There's a reason why the C1's were so cheap- most racing clubs made them illegal because you can twist the coms.I've got several that have been sitting in my box for a year.

Metro: I was told they were not awhile ago.But since I'm not there regularly ???? I believe they are illegal everywhere else because you could always crank the timing. The C2's have the com lock in them.

Well just for your info, although more difficult, the C2's can also be cranked and have been unfortunately. I however refuse to do that and again it's a few people making everybody buy new motors. Maybe if more companies would produce 19t motors it would force companies to produce a better and more consistant product. If you wanna know how there cranking C-2's e-mail me I don't wanna give anybody ideas!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that everyone has a great time with family and turkey! In the essence of the words,one of the things that I can be truly thankful for,is the years of fun and brotherhood that I have experienced with the fellows that I have raced with over the years! When I got back into r/c,I thought that it would be a permanent thing,but alas,I find that I'm not going to be availble to race for a long time. I drive semi's,and my job has forced me to get ready to liquidate again.I'm getting out,and while it pains me to say,I want to offer everything I have,for less than what I spent on it,alot less! It gets boring out there and a R/C fix might help thing out.I'm sure you will be back again, just like in the past.We can't get rid of you or me- we always seem to be there(where ever that is).Just look at all the places were raced in Jacksonville since we started.Oh yes - now I have a Thunder Truck (Spec Car with a truck body) and plenty of ready to run bodies. Since only Me and Frank raced them at Hooters. I also raced it oval as those that showed up can testify.I still wanted to go right however.

I've busted my fanny for years to promote our hobby.That's why I've done what I 've done. As the region director for Region 4(Florida) I stated that this is my last go around. After this next two years it's time for someone else to keep things going.As for you and I we argued many times over what we believe is correct in R/C's.I've seen your point and have pasted it on to others (ROAR).Many times I've been against a brick wall- It depended on who was president of ROAR. Thank you for the kind wishes,.....everyone!! The balance in life, is the hardest thing to find sometimes. at one time,I had a job that would allow me to race every friday night,.......but once my lovely bride got hurt,it was up to me to step to the plate,.....now that she is better,....we did some evaluating,and realized that if I stayed over the road for awhile longer,we could put ourselves in a better place for the future.When you get my age,and you realize that mortality can come quicker than one expects,you realize that it's good to prepare.I really want to race!! And hope to get a chance to someday later on.One thing that both Bill and I share is the desire for everyone to race r/c!! Let's face the facts,......if most of us had our dream,we would be racing REAL race cars! But without the blood-line,or the money,the r/c thing is the closest that most of us can come to this.At least with r/c,I can rub fenders with one of you guys,and you might laugh it off,.......maybe. ( I guess it depends on weither it is the main or not) LOL! Ya'll take care! I'll be back,for the best thing is racing with you guys,some of the finest people I know!

Mad props to you the BigdogR/C team for the killer batteries & motors! My car in the first qual & the mains ran like a cat that's gotten into a container of "Icy Hot"! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Let's do it again next week!!

BTW-we really need to install a video camera overlooking the chicken coop! I keep missing out on the antics of Pilgrim!!

Was it me or did it seem the sugar water in the infield was a bit slick? It made the hairpin turns a but ruff to handle for everyone it seemed.

What if we leave the sugar water off for next weeks race to see if the traction is a bit better in the infield?

The TC races did look a bit slick out there. I'm not sure if J.Pilgrim sprayed sugar water in the infield-maybe he did?!? I do know that he put down a million gallons on the oval! :lol: It's probably why the oval racing was really competitive the last couple of nights. We'll ask John not to spray the infield next Friday. As a matter of fact,he'll probably end up calling me tomorrow (Sunday) to see if I'm going to practice! If he does,I'll ask him then!

BTW-Glad to see that you've got your tool box in order-finally!! :lol:

I'm down 2 points in the series to Jay, even though I've won 5 out of the last 6 A-mains. :confused:

I am not racing this Friday, I'm hoping that this friday coming up isn't the last race in the series... Dooooooooh! I guess there is always next series. :rolleyes: If you see Jay there racing for points without me, please dog him about.
