Can someone tell me a good starting diameter for truing my tires? I only need them for practice and racing the first time so I would like to be a little on the big side.

Well if you want to run BIG>>>Id say 2.3...however most including myself woulfd not run a tire that tall....Typically I start at about 2.25... BUT Ill say this...It HURTS...I mean HURTS to take a new set of tires and true them down that small...but if you dont typically the car acts funny in the corners (typically tire wants to roll over) plus the tires have a tendency to chunk..

so if u true down a tire it has less tendency to chunk???

anyone know the ksg part number for the front end spacer kit? (to adjust ride height?)

As far as I know they are still not sure about a production date. End or first of year if at all.

Anyone else have any word on the chassis release date?

I have heard that it may not even be a production car for sure. So it may never come out to the public.

Was wondering what your thoughts are concerning the KSG stock "pinned" diff? I am thinking I would like to replace it with a "D" ring diff.

What do most guys run? If most do change to the "D" ring diff...........what would be the best setup to get............?

I use the pinned diff rings, cause they are easier to find............I like the d-rings but just couldnt make that change.....too many hubs and axels to use up first...one is just as good as the other...my pennies worth.Jeff Carapellatti

I used my dremel tool with a cutoff wheel and converted mine to take the D ring. It's not that difficult, I did the same to the axle. Just a thought, this way those nothing to buy, except the rings.

Qualified 2nd and took down the win in the A main in 10th modified at the Winterblast warm-up this past Sunday at K&N R/C speedway in Connecticut. Dahm I love this car. Hopefully more news to follow.

Antonio, buddy, how's it goin', I've been running this car for sometime now, solid chassis at K&N in 19 turn. I run the slider everywhere else, r/c madness, Maximus, and Marshalls. We don't get to run mod much anymore, but at K&N in mod I like the slider better than the solid. What tires should I be running that will help me to speak french? LMK, I'd like to become multi-ligual, all it takes is the right tires, who knew? Looking forward to seeing you guys next month in Maine. Take care and have a good holiday season.

Stock also 19 turn in 12th scale.We run alot of asphalt here locally.Was thinking three pinks and a right front black in stock.12th scale pinks and purples.Just wanted someone who had luck with one our another.

dave, go offset on the pod

my buddy runs offset and he switched it back to a straight up pod. He just couldn't get it to be fast through the turns. Just my 2 cents

I've only run the car in modified but this is what I ran at the 2003 ROAR nats, TQ and Win, I ran the car again for the first time a couple weeks ago at WOH in cinnci, It got around the track okay.

Long wheelbase, .018 front springs, 2 degrees camber R and L, Purple RF, Double pink LF.

.063 3/8 slot t-plate

no rake in the chassis

Gold Left side spring, Blue Right side spring, I ran a green TC3 spring in the center, it worked well cause it's shorter than the regular buggy springs we run on 1/10. Pre-load and rate really have to be determined based on how smooth the track is and how much steering is needed.

Off-set pod. Double pink rear tires.

Seem like everywhere I run that the car pushes center out, I pull the right front A-arm back about 10 thou-15 thou.If it's more of a on power push than drop the center shock angle down.Jeff

Moving batteries back will give you more steering center off

I am currently running TRC white rears and TRC black fronts. I would like to try some BSR tires. I run flat smallish carpet track.

Can anyone tell me which BSR tires match up to the TRC tires so I can get a starting point.

You might have to flip flop alittle, these are the basics though.........
They are a much freer tire than the TRC's, your overall set-up will be alittle different...........

This is the basic set-up I got from Kevin Koback.I've been running this basic set up and tweaking for track conditions.My cars been pretty decent all season.I perfer running a black RF,White LF,Pearl LR and a white RR tire though.
