Hi, I would suggest you buy a servo mount like the one Maverick makes, then you can adjust the servo as needed.

A piece of silicone fuel tubing do the job for the front of the center shock

Both pictures show the same way.. It only mounts to the chassis one way...Hope that helps

everyone is entitled to there opinion pat. the car is good, and guy like it... but i do agree, that should not be on the ksg thread,, a Pm would work ..But let the forum police worry about it..

The manual shows the 3 "ears" mounted to the chassis and the battery tray slides. The web shows the 3 "ears" mounted to the battery tray and it slides on the chassis, just backwards.

wow good eye lennydude. The piece that mounts between the chassis and battery tray are reversed in the 2 pics. I have mine like the pic on the left, but either way will work fine. You might want to put .020" washers under the tray mount and chassis to raise it up a tiny bit, it will make the ride height closer side to side and allow the car to be lower in the rear overall. The trays sag alot with the battery in them. KSG's are sweet. All pan cars are just hopped up 10L's though. Good luck.

You can run the tray "Bracket" the way you descibed. The other way (Tray sliding, not Bracket) you can flip that both ways. One way you can move the tray all the way forward (Where the Tray and Chassis Butt up against eachother flush, just behind the LF arm mount), or flip it the other way, and you can slide the tray way back (Pretty much hitting the LR tire).............

The way I have my tray it will go all the way forward, but I have a huge BL speedo sitting back there so it sitting with the screws straight across from each other I believe. I just got some KSG stuff from them, but I also got a few SMC packs so I missed my chance...if only I had found out a week sooner Cory was going to KSG!!! I think I am going to like that new body mount deal. You can now slid the posts side to side, I had to grind on the stock ones to do that!! Only thing is they need to sell the shock mounts separate from the body mounts now. I wonder if they have looked at doing a one piece shock mount also, that would really make that cross brace sturdy then. I wonder if KSG is listneing.....or maybe I should ask someone if they have already done this!!!

lefthander has them.. I went by hays and bought mine this weekend.. not ony can you slide the mounts, but it is one piece of grafite now instead of two little ones.. it strenghthens the aluminum as well..

anybody have a good blank setup sheet... I am workin on one for keeping notes inbetween runs... when i finish it i will post it...

Have a handling bug that I can't seem to get rid of. I am racing on a small flat asphalt track that has seen a few years of weathering (Outdoors). The car enters great, but always breaks to the left exiting turns 2 and 4. If I could get the car to drive straight on power off the exit of turn 2 and 4, the car would be fast.
I am running BSR XX Pink RR & LF, BSR XX Purple RF & BSR X Pink LR
Front Wolfe Standard Springs - RF Green, LF Red
Rear Assoc Side Springs LR Blue, RR Blue
Center Shock HPI, Green Assoc Spring, Length 2.95 tip to tip

If your not running offset pod try that, those are exact symptoms of centered pod.

First try a BSR Green LR tire, if still no drive off the corner then try a Green RR too.

Also use Red Dot Tire dope on them.
And go up to a Silver Copper Center spring.

Gold Right Rear Spring Would Also Help That Condition.

OK on a KSG XCS car.. Flat track racing.. Im technically running the long wheelbase... How much further back are you guys setting the RF..As in how many thousandths behind the LF... ??? Just curious for a good starting point..


also which hole should I use for the side shocks and center shock as a starting point... SMOOTH OZITE track, 165 ft runline, med/high bite.. 19turn..

i would say no more then 80 thou back from left.. generally 60 thou seems to be the norm..

bottom hole for center shock, 2nd from bottom on sides.. this is what i have on my solid chassis..

I've never had to trail the RF to get the car to turn.

bottom or second from the bottom on the side shocks, 3rd from the bottom on the center shock.

KSG for now.......Im running a Raptor pod i like the inline shocks.. did some mods to the pod.. i cut the speedo spot off.. so it fits

Since I already have my snowbirds hotel booked I want to test some different cars and then whatever one I can get dialed I will buy an extra and thats what Ill run..Ill be honest...I got a deal on this KSG and wanted to try one just based on how Kevins looked on the track... I could not find this magical slot in the track that he was riding on with my pro3.. lol

My custom works car is set up strictly for Banked racing..Im going to leave it that way because I will be running ovalmasters and then in akron for a while..

Koback has a new Prototype KSG..Im not sure what class he ran it in..

Hey man I cant rag on kevin.. EXCEPT for the fact that the one week in the point series I finally bring something for Tim(points leader) and Kevin loans him some Freakish 19T to run.SOOO tim gets (20 points for breaking track record 50 points for TQ and then 50 points for the win>> . I never was able to build a motor with enough rip to keep up.So kevins motor pretty much mathmatically eliminated me from the series...LOL bUT IT WAS JUST MOTIVATION TO KEEP WORKING ON THE CAR..Because of that I at least was able to win the main this past week... :)

BUT FWIW Tom does have DOUBLE DOORS at the track entrance.. So plenty of room for the bigest of ego's.. :thumbsup:

Last year racing stock I proved it.. I had the car almost untouchable at home tracks..then I start traveling and got killed almost everywhere I went cause I did not stay sharp..
