Oh noooooo. Shannon must have been putting in some more dyno time.
dang it. Now not only do I have to worry about Jerry and Dave p. But Shannon's got his sights on my car too. Could there be a four way battle to the line on the last lap brewing? I cant wait. Hey where'd our smiley faces go? I dont like the new look on hobby talk. :(

Eugene suggest they hold the meeting at the track:
1) that way you can race
2) the club members can watch you run your new car or better yet put a truck body for touring LOL
3) club members can get interested in rc racing if not already
4) start a touring and/or oval truck class

Someone else finish the top 10 reasons

I had fun trying to keep up with you guys all night, but my one 7.9 won't cut it with you guys and your 7.4's.http://thercedge.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

If you missed the main for 19T,you missed one heck of a run by Jerry Parrott (hats off) he hit every turn within a inch of the pipes, and even managed to thread the needle with 2 cars coming out of turn 4. Pretty impressive first time out in 19T.Don't know if it was a record run but I won't forget it. Kevin

Parrott missed the track record by a few seconds. He was flyin. He won the Main and TQ'd I believe. George won the A-Main in Pro-Spec, I TQ'd and beat the track record by three seconds. Dave P wins the Stock main after Butts(tm) got tied up in some traffic in turn one and Dave P sailed to an easy win. I didn't watch the touring Mains. Great night for racing, weather was perfect. Track was nice and warm lots of grip. The track keeps getting faster and faster.

Yes it was another good night of racing at the big track. Work's been keeping me busy so I have'nt authored another novel on lastnights races but I will say that I had fun. More crashes than in the past in stock but we're still getting more people to run and that means more cars trying to occupy the same space on the track.

Dave P takes over the points lead in stock with a tq and win so he now leads by two points. 298 to 296(Me) with Shannon Stephenson in third with 284. Man O man. who will run all of the races so they can throw out the two worst ones and who will be the champion of this new class? Jerry already has thrown out one by running 19t.

Jerry decided to run 19t instead of stock and he did pretty good for a first timer. How about a tq and main win? He came close to Phil's record but dont discount Phil just yet. He'll get his new car to work better once he gets the carpet setup out of it.

Oh yeah some guy named Shawn Leary opened a big can of that whoop stuff in qualifying for pro-spec and turns the first ever 33 lap run in the class. Hmm? Who'll be next? George had a bigger can for the main though. No new record but 100 points is 100 points.

I had previously thought that stock would hit 33 laps before spec but I'm not always right. Oh well this is not as lenghthy as in the past but I'm tired and Its all from memory.

Stay tuned for more

Alright guys make your plans now to be at the Southern 500 Nationals in Macon Memorial day weekend. The race will be on Saturday and Sunday. The track will be open all day friday till 11pm and Saturday from 7am to 12 noon. There will be single lap qualifying, 3 heats and mains. We will take a vote among the drivers at te race to see if the mains will be single or triples. I am working on getting it all posted on the site now.
