Jconcepts 3d's worked well for me last weekend. I'm not sure what others are running.

Ok here it is. JCP will be doing a Thur night indoor race known as, Thursday Night Thunder. Classes will range from Pro to novice, depending on the turn out. Price will be $15 across the board for everybody. This will be electric and Nitro combined, unless there is enough to make a class.
There will be 2 5min heats and a 7min main. Practice will start at 6pm and racing to start at 7pm sharp. Racing will be done by 11pm so that everybody can still make it home at a reasonable hr. This means that if there is a big turn out then there will only be 1 heat and then the Mains, unless other wise said.
All classes are welcomed to come out and race.

This will be a trail by error thing so if anybody has anything to say please feel free to voice your opinion and ask questions on the form or at the drivers meeting. This will not work unless everybody chips in to help out. So PLEASE do not go around saying stuff. If you have anything to say bring it to somebodies attention, and it will be addressed to the best that JCP can.

I'm sure things will be added, so check back here and on the FB page for updates.
The first race will be held on Thur night of March 1st.

Bring out those Stadium Trucks this Saturday. I know a few guys from down south who are coming up and bringing them. Should be a good turnout in the Mod Buggy and Mod Stadium Truck classes.

The track surface is almost 100% clay. We have ran it both ways this year of bone dry and grooved and watered to where slicks was the tire of choice. When the track was dry a clay tire was choice. Clay Switches, MC Suburbs, Pink HB Beams, Pink BK bars for the rear. Fronts were mainly MC Scrubs, Clay bobcats, and Pink Tapers. When it is watered all the time any of those tires ground down as slicks have been working.

Since the layout for the state champs race will be a fresh layout I would say Pink slicks or clay slicks for buggy and a small pin clay tire or slicks for SC as well. I have had good luck with SS wishbones and SS Rebars on my 2wd SC too. The one real good thing is that there is not 1 certain tire that stands out over the others.

Haven't raced since 2005... Hard to believe i's been that long. Anyhow, raced this past saturday. Had a great time. Great racers and nice facility. Can't wait to race again.

However we would love to see some pro 2 sc, Mod buggy, and Mod ST come out and play. Nitro Pro Buggy, and Pro Arena Truck are welcome as well...

We will also race on Saturdays in the event that the Midwest Monster (JCP South down in Johnson County State park) gets rained out. More info on that will come later...

Yes the outdoor track is at Johnson County park.

I would pick the Associated or Losi trucks if you are getting into SCT racing, mainly becuase of parts support and setup help from the local racers.

When will the indoor racing start. If we can free up some time we may try to make it down to the park to look things over. Last time we ran offroad was at planet, so its been awhile.
