning and put me 1lap down...but when i restart i was in front of the 2nd position and was able to stay there up to the end...and sometime during the main i was able to close the gap with the winner who was in front of me!!
i have some problem with my motors during pratice so i wasn't able to focus only with the set-up of the car...but next time i m sure this car will put me in the winner circle!!

ovalrc 02-21-2006, 09:14 AM Maybe someone close to the action can answer this. Any word on the possibility of a conversion kit? It'd be nice for those of us that already own KSG's. Thanks, Bill
BMCALLISTER01 02-21-2006, 05:59 PM Are the new kits out yet?
Slider 02-22-2006, 07:51 AM NO not yet.

awhite 02-22-2006, 11:48 AM I talked to Andy today he said there would be a conversion kit available. It will be the first of March or maybe mid March before they will be available.
That would be great, that is the only way I will upgrade both of my cars. I can't wait to get one...except the rug season is almost over so I will until next season.
ovalrc 02-22-2006, 08:29 PM Awesome, can't wait, thanks guys.
Mayhem 02-23-2006, 08:07 PM i've got a problemwith my orig. KSG car I hope you guys can help with. I was changing the car from offset to standard. I moveed the T-plate over 1 set of holes, changed the RR hub, moved the shock studs to the left 1 set of holes in the top plate, yet the RR shock is compressed more than the LR shock when the pod is level? I am using a symetrical T-Plate, and using the 1st and 3rd holes from the left on the top plate. Something is not right. Can i use a symetrical T-Plate? Do I need a different top plate or bottom plate? WHich holes to use in the bottom plate? I've lokked at this car for an hour and cant figure it out for the life of me. I prefer to drive them rather than build them :) The shocks are exactly the same length also .Thanks
rhodopsine 02-23-2006, 11:22 PM Can you post a pic? I looked at mine and I can't figure out how you can have this result.
On the bottom plate, you have to use the left set of holes, as on the top plate. You should have no troubles having your shocks centered.
Martin Paradis
what t-plate comes with the ksg slider? .63 or .75 ?
Slider 02-24-2006, 08:12 AM slaz. it is a .063

ovalrc 02-26-2006, 09:12 PM Marshalls Hilltop Hobbies Cabin Fever race this past Saturday, 19 turn class TQ, new track record (since they've gone to the Ultrabird motor in 19 turn ), and A main win, with the old car, can't wait to see what the new car will do. Thanks for a great car, Bill Bombard

are you refering to the carbon fiber piece on the left side, were there is the little tab for mounting the on off switch.
because i noticed this weekend that mine bends outwards when you put pressure on that side shock.
Spoiler 02-27-2006, 04:09 PM No the alumnium shock cross brace underneath that the carbon fiber pieces mount too
Slider 02-27-2006, 04:37 PM Spoiler. D&C Concepts.makes that, Lefthander R/C. or Murdock R/C.
Do you know if you have the older cross brace? The older cars had a cross brace that had more holes than the ones they have now.
BA Motorsports 02-28-2006, 03:16 PM Are the new kits out yet?
A quote from Andy today, "finishing up on a few odds and ends right now. It looks as if it will be the first to middle of March. Getting closer every day".
Spoiler, shoot me a PM or an email with your ph# I can help you out.
Spoiler 03-02-2006, 06:54 PM you got mail CB
