Any ideas on a front/rear set for my sc10? I ran snipers rear and wishbones up front last weekend. Could'nt get rear traction through all conditions.

Planning on coming over this Saturday.

Anybody have any tire suggestions for 2wd buggy and 2wd SC?

Is the track watered throughout the day?

Thanks!

Was in the neighborhood this afternoon and had the chance to stop by and check it out.

That drivers stand is in the clouds, gotta be the tallest I've ever seen!

The tracks look good and this area seems like a very nice spot for your outdoor racing programs.

Maybe I can get back down this way and have a truck to play with.

Until then race on!

Hey guys, I've been selling off some extra on-road stuff as I anticipate making a switch to off road. What are some of the more competitive / larger classes that normally run? I'm hoping to stay 1/10th scale.

Due to the extremely dry and hot conditions JCP has elected to postpone the Indiana Outdoor State Race until the weekend of September 15th in hopes of some rain and cooler temps. Under the current dry conditions, track building has become extremely difficult. JCP apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have our fingers crossed we will be able to deliver a better experience for our racers. Thank you,
JCP Staff

Mod Buggy and Pro 2 SC are where its at with two full heats strong every night now. Both are very competitive with some clean wheel to wheel action. Im extremely imprest with the Pro 2 SC guys. Sunday and Tuesday were the best SC races I may have ever called. The respect for each other on the track along with the super close racing has been a joy to call and watch..

Also I have to say that there are a couple of guys coming to JCP with slashes racing the pro 2 sc class and are VERY competitive. Ive been saying all along that the slash could compete. Good job slash racers!!!

Yeah, but you don't want to know what I've got in that Slash... ;) Probably could have bought two SC10s. But I save money on parts thanks to my two oval Slashes and my two son's Slashes.

I was let down by my battery, electronics and tires on Tuesday. Everything BUT the Traxxas parts.

I want to say thanks to everyone that helped me on Tuesday. Good racing. I think I have everything sorted and will be back next Tuesday with tires that will work.

Chad,

My boys (6 & 8) have been begging me to run their Slashes on dirt.

When is the best time for them come run some practice when you are open but the least amount of people are there?

Do you anticipate having any stock Slash races as the season gets busier. The older one is probably good enough to run in that class.

The Tuesday night show ran a little over last week. I take blame for this as race director. The breaks I took between rounds was a little to much. From now on We will run the qualifying rounds back to back without a break. Depending on what time the quals are over will decide how long, or if we take a break at all. Reasoning for this is to get the racers out the door as close to 10pm as possible...
Sundays however will remain a little more relaxed. We do have three rounds of quals on Sundays, however the first two quals will be ran back to back allowing for breaks later in the day. We WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANYONE durring the first two rounds.
Keep in mind this is racing and having your equipment ready when your supposed to be up is part of racing.
This will start being inforced to make racing more enjoyable for everyone involved...
Thanks JCP Crew...

How many trucks make a class?

chadtastic
08-15-2012, 03:56 PM
We have been allowing 3 to make a class but if the turnout continues to grow the way it is we will may make it 5....

We had 50+ entries last night. 2 heats of Pro 2 SC, Mod Buggy, and Pro 4 SC. A full heat of Slash along with 6 E-Buggies and were missing around 5 regulars for that class as wellThe program ran untill 11:15 which is a little to late as we lost a few entries for the mains. I ran every round back to back with the exception of a 5 minute break to sort going into the mains. We need to be more efficient getting to the track to marshal and to race on Tuesdays as everyone is on a limited schedule. I have a few more things to try. If they dont work we may have to start shortening the program. Something like 4 minute quals instead of 5, or maybe eliminating a round of qualifying. The last thing I want to do is shorten the program!!!

Next Tuesday we are going to change some things. You now have 2 minutes to get to the track to race and everyone must go directly from the stand to the track to marshal. DO NOT RETURN TO YOUR PIT AREA!!! If you have to race back to back. Take both cars race ready out to the track with you. Also the next heat up to race needs to be standing in line for the stand with cars in pit lane ready to go while the previous race is running...

I KNOW I KEEP THRATENING THIS BUT STARTING NEXT WEEK... WE WILL START WITHOUT YOU NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!

All this being said. IMO I think everyone did very well being on time for the most part except for marshaling...

08-15-2012, 03:57 PM

We will make an exception for the novice drivers... 3 makes a class no matter what...

I dont feel it was any one thing or anyone's fault. I just want to make the program more efficient on Tuesday nights to get guys home at a decent time. We had 8 heats at 5 minutes each. Thats 40 minutes of racing per round. We are losing allot of time between heats. There is no reason we couldnt have had the quals done by 9pm yesterday. We're wasting 10-15 minutes per round. That adds up fast...

All this being said. I dont want to take the fun out of things or stress out trying to get done at a certain time. If attendance continues to grow the program will get later and later. Nothing we can do about that but aware of this and to get everybody on the same page so we can be as efficient s posible...

Sundays will remain more relaxed....
