View Full Version : K & B III "The Outback" new track in northeast OHIO 2011 season
bennyboy 03-20-2011, 12:54 AM Well, I have a question, and from the story I heard today it needs answered....:p.. I have appointed myself to ask the hard questions, that need answered for this upcoming racing establishement.
What kind of "facilities" will be available, as in a real Port-a-pot, or some hand built cardboard shack with a 20 gallon tupperware container? From a reliable source (no name, but we had a memorial race for him at Ryan's last year), I was informed of a certain "facilities" at a track, years back, that transcends all ideas that one can conjure up, not only in design, but..How was it emptied?
Chim, I hope you can elaborate, as to your side of the story, and put the lid on this, well odiferous, question.......

chim13 03-20-2011, 07:40 AM We will have a true port-a-potty at the OUTBACK. Yes in the old days there ways a amish made outhouse. And there was a certian track duty that no one wanted to tackle. And yes many times i had to Glove up to my shoulders and put on a mask to do the deed:freak::freak::freak: Thanks for reminding me about that i was repressing that memory, now i have to go back to the Dr. for those little green pills LOL:tongue::tongue: Hey Frank i am sure that we can find it for you if you prefer that one over the the new rented one LOL

chim13 03-20-2011, 08:18 AM Thank you very much, that is the best compliment that anyone can give me, I could only try to compare, and that is a very tall order:thumbsup:
chim13 03-20-2011, 08:04 PM The OUTBACK had its first newborn today a beautiful 20ft long pit lane. All the little guy needs now is some cloths by the way of carpet on the ramps and something to keep it safe from the rain, i think that a nice coat of K & B orange should do the trick. Also i need to tie up a few little minor details on the ramps, but for the most part he is all ready to have some toys running across him. So until i can get to the finishing details done he is all covered up with a nice tarp to keep him safe:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: I have to thank my wife for helping me all day today, and Jim M for bring over 2 12ft 4x4's which gave us some more strength in the legs.:):)
scottymac 03-21-2011, 02:54 PM Track #2! Only 3.5 hr drive, but looks like it will be worth it!
Dietz 03-21-2011, 08:08 PM Chris, you might want to get some cross braces on the pit lane. If Chops were to trip and fall into it,it probably would colapse.(sorry chops )
CJ Weaver 03-21-2011, 08:14 PM Chris, you might want to get some cross braces on the pit lane. If Chops were to trip and fall into it,it probably would colapse.(sorry chops )
Or when Chops drives his 1/8 Scale into one of those 4x4s going 102938mph.
I'm definitely going to make it up a couple of times this year! By the way...all of those layouts are sick. I want jumps! No more CORR Tracks...

icameron 03-23-2011, 05:39 PM Hey guys, sadly today is the first time i've seen the HT page about this track, and I have to say that I'm pretty excited about it. The once a month racing should make it very easy to make it out there. With ARC, The Outback and Oakhill all out that way it looks like i'll be doing a bunch of road trips down 90 this summer.
drbob93 03-24-2011, 02:08 PM Or when Chops drives his 1/8 Scale into one of those 4x4s going 102938mph.

dago.on22s/losi 03-28-2011, 03:08 AM Everything sounds good, the track looks sweet,& I don't think the tracks to far for me. I'll check & ill see everyone there.
snwchris 03-28-2011, 07:24 AM It probably about 10-15mins from ARCS indoor track, more then likely would take the 193 exit in Kingsville, which is two exits past 45 or the ARCS exit.
bennyboy 03-28-2011, 08:20 AM Coming from South or West:

Rt 84 east approx 3.5 miles to Dibble RD
Turn right on Dibble rd. Dibble Only goes to right (South).
Travel Approx. 1.5 miles and The Outback will be on your left.
Coming from the East;
Rt 90 to Rt 193 North exit
Rt 193 North, 1.0 mile to stop light, turn left heading west on Rt 84

snwchris 03-28-2011, 08:29 AM What about the scenic route thru the Fjord... lol guess that depends on water level, which lately has been running pretty good. Was done there last week and there were a few full size trees laying across the fjord as well as some stumps

Well Rocko it is like this. I am funneling everyone down Dibble past my home on there way to "The OutBack". Ben and Sam have constructed some stop sticks(nails, glass etc) that will be placed, in the road in front of our home, on race days. A small fee ($20.00) will be charged to all racers Heading to The OutBack, to have the stop sticks removed, to allow safe passage. If passage is not secured monetarily, I will also be selling drinks and tire repair kits, again for a small fee. Air to blow up tires will be free. Webers will pay a little extra in fees....
Since I don't race, this should be some entertainment for me on race days.
There will be a time window for free passage past Moisoroza that will be posted on race day.
Seriously, Once a Month this Summer, this will be the track to be at.
Tim
bennyboy 03-28-2011, 01:59 PM Noticed some heavy equipment working at The OutBack today. May need to get into my stealth mode and obtain some video.
Tim
snwchris 03-28-2011, 02:30 PM No problem... I got 10ply tires on the new rig ;) and can easily just cut thru the ditch & the yard... LOL
bennyboy 03-29-2011, 07:47 AM Chim, Stopped over a took a video last night of the track area. Are the four stakes marking out the track area?
Tim

Stoffer 04-03-2011, 06:22 PM So I hear some of the driverstand parts have arrived.
chim13 04-04-2011, 12:02 PM yep we have all the stuff to build a drivers stand so that you can walk up one side and down the other. I really want to start building the layout this weekend if the weather lets me.:confused: I also talked to alot of guys this weekend at ryans race and there seems to be alot of interest in the OUTBACK so by the sounds of it we will have a great season. I had a excavating crew out last week and they moved the dirt closer to the track and also cut off the top soil on the area that the track is on so i have a nice clay base to start the build on. The guy moving the dirt told me that from the number of loads using a 20 ton dump that i have just over 360 tons to build the layout with I hope thats enough if not i have about another 300 ton of top soil that i can mix in to get it the way that i what the track to be. It really looks like track #2 is going to be the first layout, but i am going to throw in a twist to that layout, have to come out and see what it is.:wave:

Like I said we can chat again after The car laps that snake thing, or whatever you call it, a couple times at The Outback opener. Also, with all those sponsors you seem to have you should be careful how you present yourself. Putting the competition down is just not a very classy move.:dude:

JMPN02 04-09-2011, 07:49 AM what the date of opening day i cant find it
Opening day is scheduled to be May 1st. That is providing mother nature cooperates for the track build.:)
Stoffer 04-10-2011, 07:00 PM Chim edit your first post to include the schedule.
chim13 04-11-2011, 07:29 AM done and done:thumbsup:
chim13 04-11-2011, 09:12 AM OK Boys and Girls, the weather is not dealing me much of a hand but we will keep plugging along. So i thought that i would get things stirred up in this forum. I am offering up a free race day for the person who is the 150 post on this thread. But there are some rules you cant post back to back and you have to say something constructive, none of this ttt crap. So get the chatter going and you will earn a free race day no matter how many classes you run.
Update on the progress for the track, no work on the dirt yet:(:(, but the pit lane is now painted and this week the drivers stand is getting welded together, also we have a PA system in place and the new pump is on the way for the watering system:wave::wave:
We have all the machines to build the track layout as soon as mother nature stops taking a leak:tongue::tongue:
