What are the times for oval practice there and days,price?Kevin- The times for practice for either oval or TC are the same as the store hours (Mon-Sat:10A to 8P/Sun:12P to 5P). Price is $5 for all day.

Dont forget everyone, Points racing friday night and then we're racing sunday too. Hope everyone comes out for some daytime action before it is given up on totally. Some people cant or dont want to race on friday nights so lets have a nice turn out. I too agree that the entry fee could be eased up on sundays since theres no points and therefore no plaques to buy or any other awards but none of us on here have any control over that now do we? Since we now have a pretty strong base of racers in Pro-spec, stock and 19t , anybody want to try 4cell open mod some race day/night? Hmmm? Who'd be the first to run a sub 6 second lap on the big track?

I was just telling Chris this exact same thing the other night. The classes are so big that it would be really cool to see an open mod class start up. I for sure would be hard pressed not to buy an oval car then lol.

I am currently working on another oval car, batteries finally came in (4cell), mods from the good ole dirt days (need work). I'll be ready to run something different.

What's the difference between Nastruck and the other three oval classes (other than the body, of course)?

I run a diff. setup on my L3 truck,they have alot less downforce than those of car,and it is a little slower,slower on the big oval would be better for beginners?

1st,2nd & 3rd place points finishers in all classes receive a plaque. The next Sunday race after the series would be May 9th? As for Nastruck,there may be a couple of people interested,but I'm not sure. (our trucks were 6-cell & stock motor) Last time we tried it,we started out w/6 drivers. After the 3rd race we had 3. When that series was done,we had 2 left. :(

Series would be nice,but allready slim on time for Friday nights though,what if the people wanted to run Nastruck during a Sunday raceday?

Mods are not good for beginners either,unless you put a fixed gear on them..:confused:

Let's go for it Nastruck race. Slap a truck body on your pan chassis and go. No need for setup just minor changes. Handling is alot different but fun.

Hey Kevin if you run truck at HW be sure to bring the transformer body. They would enjoy that over here.

Kevin, An additional entry at hw is only $5 on the same day/night. but I really think we're at the limit as far as classes right now. Plus I was in the store yesterday and one of the owners brought up getting the lights(more of them)put up soon. Jeesh it's only been since october now.

Well If we put more cars on the track per race we should be ok. What do we run now 6 or maybe 8 cars . why not 10 ?? the track is big enough. may need to learn to drive through traffic real quick. Or are we only putting as little as possiable out there so someone can break the track record every Fri.. , what happen to racing one another, fighting through traffic and fast pitstops... lol

I'm all for racers coming out and racing but they don't make Legends anymore how much longer are we going to do that class. If they break how are they buying parts??? 4-cell stock truck would be really fun to race and watch.

I believe we have plenty of time on Sunday...the only problem is getting the word out on which Sundays we race so the other races will know. Sunday, April 25, 2004 @ 2:00 pm race day. Some verify the time. I am not to sure. Sunday's race is usually like Friday nights w/the touring nitro(if enough). Also, this is suppose to be the Sunday the kids and/or begginners race too.

I agree that the sundays that are raced on should be a little looser and that the non mainline classes should be run then but there just has'nt been the turnout that was expected. The first couple of sundays we had fair turnout but it's dwindled to where the last couple have'nt had enough people show up to race at all. I dont get it at all as I for one dont like getting home at 1:45 friday night/saturday morning and I live just 20 minutes from the track. The problem is that it seems that no one wants to give up their sunday lawn duties or whatever. Lawn mowing is not nearly as fun as racing is.

I will come on Sundays when the points series is over,I will alternate Fri./Sun.

If we raced on sat or sun and not fri. then it wouldn't be an issue on how late we stay. racing until 1:00 am is way late. If you get up at 5;00 am then race until 1;00 am then I'm up almost 24 hours straight. Why don't we just friggin race during the day and have all day to take as much time as we need? I just don't get why we HAVE to do it on a Fri. night. Even in the friggin winter at when it's 30 below and snow flurries we would be friggin racing on fri. night?????? This is the only track that I have ever known that does this. And I just don't get it. :confused: And the reason noone shows up on sun is because they are still asleep from fri. night

If we want more racing on Sunday, then we need to organize a Sunday points series. Right now, Sunday racing means that you have to get the Passenger Side Air Bag to agree that you really NEED to race on Friday night (that's the points race) and then again all day on Sunday. Trying to justify this usually gets you "the look" and the "oh sure, go racing if you think you need to."

If we have a Sunday points championship, then some of us will probably just skip Friday night and concentrate on Sunday racing. I get up at 5 am on Friday too and the late night racing is tough, but its the only points series there is. Without the points on Sunday, its just practice!

But, if I had my choice, I really rather run on Saturday night instead of Friday night or Sunday afternoon.

Here is something else you can throw into the mix. There are only so many Sundays to go around . Branford , Echoconnee, both run on Sundays, and E. Dublin will also run on Sundays when it gets back up and running . What is RPM's schedule and the Fla. Series???

ok here is a break down of last friday night we had 8 races of which 6 where 4 mins and 2 where 5 min that's 34 min of racing if you set the computer for 3 min between races ad 18 min that's 52 mins for a round. if you start @ 8 pm 2 rounds (10 min in between you should be done by 11 pm instead we are starting @ 830 pm and ending at 12 30 am there is something wrong with that !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hart is the man in charge, just go to him and talk to him about it. Maybe he doesn't realize that people are upset. I don't think he reads the thread.

The only way to solve this,IMO,is to get/hire someone that is willing to run the races that,preferably,doesn't own an r/c vehicle. Back when I started racing,we had a guy that used to run the races/computer,tech the cars (what's that?) and held the raffle drawings. The whole program ran very smoothly & we got out at around 11-11:30 almost every Fri night. I know a lot of you aren't cussing the job that Tom,me,Johns Hart and Pilgrim are trying to do,but it's starting to get a bit old on us,too!

If anyone knows someone that may be interested,have them come up tomorrow & talk to Hart.

I have been online doing the webpage and message board since 3:30 this morning,gotta go to work @ 6:15,go to J-Ville to race @ 8,get home tomorrow morning around 2:30 a.m.,get up @ 5:00 a.m. and be at work at 6:15 again..
Shawn and George knows about the time that it takes to be a webmaster,and on a plus side I try to have everything posted after the races on Sunday..
Chris got to watch me do just a little bit of the 4 hour work I done on my website Sunday,and he doesn't want anything to do with it,LOL

Ouch! That hit got my attention also. It was right in front of me on the drivers stand and my car was going down the back straight so I kinda saw it without really looking at it if you know what I mean.

Racing today at the big track if enough people show up. If not there'll be practicing today at the big track. If not there'll be beer drinkingg today at my little garage. All that takes is one person.

I'm planning on touring'ing it(is that a word)today but I'll bring the other car too.
