davepull 04-14-2004, 10:02 PM jerry wants the 19t record David Butts 04-14-2004, 10:04 PM Hi Wade! Echeconnee 04-14-2004, 10:05 PM I am going to run 19t and 4 cell stock davepull 04-14-2004, 10:08 PM yah Wade when are you coming? I hear you georgia boys are susposed to be fast!!!!!! davepull 04-14-2004, 10:09 PM sweet clifford just what out for that butts (tm) guy he likes to cause trouble on the track. well its more like a moving chicane. David Butts 04-14-2004, 10:09 PM I guess its going to be late night or real early morning. I have to work that saturday morning oh well Eugene I feel for ya. After not leaving the track till almost 1:00 am last friday(saturday morning)I got up at 6:30 and went and worked 12 hours. I was a tired puppy saturday night. David Butts 04-14-2004, 10:11 PM Big Don is in da house now too. eeks! Echeconnee 04-14-2004, 10:11 PM Jam car maybe? What classes are y'all running? Echeconnee 04-14-2004, 10:13 PM I think I am going to run the KSG in Stock it was good in Daytona David Butts 04-14-2004, 10:17 PM I'll be running stock friday. Looks like maybe next series 19t is really going to heat up as there looks to be some fast guys getting ready to move up. I dont think the current record will hold much longer. Before Jerry showed up and raised the level in stock we were happy to run 30 or 31 laps now 33 looks like the mark to hit and it will happen. Just not sure by who and when. Fastgnat 04-14-2004, 10:18 PM Newbe potential Oval racers here :jest: After a little (ok alot!) of practice I think Brandon and myself will be ready to enter the Spec class soon. We're hoping we will be able to help you guys out on the sunday racing because It would be hard for us to make it on fridays. One thing that could be keeping the beginner racers from jumping into one of the already established classes is fear of getting the way of the more experienced drivers. Maybe a new Novice class could be started to atract the new folks on Sundays to allow them to learn the tricks of the trade. Just my two cents worth  bigdon18 04-14-2004, 10:18 PM Big Don is in da house now too. eeks! Whats up David, BIGDON Echeconnee 04-14-2004, 10:21 PM HW needs a breakout class, it really helps at our track davepull 04-14-2004, 10:30 PM the only problem with the breakout thing is we don't have enough people showing up (per class) Echeconnee 04-14-2004, 10:31 PM yea, we didn't either but we started it and "BAM" more racers, go figure wade 04-15-2004, 12:22 AM See you all Friday night . Looks like most of the Ga. Gang is coming . Hope to roll in about 6:30 Hey Big Red save Little Red a spot Ready for some Stocker action rcgen 04-15-2004, 02:37 AM The breakout class would be an excellent class for the new and old. I ran it alot at the old arlington track until I felt I was competitive in stock w/the big boys. The class could be a run what you brung class because it won't matter. Then I started running both classes. I guess I enjoy the punishment of running two classes...it'll be Pro-spec and touring for me on Friday...I just can't stand sitting and waiting for my next heat  rcovalracer 04-15-2004, 05:29 AM I ran breakout in Ga. I had a blast in that class, gotta have the right gear, not motor.:) Hey George/Shawn where are the points standings? http://home.comcast.net/~shawnleary/hobbyworld/points.html Heading into week 4 now... See ya guys Friday, looks like alot of us are running double races this weekend,J-Ville and Branford. :dude: Echeconnee 04-15-2004, 07:20 AM More Racing=More Fun irvan36mm 04-15-2004, 07:46 AM Kevin- I think that Shawn was sooo busy w/work & painting a new body to harrass Dave P with! lol It should be updated this weekend w/this & last Friday's points. If ya want,I can email the points results to you tonight. LMK -George irvan36mm 04-15-2004, 08:42 AM Jerry Parrott practicing in 19-turn trim-4/9/04 -George shawnleary 04-15-2004, 09:09 AM Points are up in 10 minutes... ;) davepull 04-15-2004, 09:57 AM See you all Friday night . Looks like most of the Ga. Gang is coming . Hope to roll in about 6:30 Hey Big Red save Little Red a spot Ready for some Stocker action sweet can't wait looks like I am going to have to tend to that center shock. with all theses GA boys coming theres no room for slackers!!!!!!!!!!!!! is Red201 coming too what about BIGDON18 and Tim Halpin??? Hey Shrabber are you sure you want to miss this one????? irvan36mm 04-15-2004, 12:26 PM P- You ain't done w/that center shock, yet?? lol Also,a word on the points standings on the website: There were a few inconsistencies I've found since week 2 that only Hart could fix. (Well,Tom & I could possibly do it,but we would be #1 in points every week! lol And Pilgrim would have another 2nd place 19-t plaque! Ha!) Anyway,it seems that a couple of you were registered twice. To make matters even more confusing, those people even shows as running one week under one alias, then running the next two under yet another alias! This is not the racer's fault! For example (not to pick on any one person, but he's one of them! lol), Steve Short was registered twice-once as "Steve Short",another as "Steve S". In order to post the points,I have to add both aliases' weekly points. The end result (points-wise) looks a whole lot different if ya saw them on the printouts! The computer printouts won't show the numerous ties (maybe 1 or 2) in all the classes our revised web results show, until they are repaired by John. So,in other words, the points race is waaay closer than you would think! So everybody needs to race their butts(tm) off & have a good time! (very important) -George wade 04-15-2004, 07:41 PM Red 201 is going to try and get off work early and ride with me .... don't know about the Waycross Boys. You guys going to make it a double and come run at Branford Sunday??? shawnleary 04-15-2004, 07:44 PM Thanks George. It would be nice to see the points standings posted at the register again. I miss that. I wonder if that very important and checked every race night ROAR listing is still up there?!?!? My ROAR card looks brand new still, I wonder why? ;) Oh well.... c-ya's tomorrow. I get out of work at 230 and will be trackside hopefully a little early. shrabber 04-15-2004, 08:25 PM I like to soon with willies mom being real ill and my wife's disliking with hobby and new house being built puts a crunch on things, hey Dave thanks for the kind words you redneck lol j/k davepull 04-15-2004, 08:48 PM hey Valdosta rc why don't you make the trip down with those to sweet gold cars ValdostaRC 04-15-2004, 09:48 PM To Jax on Friday? Or Branford on Sunday? I just got off the phone with Wade and I might be coming down to Branford on Sunday. Gotta see If I can squeeze some RC Car time in with my RC Plane time! If you are interested in either, I am gonna sweeten the deal up on both of them. Adding anodized shocks with them to match. davepull 04-15-2004, 11:20 PM just got done with the final adjustments rebuilt the center shock with the proper shock shaft. the guy who I bought it from used a TC3 shock and the shaft was to short. Also finished polishing all the screws. if it isn't fast at least it looks cool going slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bigdon18 04-16-2004, 08:12 AM ... don't know about the Waycross Boys. Wade, they is about a 50/50 chance i might be there tonight , depends on what time my wife gets off work today. i tried calling Tim last night and no answer, but when i talked to him on wednesday he had other plans out of town this weekend. BIGDON bigdon18 04-16-2004, 08:16 AM To Jax on Friday? Or Branford on Sunday? I just got off the phone with Wade and I might be coming down to Branford on Sunday. Gotta see If I can squeeze some RC Car time in with my RC Plane time! If you are interested in either, I am gonna sweeten the deal up on both of them. Adding anodized shocks with them to match. I always knew you was trying to practice something , when you barrel rolled in a wreck,, whats up RW. man dust the sled off and come have some fun. BIGDON New92 04-16-2004, 09:15 AM Cool deal Don! Hope you can make it. Bringing the TC too? or just taking the long way around the track? :) bigdon18 04-16-2004, 03:33 PM man if it wasnt for bad luck i wouldnt have no luck at all,, sorry guys some stuff has come up and i cant make it tonight,, after talking to phillip last night and seeing everyone goina be there i really want to come and race, but unfortantly if i decide i would want to go to hell it would start snowing,, so guys have a great race , wish like heck i could be there. if someone can find out about next sunday's racing ,, wade you still plan on goining if they do. man iam boomed out ,, right now, i really want to come down tonight. Henry bigdon18 04-17-2004, 09:53 AM ok guys what all happen last night,,, i know it should have be a heck of night of racing. hope all the guys that had a long trip back home had a safe one. i started to ride down last night ,, after every thing her got settled about 8. my wife is like you should ride down and watch,,, !@#$%,, to my self on the inside,,,lol.. thats like asking a alcoholic to go to the bar and not drink,, just watch the other drink. any word on next sundays racing happing? BIGDON David Butts 04-17-2004, 09:53 AM Only one word describes lastnights racing. LONG! More to come later. David Butts 04-17-2004, 09:57 AM Big Don. How does 49 racers, 8 trailers "A" and "B" mains in all but two classes and finishing up after 1:00 am grab ya. I heard "this is like old times" more than once lastnight. bigdon18 04-17-2004, 10:26 AM Wow,,,,,, Bigdon David Butts 04-17-2004, 12:32 PM I asked John Hart about sunday the 25th lastnight and the answer was, Yes! Weather permitting and if enough people show up to race there will be racing on that day. Now all we have to do is get people to show up. I still feel daytime racing has a totally different feel and I know it has a totally different look. You can actually see everything:thumbsup: Also I for one think that we might want to start thinking about going to the newer style 19t motors. Adjustable timing is really the only difference between what is being run now and that is basically another tuning option. FYI there was atleast one being run lastnight and it didnt set the world on fire so I dont know what everyone is worried about. We could allow them on sundays now since there are'nt points to worry about and then integrate them before the next series. It was mentioned lastnight to just start a new class for them but think about it. We got out of there after 1:00 am and do you really want to throw another class on the clock too? Trinity's ultrabird motor retails at just a couple of more $ than a C2 style. Now who that races at the track right now pays retail for anything? bigdon18 04-17-2004, 02:23 PM i can probably make it down on the 25th ,, ill even bring my pit spy ,, lol,, son austin which is five years old. i talk to tim tonight at the races her in waycross and see what he has plan. i know he would like to watch the races. tonight we are goin to watch the sprint cars at waycross motorspeedway ,,,cewl. BIGDON bigdon18 04-17-2004, 02:26 PM alright david , iam waiting for the speedvision version of your report on the racing,, who and who done what,,,,LOL. BIGDON David Butts 04-18-2004, 09:41 AM Good morning everyone. Its been kinda slow on here and I didnt do the full recap of fridays racing because quite frankly I didnt see much of it again. I was too busy yappin with everyone that showed up with the good crowd we had and looking for some elusive horsepower for myself. It turned out I had plenty of power but maybe just maybe my batteries are going a little soft. Well for starters I believe we had 49 total entries which is the most I've seen at HW since I started racing again last year. Thats all good except the added time it took to get all the new names and class info in the computer took longer than anticipated which meant we started later and that meant we finished later too. Clifford Kline and Andy Thompson drove all the way down from Macon Ga. and I believe they both raced two classes. Cliffords Trailer is huge by huge. Jerry Parrott who's become a regular at the track drove down from Quitman Ga. again and from Valdosta we had Wade Licthenberg and Stevie Spell. Shannon Stevenson Brought his Daughter and they both raced and are from Kingsland Ga. From Branford Fl.we had a large group of racers show up which included Kevin Lang who's wife and child also came, Chris Fine and wife Amanda. Didnt see their young'in this time, Richard Carroll and a son or two raced also. I'm not purposely leaving anyone out this is just all from memory. It was a good night of racing and I wish I had all the results to report on but I dont but heres a couple. David Butts 04-18-2004, 10:01 AM Legends, Joe Mama Tq's and wins (I think) but I dont know Who finished 2nd 3rd or 4th but Steve and Michael Short, Shannon's daughter and I think one more person were racing. Pro-Spec. Someone else will have to fill in on this one but there was some good racing as always in this class. One of the most spec-tacular wrecks of the night Happened when Jason Lambert found Steve(dont know the last name yet)'s car sitting the wrong way against the pipe in the 1st turn. Jasons car launched as if from a ramp and almost went out of the track. Luckily neither car was damaged. Stock. Dave P. pulled another double by both tq'ing and winning the A main. Once again the races were'nt as clean as they have been in the past but it was still a good night. I finished 2nd again and to be honest neither Dave or myself remembers who finished 3rd. Wade L., Kevin Lang, Shannon Stevenson, Clifford Kline and I believe Michael Short were all in the A. There was a B main also since we had 13 stock entries but there again I dont have the results to post. 19t mod. Phil Owen tq's and wins and it looks as if he has gotten the new 04 Maverick(tm) working the way he wants it to as he missed his own track record by a half second in the main. Tom Marlowe raced clean with Jerry P. to take over 2nd and thats all I know but there was a B main in this class too. Touring, Also an A and B main in this class. Bear Y takes tq away from Dave P. in the second round and that was that. Bear wins the main with Dave P. I think in second. Also for the second Time in a few weeks we had a visitor from out of town in touring. His name is Martin and he's a nice guy and a pretty good racer too. I believe he's from Clearwater or that area and he's here because of work. Oh well this may not be a complete rundown with all the names and times but, Want do you want for free? :D The points standings are really starting to shape up now as we have already run 4 of the 7 races. Man we're going right through this thing arent we? red201 04-18-2004, 01:43 PM Hey guys , i am coming down on the 25th and will do all i can to get wade talked in to it. hope to see you guys there.. shawnleary 04-18-2004, 07:29 PM Friday night was a lot of fun. Good to see a bunch of new faces at the track. Hopefully that continues. It was a long night, a lot Mains. I think there were three B mains, first time in a long time. rcovalracer 04-18-2004, 08:35 PM Posted By David Butts:Chris Fine and wife Amanda. He is by far (OK)Fine,:p it is Chris and Amanda Frye, http://thercedge.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif.... Had fun Friday night can't wait till next Friday. Kevin Echeconnee 04-19-2004, 08:01 AM Had a great time Friday night, it's gonna take a few trips down to get the hang of those foams though Shumacher 99 04-19-2004, 02:37 PM Legends, Joe Mama Tq's and wins (I think) but I dont know Who finished 2nd 3rd or 4th but Steve and Michael Short, Shannon's daughter and I think one more person were racing.
