Ok lets start it now....

Who all is planning to run this Sunday at HW and class?

I would love to run Nitro Touring and Nastruck if enough is interested, but I'll settle for the usual touring and Pro-Spec

My son will be running Legends

The above is pending what the wifey says of course :jest:

Well the track was not ready then. Also Butts is right there would be mud and dirt all over the track. From feet

Ok we could have dryed the entire surface but we only wanted to use the oval so why bother on the touring track. either way you aren't changing my mind we should have ran friday night!!!!!

I want to race, but I will probably be out of town due to Mother's Day...I got yelled at last year for not going to my mother in law's or my mom's....my wife is a mom though so whats up with that?? lol

I did at least call them though. I wont know though until Friday though I imagine. If I am in town I will be racing...missing the last 2 weeks has gotten the bug to biting me bad.

I think I've got the car dialed in pretty good. I kept up w/ Pilgrim-even spun him out because we were so close! lol Had 3 nitro racers (TC) run their cars this weekend & asked us when our next Sunday race was.

Who else is gonna be able to show up Sunday 5/9?

Phil I don't consider you an out-of-towner, you're a local Friday night regular. I was refering to all the people who come on the thread and whine that "why do we only race on Friday nights, waaa waaah waaah." And then none of them came for weekend races. I went to the second and third Sunday race that we had. I was only racing against the same guys that I race against on Friday's but paying the same amount, no plaques, no points, no lights, etc.

I will be alternating Fri./Sun. races after the points series. I will try to make some Sunday races and Friday night races..

As for being a  "cry baby",and yes I am a out of towner,as I stated in a previous post I would attend Sunday races, but due to the cost of racing, parts, and gas prices right now, holy smoke..I am barely making it to the track on Fridays..

When are you guys from HW coming back to Branford?
Bring some 4 cell stockers with ya!!!! And Nastrucks!!!!

 Ok, iam goina CRY now since i post alot on here and sinces iam a so emotional guy.

i did post about sundays alot,, for these reasons.
1 ,, i was asking when is the next sundays race,, no one knew the answer or just didnt want to say.
2 , its hard for me and tim to come down since he works until 530 on most fridays, unless he takes off early and during this time of year and his type of work is the bussiest now. so that is almost impossable.
3, i was getting emails from other drivers asking me.
4, me not working , and watching the three rugrats while my wife is working on fridays also made it hard on me to come down, but shes usually off on most sundays except one a month.

now friday,
i want be able to come down to race, have to do my preadmite deal at the hospital for my surgery on the 12 th,, and again my wife is working so she can take time of next week,to be with me during all that.,, so i got the kids agian.

guys i know i post alot on here, even tho the last year i havent raced there that much,, but hw was a place i have put alot ,, alot of laps in at. since 1989. shot even when i got able to walk again last year and couldnt even get up to the top of the driver stand but one time, with a cut from my chest to the bottom of my stomach and about three to four inches deep in some areas i was there packed with three rolls of thick guazes, thats how much i like being around some of yall guys and enjoy racing rc there.

yes i admit i raced at the carpet track every month. it was easier on me,, it was on a saturday so it was easier to get down and have a day of it, and the restrooms was easier on me to take care of my bag on my side,, you havent lived until you try to deal with that much less in a porta potty. hopefully after next week that be a thing in the past.

but guys i wanted yall to know ,, i do plan on coming back down to race again when i do get able to again,, so do all that yall can to get more racers, more classes, the light bulb up , some more gray hairs to john head about new ideals to tell hw owners,lol... so i can have something to look forward to when i get goin again.

take care fellas and have fun.

My new job at the power plant is making Friday racing harder and harder to do. But, until we start a Sunday points series, Sunday will never be a big draw. If we do that, I think that only the hard-core racers will run both days. The rest of us will pick one series and ignore the other. That will lower Friday attendance a little, but increase Sunday attendance much more.

Maybe we should compromise and race on Saturday nights. That makes it much more convenient to the people that work on Fridays while still letting us all run at night. Let the nitro guys have Sunday afternoon with the heat and the bright sun.

poooiiiinnnntss.... aarrrgggghhhh..... drooooool.... points brought me to every carpet summer sizzle race.. it brings me out here at HW. plus you get a piece of lamenated particle board to hang on the wall if you do well.

Its going to be so hot during the day though that you won't see me racing on Sunday's until November. Now a Saturday late afternoon/evening race once or twice a month.... ;)

Without points or trophies, Sunday racing is just a really expensive practice session!
