Hi, I would suggest you buy a servo mount like the one Maverick makes, then you can adjust the servo as needed.

Center shock....loose fit in the center aluminum shock holder.............what do I use to keep it from moving around?... A piece of silicone fuel tubing do the job for the front of the center shock CrazyRonny :dude: Barooose 10-18-2005, 01:56 PM Wow, Cory Heft is with KSG. That should up KSG's stock around this part of the country. Congrats Cory, or should I say congrats KSG. pepe 10-18-2005, 04:45 PM Hi, I would suggest you buy a servo mount like the one Maverick makes, then you can adjust the servo as needed. Better yet, sell the KSG and go with the Maverick, far better machine. pmsimkins 10-18-2005, 06:29 PM Better yet, sell the KSG and go with the Maverick, far better machine. Well I'd say that falls in to the category of inappropriate for the product support forums. Do you Maverick guys get a buck for every plug you do? Kind of like how the NASCAR guys get X amount of dollars for every sip of Coke they take on camera? It gets really annoying and it is counter productive to getting people to purchase the car. pepe 10-18-2005, 06:54 PM No money, just the facts. LennyDude 10-18-2005, 07:09 PM Was wondering which way is the best to install the battery tray? The picture from the manual shows it mounted differently than the picture on the KSG website? Tractionroll 10-18-2005, 07:43 PM Was wondering which way is the best to install the battery tray? The picture from the manual shows it mounted differently than the picture on the KSG website? The picture you posted is correct. LennyDude 10-18-2005, 07:46 PM LOL.......... I posted 2 pictures......................which one is correct? Manual or website? Thanks :) Lenny burbs 10-18-2005, 09:19 PM Both pictures show the same way.. It only mounts to the chassis one way...Hope that helps burbs 10-18-2005, 09:21 PM Well I'd say that falls in to the category of inappropriate for the product support forums. Hurricane Racer 10-18-2005, 09:36 PM Maverick better than KSG? Id love to see that on the track. Maverick isnt even a full car kit, not even comparable to KSG. I agree, it was a post that doesnt belong in this forum. NH LennyDude 10-18-2005, 09:58 PM Thanks for the quick reply Burbs :) The reason I asked the question........I would like to know if mounting it one way or the other would make the battery tray any more prone to breaking? The manual shows the 3 "ears" mounted to the chassis and the battery tray slides. The web shows the 3 "ears" mounted to the battery tray and it slides on the chassis, just backwards. Thanks...................Lenny Tommygun43 10-18-2005, 10:05 PM Was wondering which way is the best to install the battery tray? The picture from the manual shows it mounted differently than the picture on the KSG website? wow good eye lennydude. The piece that mounts between the chassis and battery tray are reversed in the 2 pics. I have mine like the pic on the left, but either way will work fine. You might want to put .020" washers under the tray mount and chassis to raise it up a tiny bit, it will make the ride height closer side to side and allow the car to be lower in the rear overall. The trays sag alot with the battery in them. KSG's are sweet. All pan cars are just hopped up 10L's though. Good luck. vwal 10-18-2005, 11:15 PM The slider part can be mounted 2 different ways, not sure if it matters or not, but the tray can only go on one way. . I run mine with the tray mounted solid and it slides on the chassis side. Don't know if it matters or not. Good idea on the washers....never thought of that and may have to try it with these heavy cells we run now they will sag even more. So, since Cory is KSG now do KSG supporters get a better deal on cells???? On the maverick deal....I got in trouble for that very same thing...not very cool either. I won't buy a maverick now just because of that....I will stick with my KSG!! burbs 10-19-2005, 01:42 AM So, since Cory is KSG now do KSG supporters get a better deal on cells???? ! lefthander is your only source for them LOL.. ask hays but i dont think Sr is on a ksg anymore.. pmsimkins 10-19-2005, 10:38 AM he will be for carpet i believe Bill Johnson 10-19-2005, 08:45 PM The slider part can be mounted 2 different ways, not sure if it matters or not, but the tray can only go on one way. . The other way (Tray sliding, not Bracket) you can flip that both ways. One way you can move the tray all the way forward (Where the Tray and Chassis Butt up against eachother flush, just behind the LF arm mount), or flip it the other way, and you can slide the tray way back (Pretty much hitting the LR tire)............. vwal 10-19-2005, 11:50 PM The way I have my tray it will go all the way forward, but I have a huge BL speedo sitting back there so it sitting with the screws straight across from each other I believe. I just got some KSG stuff from them, but I also got a few SMC packs so I missed my chance...if only I had found out a week sooner Cory was going to KSG!!! I think I am going to like that new body mount deal. You can now slid the posts side to side, I had to grind on the stock ones to do that!! Only thing is they need to sell the shock mounts separate from the body mounts now. I wonder if they have looked at doing a one piece shock mount also, that would really make that cross brace sturdy then. I wonder if KSG is listneing.....or maybe I should ask someone if they have already done this!!! Roadsplat 10-19-2005, 11:58 PM ....... I think I am going to like that new body mount deal. RC crazyronny 10-20-2005, 01:00 PM The place to mount the personnal transponder on the new bumber plate is awsome. Very well made.... to bad I have the old version... CrazyRonny Hurricane Racer 10-20-2005, 01:48 PM The rear graphite body mount/cross brace support is available today. Give Lefthander-rc.com a visit or a call - they have them. I went by hays and bought mine this weekend.. not ony can you slide the mounts, but it is one piece of grafite now instead of two little ones.. it strenghthens the aluminum as well.. bbrcracer 10-21-2005, 05:21 PM anybody have a good blank setup sheet... Where can you get them and what all do you need? LennyDude 10-23-2005, 04:17 PM Which T-plate are most guys using? Need to get some backups. Thanks Lenny LARCGuy 10-24-2005, 02:31 PM Have a handling bug that I can't seem to get rid of. I am racing on a small flat asphalt track that has seen a few years of weathering (Outdoors). The car enters great, but always breaks to the left exiting turns 2 and 4. If I could get the car to drive straight on power off the exit of turn 2 and 4, the car would be fast. I am running BSR XX Pink RR & LF, BSR XX Purple RF & BSR X Pink LR Front Wolfe Standard Springs - RF Green, LF Red Rear Assoc Side Springs LR Blue, RR Blue Center Shock HPI, Green Assoc Spring, Length 2.95 tip to tip Any tips? Thanks! Tommygun43 10-24-2005, 02:34 PM If your not running offset pod try that, those are exact symptoms of centered pod. erock1331 10-24-2005, 02:41 PM Any tips? Thanks! First try a BSR Green LR tire, if still no drive off the corner then try a Green RR too. Also use Red Dot Tire dope on them. And go up to a Silver Copper Center spring. MIKE VALENTINE 10-24-2005, 03:14 PM Gold Right Rear Spring Would Also Help That Condition. LARCGuy 10-30-2005, 02:28 PM Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have a race coming up next weekend. Looking forward to solving the handling problem. Kenwood 10-31-2005, 08:47 AM OK on a KSG XCS car.. Flat track racing.. Im technically running the long wheelbase... How much further back are you guys setting the RF..As in how many thousandths behind the LF... ??? Just curious for a good starting point.. also which hole should I use for the side shocks and center shock as a starting point... SMOOTH OZITE track, 165 ft runline, med/high bite.. 19turn.. burbs 10-31-2005, 05:00 PM i would say no more then 80 thou back from left.. generally 60 thou seems to be the norm.. bottom hole for center shock, 2nd from bottom on sides.. this is what i have on my solid chassis.. Roadsplat 10-31-2005, 05:06 PM Mike ...you running KSG now or are you still using a Maverick? RC Danny B 10-31-2005, 05:51 PM I've never had to trail the RF to get the car to turn. bottom or second from the bottom on the side shocks, 3rd from the bottom on the center shock. Kenwood, drop me an email or pm i'll send you the set-up i have been using so far this winter. burbs 10-31-2005, 07:46 PM Mike ...you running KSG now or are you still using a Maverick? RC KSG for now.......Im running a Raptor pod i like the inline shocks.. did some mods to the pod.. i cut the speedo spot off.. so it fits pepe 10-31-2005, 07:56 PM So burbs you going the hybrid route huh? thought you were pretty much dedicated to the Mav? Kevin Koback 10-31-2005, 11:20 PM Kenwood, sent you a PM Kenwood 11-01-2005, 02:15 PM Kev PM back at ya, Danny> e-mail sent to you as well. BMCALLISTER01 11-02-2005, 07:17 PM Kenwood You running a KSG now? Man you dont know what you want to drive...lol I heard that there is a new chassis running for KSG that is kicking some butt up there in Cincy. I cant wait to come up and run with you guys. I probably ride up with Mike and Spencer reall soon! Brian Kenwood 11-03-2005, 08:52 AM Well lets just say Im testing ALL CHASSIS... Since I already have my snowbirds hotel booked I want to test some different cars and then whatever one I can get dialed I will buy an extra and thats what Ill run..Ill be honest...I got a deal on this KSG and wanted to try one just based on how Kevins looked on the track... I could not find this magical slot in the track that he was riding on with my pro3.. lol My custom works car is set up strictly for Banked racing..Im going to leave it that way because I will be running ovalmasters and then in akron for a while.. Koback has a new Prototype KSG..Im not sure what class he ran it in.. YES you should bring yourself up to WOH to run man...Spencer and Mike were getting the hang of it last time they were up.. I can help get you dialed pretty quickly if you show up early enough.. haysreeling 11-03-2005, 03:16 PM Sean, Does Tom have to grease the doors to get Kevins head through?:) Hays Jr Kenwood 11-03-2005, 03:23 PM Hey man I cant rag on kevin.. EXCEPT for the fact that the one week in the point series I finally bring something for Tim(points leader) and Kevin loans him some Freakish 19T to run.SOOO tim gets (20 points for breaking track record 50 points for TQ and then 50 points for the win>> . I never was able to build a motor with enough rip to keep up.So kevins motor pretty much mathmatically eliminated me from the series...LOL bUT IT WAS JUST MOTIVATION TO KEEP WORKING ON THE CAR..Because of that I at least was able to win the main this past week... :) BUT FWIW Tom does have DOUBLE DOORS at the track entrance.. So plenty of room for the bigest of ego's.. MikeM 11-03-2005, 03:56 PM Why do you think we had to move out of the Eagles Club, and thats when he ran second every week! LOL Hey Kevin send me a PM sometime please BMCALLISTER01 11-03-2005, 06:52 PM Kenwood I will be up their next weekend for some fun. I will try and get their early to get the car dialed. What color tires are you guys running? Kevin Koback 11-03-2005, 11:22 PM [QUOTE=Kenwood] .So kevins motor pretty much mathmatically eliminated me from the series...LOL Just wait until I run 19t some week, and post a 66 4:01 on the board, which will mathematically eliminate you from breaking track record too!!!LOL Kenwood 11-04-2005, 10:50 AM tires are 3 pinks and a double purple rf.. 66 4:01 HMMM That will require you driving around myself and tim at least twice...Ill make sure to set up the car extra tight for some crash and bang action...LOL..JK AND ILL ADD THIS>> I HEARD WHAT JOHN DID LAST NIGHT... GOOD LUCK WITH THE 66...LOL.. Actually please do break the track record...Believe it or not I NEVER go fast when im winning...I get lazy when Im winning... When I get my Butt handed to me is when I go home and work on the car and motors etc etc.. Last year racing stock I proved it.. I had the car almost untouchable at home tracks..then I start traveling and got killed almost everywhere I went cause I did not stay sharp.. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
