So what is everyone doing this summer? Running in a series, which one? If the new track opens in North Grand Rapids is everyone going to check it out?

Im going to race some races when i can, locally. Also going to do rock crawling. And if a new track opens up, i will definitely race there.

I went to Hesperia again today. Great turnout and a great time!! I will also run at BFG and Dukes when they get their tracks up and running. I love being outside in the dirt!!!!

I think some of our brothers in the GR an surrounding area's should come up and support the NMRCC track in Gaylord MI. We've been supporting GR area for atleast 4 years and have yet to see any of you at our races. Very disapointed to see PG closing. Hope to see some of you at the July 7th race in beautiful Gaylord MI.

Of course if you go up there, your going to have to slow down and let them keep up with you. Otherwise they get upset very quickly. If you want to have a great day or racing, let them win. Its amazing how that works! Just let them know Revo sent you and they will understand. Well, you might have to talk slowly for them to understand, but thats another story......:thumbsup:

I just want to put out there that I lost my cool on Saturday and said some things I shouldn't have. Don't know how much it matters to anyone, but I'm sorry for saying certain things, particularly to Uncle E. I don't know what had happened in the last year and a half when I was unable to race, do to a divorce and financial situation. I was there to support the going out race and felt attacked for something I really hadn't been a part of, because I hadn't even been there in so long. Anyways, sorry for adding to the drama to an already tough situation. Hope E you can find the joy in racing again.

Been a ton of fun running with you guys GNS. Even more fun trash talking in the pits, I enjoy all that just as much as the on the track action. As I said to Duck, I would like to try to hit a few outdoor tracks this summer. Got to see what I can do.

I just want to say I'm sorry to everyone and e for blowing up. I don't have anything against e I think he is a cool guy I just got mad when I drove up from kzoo to show some support and it wasnt anything like I thought it would be but I do now where your frustration was coming from and sorry for adding to it hope to see you guys around.

Hey there guys/gals...sorry to hear about PG closing up shop. I was really hoping to get down there and trade some sc paint with y'all. I'm sure this was covered by Revo and E extensively so I'm sorry for adding more possible confusion to the mix here, but what about re-opening PG under a membership type of program? Potential members would pay a yearly membership rate and receive free track time for practice and club races, but would still pay regular race fees for larger events. The membership would also form a "board of directors" so to speak and would have somewhat of a say on track matters.

Once again I apologize to E and/or Revo for bringing this up....just spit balling a bit and see if it sticks. Sucks to have such an awesome facility close its doors because of the "bad seeds". Trust me...we have them up here in Gaylord too...boils our blood as well.

All the dirt from inside and outside the building is gone already. By next week there won't be any signs of an RC track ever being their. So it is a bit to late to go back. On the membership idea, we were doing that for a few months. $60 per month unlimited track use.

Man i cant wait to get back racing with everyone. I feel so out of the loop only racing like 2 or 3 times in the past year... lol.

Uncle E and I talked about the video the morning after I put it up. I told him I watch it and its like watching a close friend die of cancer. I want nothing more than to pretend the track is still there and throw my equipment in my car and go racing. But the fact is I'm a bit spoiled by what we had at PG. Most tracks are only open on weekends around here right now. And the one that is open during the week is the most special place on earth and make me break into song when I think about it! Might have to check with Tazz and see if his backyard is open to go play in.

Revo would you please keep your perception of the other local tracks to yourself. I find it very disrespectful to the racers. I've been there and the group of racers are good people. When you post things like this it shows disrespect to the guys that love this hobby and race at those places.

+1 on that, if you dont want to race somewhere fine dont but keep your insults for the water cooler at work or the high school lunch room.

Wow I just heard about pg closing. It's sad to see good things go. But that's what always seems to happen to the cool stuff. Thanks again for providing a top notch race facility to enjoy and bring me back to the sport. Take care!!

Proving Grounds may be gone, but the friendship, brotherhood and camaraderie lives on in each of us. Wednesday, June 20th starting at 6:00PM we would like to invite all of our brethren out for dinner and beverages at Frankie V’s restaurant / bar located at 1420 28th Street SW Wyoming (located right next door to the old Studio 28 movie theater). The food here is amazing, tons of TV’s to watch all the games on, and of course a bar for those who require a cool beverage. Believe it or not, Frankie V’s was the birthplace of Proving Grounds several years ago. We have come full circle. Be ready for lots of joking around, laughter, and just good old fun. Thanx in advance...
