Oval, the whole point of the matter is the marshall was told to put your car on it's roof so he could continue to do the job he was supposed to. Walt does not allow cars to be thrown across the racing surface or marshalls to work on the cars in the middle. Most of your larger events have the same rules. As far as guys taking other guys out every race, the only answer I have for that is maybe the next time you come to run we will bump you up to a more experienced level of racing (not novice) where you can expect more from the racers. I am sorry if I offended you I was not trying to put you down, only trying to explain you complications.

Good drivers can make any car fast, but good cars make great drivers.
I have both and they are both fast.

same thing at our track. with the exception of a new record, one guy bought one, now 2 have them, 3 claim they ordered one. I have to admit, I'm NOT an slider chassis fan at all, but this car I like.
Might buy one some day, But I'm a cheepo. I'll wait till the price comes down...hopefully:D

hey guys, why dont you just buy a new car but the same one?? you know, if your running a hyperdrive then buy a new one identical to the one you are racing and see what happens, i garuntee that you will be faster with just a new car all together, not to say the KSG isnt good but just try a new one of the same make and model of what you already have, just a thought???? Its not all the ksg car, every car is fast just have to get it there!!!! Just food for thought!!!!

Sunday was my first time driving it with a good set-up, Danny B's. I changed a few things, samll things for the way I drive and this week when I ran it, it was fast!! I made a few small changes to the car during the day and hopefully a few more will get it even faster. I TQed at our track, something I have have never done I don't think, and in the mainm if it weren't for some stupid moves on my part easily woudl have won it. The car was over a tenth a second a lap faster than everyone else in the race. I can't wait to go back and try again but this time I am going to get a good start and then have some patience in traffic. Can't wait to get back up there and try it again. The only bad thing is now everyone is ordering these cars.

Mario M. :dude: Marrio, going buy what you just sugested, would you have ever tried a hyperdrive? not to put you down, or put down any car company. certain designs come to market, that have potential. the traits of that design can either help, or hinder a driver, depending on his ability to tune, the car amd how the design supports his/her driving style.
Kinda like you, not particulary careing for the 700 E.A.S.E.( that is what you told M), it just dosen't suit your particular, style.
I think the 510 BT is a tuff customer to beat myself, and If I were goning to make a decission to buy a car today...based on what information I have right now, it would be a 510 BT. not because I feel it's supierior to other cars, but it suits my style of driving, and tuning abilities, I think the extra adjustments on most sliders would be waisted on me, just more parts to possibly come lose and add weight to the car, but that is me.
I hate to tinker at the track, which is waht a slder demands, and uses as a strngth to be "all it can be" on 99% of tracks...provided the driver can adjust it properly:dude:

Oval I believe that any driver can setup any car with the right knowledge and parts to do so. I love the 700 hyperdrive I just have so much time and efort involded in my 510 i dont wanna switch. I know from seeing the 700 it is a great car, me and Barry talked for almost an hour when this car came out and i told him he had a really great design. I just didnt want to spend the money and buy another car and find the setup for it. My fellow team driver Frank P. has a 500 sse and loves it to death. He has had both 510 and 700 cars and he is like me, found a car he likes and stickes with it, but i will be ordering a new 700 this summer because i wanna learn more about the car and i believe it is going to be the car to go to. It has great flat track characteristics and is very good on the bank, despite what people say about it being flexy or not, I was having a hard time at first keeping up with one at are local track. But all in all from the 500 to the 510 to the 700 I wouldnt be affraid to run anyone of those cars at a national level and not have confidence that it couldnt win, or else i wouldnt be running for Barry. Truth is ive seen the KSG and yes its a great design but so is the Hyperdrive. When it comes down to it, these cars are all the same to a POINT, sure some have different things here and there but one thing is true, 4 tires, 5 springs and they all have batteries and motors. Thats what i was trying to say. Instead of hurrying out and buying on of these cars, look at your car and see what needs replaced, maybe the chassis is worn out and is tweaked or other things need replaced, I dont know, all im saying is the KSG is a good car but dont forget about the company's that have been here for a long time too, and they are good too!!! I guess its whatever you perfer and for me its a hyperdrive car, and I dont look to be switching anytime soon!!! Thanks Oh and Oval, sorry i didnt answer your question, Yes, Rick was trying to get me to run a hyper before i did and i was just to stupid to listen to experience. I met Mr Hill at the 2002 Nationals and let me tell you he had something to do with me switching from what i was running to a hyper. I knew the car was great cause Rick spanked me everyweek with his, but after meeting Mr. Hill and talking with him for a little bit, I wanted to be apart of such a well organized team and himself and Barry are awesome people, I can call Barry at work and he doesnt even say hello, he says hey Mario whats up, I seen it was you on caller ID. To be that nice to someone he hasent even met before, that is a Class Act. Hope i answered your question, gimmy a shout back, Later, Mario M. :dude:

I strongly Disagree! The KSG and the hyperdrive are nothing alike. I have owned both and the KSG is twice as fast for me and not near as tempermental to small changes as the 0700. But it is a matter of opinion I guess.

Mario
I somewhat agree of what your saying.but if you go and do you weekly maintnance on your car now it will stay fast.. but then again every car as its point. its point where it isnt possible to go any faster. then its time to try something else. i liked my KSG more than my hyperdrive the first time i put it on the track. i used the same set-up from my hyperdrive. and i was ALL hyperdrive before this KSG. and KSG isnt anyone new Andy was with Racetech so he knows hes stuff obviously dont seem like anything out of the blue to me. Someone correct me if im wrong there. but it seemd to me someone knows their stuff.
talk to you guys later

probably. My 700 car was to hard to set up from track to track. I would have been better off driving with a blind fold. It just wasn't comfortable, but who knows I might go back to the 700 for concrete. They are both paid for know what I mean?

Hey guys good to see we can support different car co. I guess its just preference, I like hypers and you guys like the KSG, the important thing is they are both gonna be here for a long time, so we have all the resources we need, hope i didnt start anything, I was just adding some food for thought, hope to see you guys do well in any car you drive, talk to you all later, Mario M. :dude:

Very isight full, thank Mario, you put it how I wish I could have, good job. Lots of great cars out there, hyper dirve o me dosent have a bad one in the bunch, KSG, has done a remarkable job with their new car as well. MY son loves sliders, I see the usefullness of the available tunning options, but to me, at least right now...I'd be lost...probably tune my fat self, right into the boards....maybe some day, but for now I hae too pass, unless I get it to tinker with for a long while on practice days, before I try to race it.
too much car for me....but very fst inthe right hands:wave:

seems to hve potential for the right track, not sure, but looks like a veledrome canidate to me. I know Bruce triplett likes to run the chassis with a 510 rear pod for 4 cell classes on short tracks at times. weight distribution thing If I remeber corectly.
I lie the rear pod, and Obviously, Josh Smith, of KGB, thinks highly of it too..LOL! lots of easy access.imitation is one of the highest forms of complementing someone.

Chris, I got started last night, everything is beveled, the rear is complete, one of the standoffs for the xpndr mount is stripped. All shocks are built, I just need info on how much to shave off of the streering arms. Once that is done I can mount the servo and other electrics. I will not run the KSB this weekend, to much to perfect. If the snow is still here call me I can provide transportation.

Hey Chris, I guess you saw 07 will not be there Sat. I will do batteries mid week and motors today. 07 ran 44 with the monster so it is posible just two weeks ago we were running 42 at this rate 46 is possible by the ARCOR Open in stock. Despite the lack of skilled or even quilified drivers in stock I shall return next sat for another crack at 45 with the KSG. I belive that would be four track records held by KSG, I wonder if we could run Spec with it just to lock up KSG domination. Call me later, Michael

The Monsters have all been re-worked should have plenty for both of us. Per our conversations you should know the roll-out for stock. I am not going to subject the new car to stock I will practice 19t in it if Cummings paints the body this week. I will have to leave mid day Sat for the boys b-ball game. I plan on being there early to get practice time and then leave around 11:45 back around 3:45. I may need you to start my bat for me for the first heat. I will start cycling tues night so call me Wed for some numbers. Later, Michael

Chris, My batteries are getting better each week I cannot belive the numbers I am seeing. If you can drive it fifty is yours. I also found a secret to the monster but my lathe took a dump on me before I could prep all motors. Allen will hve me a new one Friday. I have converted the G-force to a Mac Attack but still need front end info from Eric to finish. I will finish cycling wed night and give you a call Thursday night. Fab is getting me some Kisbey's so I can practice "0" with the KSG. Later, Michael:thumbsup:
