BRDRACING 11-26-2002, 09:38 AM Well I can say that your car handles good down the straights. LOL I don't know about that whole turning thing with you.   metrodog 11-26-2002, 09:41 AM If I could get a fast enough motor I would have to worry about the turning thing! Greg breaking in & racing Dan's ADX!!!! -George metrodog 11-26-2002, 10:42 PM LOLOLOLOL:lol:   shawnleary 11-26-2002, 11:33 PM I'm there. Who else? BullFrog 11-27-2002, 07:10 AM There's a reason why the C1's were so cheap- most racing clubs made them illegal because you can twist the coms.I've got several that have been sitting in my box for a year. Changing the subject: The pictures from the Hooters race will be up by this weekend.Frank should be getting them by Friday. They will be posted on racecarworld- so keep checking. Where can you race in Jacksonville or anywhere else around here for 6.00 for the first car-5.00 for the second and a free legends race with trophies? Big catch you have to be a ROAR member.Where can you get a 20% discount on Hooters food and have plently of TV's and Hooters girls and race R/C's? You can't now - wait till next year.............Thanks for everyone that showed up and had a Hooting good time. Also thanks to our race sponsors Hooters,Budwieser,Art's Hobby shop, Rush Arby,Racecarworld.com,and Bolink R/C Cars. Bill Fraden and Frank Pupello metrodog 11-27-2002, 08:57 AM However C-1's are still legal at HW and at auto Haus race! You neglected to mention that. Greg BullFrog 11-27-2002, 01:01 PM Metro: I was told they were not awhile ago.But since I'm not there regularly ???? I believe they are illegal everywhere else because you could always crank the timing. The C2's have the com lock in them. metrodog 11-27-2002, 01:58 PM Well just for your info, although more difficult, the C2's can also be cranked and have been unfortunately. I however refuse to do that and again it's a few people making everybody buy new motors. Maybe if more companies would produce 19t motors it would force companies to produce a better and more consistant product. If you wanna know how there cranking C-2's e-mail me I don't wanna give anybody ideas! Greg:lol: Shiba 11-27-2002, 07:59 PM I will be there on Friday. I just hope 50% or more of the TC guys show up too so we can run for points. Jay, I told you I would finally get registered on here. Hehe I been too busy working on my car to do so. TC Greg (That is to differentiate me from the other Greg) heh metrodog 11-27-2002, 08:32 PM Hey Greg whats going on man? BullFrog 11-27-2002, 09:08 PM I thought the C1 were out of production since the beginning of the year?Besides I've know that fact since the C2's came out.Trinity isn't the only ones making the 19 turn motor.Reedy makes a fixed 19 turn and ARCOR has and adjustable timing model. Then there are the other two ? & ?(They'll be here soon). Shiba 11-27-2002, 09:12 PM Not much.... Just getting my car setup for Friday. Planning on getting up there early to piddle around with John some. I am ready to race though.. been anxious all week. Heh metrodog 11-27-2002, 09:14 PM Trinity stoped producing them but still has some in stock and that's per tony. Eventually I'll just have 6 practice motors!LOL Greg metrodog 11-27-2002, 09:16 PM Sounds like a plan, If mail man gets here with my motors early I'll be up there too. irvan36mm 11-28-2002, 02:29 AM Metro (so's to differentiate from the other Greg!!)- I've got power coming for our pits for Next Sat @ Kmart! Or if anyone's into coded messages,a'la Dale Earnhardt,Jr,here it goes!: Greg- The pizza delivery guy is gonna trip over your cat, smash his face on your door, call you "Dan" & cuss you out in Chinese about his cable bill"!!!!  -George metrodog 11-28-2002, 11:16 AM Cool will be set George a thermos of hot chocolate or coffee might be in order. Greg joespec 11-28-2002, 11:45 AM Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that everyone has a great time with family and turkey! In the essence of the words, one of the things that I can be truly thankful for,is the years of fun and brotherhood that I have experienced with the fellows that I have raced with over the years! When I got back into r/c,I thought that it would be a permanent thing, but alas,I find that I'm not going to be availble to race for a long time. I drive semi's,and my job has forced me to get ready to liquidate again.I'm getting out,and while it pains me to say,I want to offer everything I have, for less than what I spent on it,alot less! It's no good to have equipment lying around,if it can't be used,so if anyone knows someone who is ready to get into the exciting world of scale racing,my e-mail is jhadnot@mindspring.com joespec 11-28-2002, 11:51 AM In reflection of the holiday,I had time to think about what is truly special in life, and even though we see things differently about all things r/c,.......I know in my heart that you are a special human being! We might disagree, but I have known you for many years, and the fact that you have the r/c thing in your heart ,for the love of the sport,is to be commended! We have had some good times,..close races,...but the friendship is the most special of all,.....Bill,I hope that you have a great holiday!! Keep on going for what you believe in! katf1sh 11-28-2002, 01:59 PM i hate hate hate roar..but bill and his socks can stay! he he happy turkey day racers! sorry to hear about that joe. i wish you the best bro!:) wallbanger2 11-28-2002, 02:52 PM Joespec, YGM  shawnleary 11-28-2002, 07:18 PM I'm sorry to hear about that Joe. Maybe you will be back sooner than you think. Ya never know. I hope everything works out for you and your fam. Happy Turkey Day. Are you sure it wasn't me and Jay's performance in Spec that pushed you away? If so, we are willing to run with governers if that will bring you back into it!! j/k Take care bro Shawn irvan36mm 11-28-2002, 07:55 PM Joespec- Sorry to see you leave the sport-for the 1,000,000th time! Take care of yourself & I'm sure we'll bump into each other at HW soon!! Don't be a stranger!!! -George Jarc 11-28-2002, 10:02 PM Best of luck Joe. I did not know you all that well, but you will be missed trackside and in here. Your posts made it worth checking the forum daily to see what new twist the r/c world has come up with. Looking forward to your return. Jay irvan36mm 11-29-2002, 12:02 AM Originally posted by metrodog Cool will be set George a thermos of hot chocolate or coffee might be in order. LOLOL Greg (OVAL GREG)LOL Metro- I vote the Hooter's girls AND the coffee!! -George Jarc 11-29-2002, 12:33 AM No more evening racing at K-mart till mid march/april. Race starts at 2pm from now on. Might bring a pair of sunglasses as well. BullFrog 11-29-2002, 08:26 AM Thanks Joe for the kind words. You should keep some of your stuff if your going to be over the road driver? It gets boring out there and a R/C fix might help thing out.I'm sure you will be back again, just like in the past.We can't get rid of you or me- we always seem to be there(where ever that is).Just look at all the places were raced in Jacksonville since we started.Oh yes - now I have a Thunder Truck (Spec Car with a truck body) and plenty of ready to run bodies. Since only Me and Frank raced them at Hooters. I also raced it oval as those that showed up can testify.I still wanted to go right however. Joe all I want is for more people to get into R/C racing period. I've busted my fanny for years to promote our hobby. That's why I've done what I 've done. As the region director for Region 4(Florida) I stated that this is my last go around. After this next two years it's time for someone else to keep things going. As for you and I we argued many times over what we believe is correct in R/C's.I've seen your point and have pasted it on to others (ROAR).Many times I've been against a brick wall- It depended on who was president of ROAR. This next two years I have dedicated to do my best.I valued your opinion because I knew where it was coming from.Take care and watch out for those dummies out there that think your a car that can stop on a dime.Have a good holiday season and maybe someday soon we'll race spec cars or trucks? Bill:wave: Shiba 11-29-2002, 08:33 AM Jay, I am coming to see you today... Green and Blue was the combo I needed so I guess I am in luck. Man it is going to be a cold one tonight but I still hope we have a 50% turnout!!! See you all tonight. TC-Greg metrodog 11-29-2002, 10:35 AM Bring your tire warmers! metrodog 11-30-2002, 10:36 AM Great Racin last night guys! Alot clean passin' and exciting action. Props to Rob,George,Dan and John P. These last 2 Fridays have been a blast. John pilgrim your on fire Literaly! LOLOLOL His cars so fast it burst into flames! How are those eye brows? LOLOL:lol:  Greg Good racin guys! But is there really any bad kind? joespec 11-30-2002, 05:51 PM Thank you for the kind wishes,.....everyone!! The balance in life, is the hardest thing to find sometimes. at one time,I had a job that would allow me to race every friday night,.......but once my lovely bride got hurt,it was up to me to step to the plate,.....now that she is better,....we did some evaluating, and realized that if I stayed over the road for awhile longer,we could put ourselves in a better place for the future. When you get my age,and you realize that mortality can come quicker than one expects, you realize that it's good to prepare.I really want to race!! And hope to get a chance to someday later on.One thing that both Bill and I share is the desire for everyone to race r/c!! Let's face the facts,......if most of us had our dream,we would be racing REAL race cars! But without the blood-line,or the money, the r/c thing is the closest that most of us can come to this.At least with r/c,I can rub fenders with one of you guys, and you might laugh it off,.......maybe. ( I guess it depends on weither it is the main or not) LOL! Ya'll take care! I'll be back, for the best thing is racing with you guys, some of the finest people I know! irvan36mm 11-30-2002, 06:34 PM Originally posted by metrodog Great Racin last night guys! My car in the first qual & the mains ran like a cat that's gotten into a container of "Icy Hot"! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Let's do it again next week!! BTW-we really need to install a video camera overlooking the chicken coop! I keep missing out on the antics of Pilgrim!! -George Jarc 11-30-2002, 09:51 PM Was it me or did it seem the sugar water in the infield was a bit slick? It made the hairpin turns a but ruff to handle for everyone it seemed. What if we leave the sugar water off for next weeks race to see if the traction is a bit better in the infield? irvan36mm 11-30-2002, 10:10 PM Jay- The TC races did look a bit slick out there. I'm not sure if J.Pilgrim sprayed sugar water in the infield-maybe he did?!? I do know that he put down a million gallons on the oval! It's probably why the oval racing was really competitive the last couple of nights. We'll ask John not to spray the infield next Friday. As a matter of fact,he'll probably end up calling me tomorrow (Sunday) to see if I'm going to practice! If he does,I'll ask him then! BTW-Glad to see that you've got your tool box in order-finally!! See you this weekend @ HW & KMart!! -George Jarc 11-30-2002, 10:28 PM He|| ya the toolbox is alot lighter now.... BTW, when do you practice? Still doing thursday nights? davepull 12-01-2002, 02:32 PM I really think that the sugar water doesn't need to be done. it is like hitting spots of ice. also would it be possiable to run the touring cars first fo a change? Dave Puliafico davepull 12-01-2002, 04:53 PM That would be nice to get off the track before 11:00 pm once in awhile for touring cars shawnleary 12-01-2002, 07:21 PM Was this past friday the 6th week or 5th week of points racing? I'm down 2 points in the series to Jay, even though I've won 5 out of the last 6 A-mains. I am not racing this Friday, I'm hoping that this friday coming up isn't the last race in the series... Dooooooooh! I guess there is always next series. If you see Jay there racing for points without me, please dog him about. Good racing this past Friday night.
