The guy that does the motor tuning at the track for $8? Need to know if he will be there Friday night. Thanks ahead of time. Kevin New92 03-29-2004, 08:20 PM I work with his wife, I will ask her when I see her if he will be there. Also have some driver setups, all are welcome if you'd like to submit them. George is working on getting the point standings to me so they should be there soon. Had a blast Friday, wish I was a little faster, but don't we all? C-ya's this Friday. rcovalracer 03-29-2004, 09:52 PM I work with his wife, I will ask her when I see her if he will be there. Had a blast Friday, wish I was a little faster, but don't we all? C-ya's this Friday. Yeah,I'll be getting the current point standings to Shawn tonight,so the website will be updated very soon! I wonder if Dan could film the Pro-Spec mains this Friday night? We know y'all got some setups that you want to submit. Let's help some of the newer guys out so we can all get fast!! There's nothing like racing w/the whole field all grouped together in huge packs trying to get out of the only open fire exit-just ask the Pro-Spec & 19t oval guys! Just email them to either me or Shawn (better) & he'll post it on the site. You can either submit a scan of a setup sheet from the back of some instruction manuals (or download them from the mfgr's sites) or type it out in an MS Word document. Thanx a bunch! See y'all Friday! -George irvan36mm 03-30-2004, 07:51 AM In case anyone's looking for a really kicka__ oval setup sheet, look here: http://classichobbiesraceway.com/modules/SetupSheet/SetupSheet2-10.pdf It also has some info for t-plates,springs,tire compounds, etc. It'll be a good sheet to keep in your pit box! Here's one for the TC3: http://rc10.com/racerhub/setup/TC3_blank_input.pdf For you Schumacher Mission drivers: http://195.92.181.110:8090/upload/MissionBlankSETUP.pdf And here's a page for you Losi XXX-S guys: http://www.teamlosi.com/setups/xxxs_plus/index.htm -George shawnleary 03-30-2004, 12:12 PM I'm going to try and film from the lower drivers stand and maybe even up top if there is room. I will just be following the leader, I can't fit much more on the screen. There isn't a limit to the number or size of uploads to imagestation.com so i will be using that one. Echeconnee 03-30-2004, 02:56 PM 15 bucks too much for Sunday racing. yea, especially since they have not fixed the lights. Had a blast Friday, wish I was a little faster, but don't we all? C-ya's this Friday. I looked at the site today and there is nothing new. No points, no updated records. And no video. eeks! rcovalracer 03-30-2004, 06:03 PM Posted By Shawn Leary:There isn't a limit to the number or size of uploads to imagestation.com so i will be using that one. Shawn there is a 15 min. video limit and no limit for pictures @ imagestation. Keep in mind that we all don't have fast connection speeds such as DSL,so long vids. will take a long time to download. , Kevin totalrc 03-30-2004, 07:25 PM Glad to see stock class running. BULLFROG are you selling used or new front purples??and if so how much!! shawnleary 03-31-2004, 12:42 PM Butts you need to hit refresh or something on your system. Your new record has been up there for sometime as well as the video link and that one picture. I'm still waiting for points from George, should be set before racing this Friday. shawnleary 03-31-2004, 12:43 PM Kev, it time for broadband dude! the four minute races will be in the 15-20MB range. And that's in mpg format, the avi is around 45MB. ddooooooh! bigdon18 03-31-2004, 01:23 PM hey guys wehner here again. i was wondering how you found tires at 2.27?? did you cut them or did you buy them like that..if you bought them, then where because i cant find them. another thing is what other color is good for the rear with a 27t. because i cant find the specs on the mageta ones which i heard were the best ones to use..... BULLFROG are you selling used or new front purples??and if so how much!! the tires that sizes have been cut down , most of the time on a tire truer. most tires are 2.40 to 2.45 in size depending on which brand you buy. the magenta is a trc brand tire and has a durometer reading between a purple and a pink,, its a little harder than a pink and slightly softer than a purple. hope this helps you out a little. the local hot shoes like david butt TM , davepull , Joe mama can get you in the right direction on the tire setup. BIGDON  irvan36mm 03-31-2004, 01:29 PM hey guys wehner here again. i was wondering how you found tires at 2.27?? did you cut them or did you buy them like that..if you bought them, then where because i cant find them. another thing is what other color is good for the rear with a 27t. because i cant find the specs on the mageta ones which i heard were the best ones to use..... BULLFROG are you selling used or new front purples??and if so how much!! Mike- You probably won't find tires "precut" these days from the factory! lol The smaller tires on my Pro-Spec car from Friday were at one time brand new tires. They've been worn down & just happened to find them in my bag 'o tires. Some racers will get a new set of tires from the shop & purposely cut the tires down to the desired size. Others, like myself, will have some small, worn out ones laying around. If you're a cheapskate like me & don't want to ruin an otherwise good set of new tires, you can adjust your desired gearing using "rollout". Sorry,I can't remember the math formula. I have a program on my Palm PDA that'll do it for me! The best thing to do is to bring whatever tires you plan to use Friday night & we'll help you figure everything out. -George bigdon18 03-31-2004, 01:30 PM Guys i had plans on coming down and running with yall friday night , but things for the family has gotten bad. my mother is scheduled to have a heart cath, done friday at st vince,,, (spelling?) at 1030am ,, and just also happen my fatherinlaw is be moved to there also today to have the same thing done.. just after feeling bad and went to the hospital the night before last,, so guys i be there in jax friday but not to race,, i really want to get to run there again, before i go in my self but i have to wait and see what works out for next week. PHILLIP,, call me when you can tonight. BIGDON irvan36mm 03-31-2004, 01:31 PM Butts you need to hit refresh or something on your system. Shawn- Did ya get my email from last night that had the Excel points sheets? LMK! Bigdon- Hope all works out with your folks! You know that Shawn works in the cath lab at Baptist, right? Probably could have gotten ya a two-for-one deal! lol -George bigdon18 03-31-2004, 01:37 PM George, sorry i forgot to mention you also for helping the guy out,, lot of things on my mind right now. but hey they are alot of guys at hobby world that will helping out,, i also agree with you george on the rollout thing,, unless you got money to burn or got a sweet deal on tires it isnt worth the money to cut tires down each week to run a club race,, BIGDON bigdon18 03-31-2004, 01:45 PM George, i have remember him saying he work somewhere in that area of work but didnt know where,, as for baptist hospital i know where that is ,,, .. on June 15 1973 , a ugly mug know as bigdon was born @ 12lbs 14oz was born there,, yes iam orginally from jacksonville fla.. thats why i dont understand the tuff love i get when i come and run down there from bill ,,, is it because i moved,,, .. region 3 trouble :jest: BIGDON Fl Flash 03-31-2004, 06:28 PM Bigdon, Bets wishes for your Mom and Father-inlaw. I was thinking for the visitors,if they have to wait a hour for a video, they will not stay at the site long, sorry my mind went towards the web thing there I guess. Hey Shawn you watched my cool camera videos with the cars flipping? Looks like real Nascar  Here is the link to my imagestation (http://www.imagestation.com/member/join_signin_prompt.html?album_id=4290392861&rf=&ru=%2Falbum%2F%3Fid%3D4290392861) if anyone wants to check out my videos. Kevin Kevin's RC Oval Site/Branford RC Speedway (http://www.kevinsrc.tk) shawnleary 03-31-2004, 09:56 PM Kev, well back in 1995 when I had dial-up ;), it took me 12 hours to download adobe photshop 5.0, as well as Warcraft!! :) I feel your pain brother, of course that was at 14.4k and not 56k. How's the photoshop coming along? I got spoiled real quick when I moved down to this "never heard of town" in Florida called Jacksonville that just happened to be the test bed for these new fangled "cable modems". It was unidirectional still requiring a phone line for uploads over a 28.8k. I've never filled up a hard drive so fast with, ummm, educational video's, yea, that was it. I have the points standings on the site now. Congrats to Dave Bear Tom and Dan taking the early lead in the points race. hurricaneracing 03-31-2004, 10:56 PM Kevin Yes i will be there Friday night as long as the weather permits if you want to call me before then you can 237-9387. rcovalracer 04-01-2004, 04:07 AM Hey Shawn,I have played with it a couple times, but like I said it may take me a year or 2 to find all the funtions and what nots, ohh my power supply went out not to long ago,try editing a webpage and browsing forums with 28.8 dial up  not fun. Hurricane Motors I will be there Friday night around 7 with a handfull of motors I need tweeked for the big race up in Macon, Thanks Kevin Kevin's RC Oval Site/Branford RC Speedway (http://www.kevinsrc.tk) shawnleary 04-01-2004, 04:38 PM George, the points in excel format are sweeeeeet. David Butts 04-01-2004, 07:06 PM Hey Shawn and George. The sites looking good. Keep up the good work and the points look more interesting when you can see them. Wow! Jeremy Mr. hurricane motors himself speaks. Thats a rare occasion in itself. I hope the weather holds for tomorrow night. Cool and clear. Just the way hot batteries like it. parrott88 04-01-2004, 07:13 PM See YA There. Coming back for so more............ shrabber 04-01-2004, 08:20 PM Meadows You Have Pm Later Tim irvan36mm 04-02-2004, 10:25 AM Butts(tm)-Thanks for the props on the site! Yes,the points & results look really good when visible. Makes for good track-smack! lol Looks like Jeremy's going to be a very busy motor dude tonight! Everyone do his daughter a favor & buy a can drink from her tonight! .50 & a very short walk from the pits is waaay better than $2 & a long, dark walk to DQ anyday/night,IMO! -George shawnleary 04-02-2004, 04:23 PM George, I'll bring a floppy tonight, let's see if we can make our lives easier and output the results to it. rcovalracer 04-03-2004, 07:24 AM Congratulations to Jerry Parrott. Man those 27T stock guys are fast and they have been having some close racing action, can't wait to return to run. Dave P. should I run road course for awhile, and then oval, man you sure know your way around a oval well..Good running last night  ,oh yea Dave got TQ, congratulations.. Kevin davepull 04-03-2004, 10:25 AM thanks man wheel time is wheel time. touring car didn't turn out the way i would have liked but it was fun and it keeps you on your toes. oval was a blast Congrats to Jerry man he is fast and smooth oh yah in the 6 timed runs on this car ihave gone 32 laps 4 times with 1 31 and the other I pulled it to watch the racing. not bad for a associated 10L4 David Butts 04-03-2004, 11:39 AM Good racing lastnight to everyone. It looks as if maybe all our really really close running as in door to door for lap after lap with two or more cars in stock has used up some of our racing luck/skill. Jerry and I hit in turn four during the 2nd qualifier that caused both of us to lose time, He more than I since he ended up nosed into the pipe but it wasnt intentional on either of our parts but it happened. We have raced like that many times and even were three wide in practice for many laps. It looked as if everyone except George R(R) in pro-spec were off the pace. Congrats on his new track record. Congrats to Jerry on his 1st place run, Congrats to Dave P.(official spur gear checker)on his tq and record equaling 7.2 lap in qualifying and 2nd place and also to Shannon(mr.4th place) on his, Ahem 4th place finish and personal best times too. Me? Uh huh I got 3rd. I didnt grab the lap sheets as usual so I dont have 5th 6th and 7th but I do know that Tom Marlowe, Steve Short and Michael short were also racing. Hmm Steve and Michael wrecked on the front straight. Was that father taking out son or son taking out father? Who knows but the racing in general was just not as clean as it has been the last month or so. We'll get it back though. It's what we do. Oh yeah there is a points series going on in this stock racing(aswell as all the other classes including legends)and after two races its very close. 1st and 2nd are tied(Jerry and I)with 198 and Dave P. is 3rd with 196 and Shannon(mr. 4th place) is in, Yep! 4thwith 188. This points racing is going to be fun for those of us that like to look at things like that I just hope we can all reamain friends throughout it. irvan36mm 04-03-2004, 11:57 PM Butts(tm)- I managed to beat you to the 4-cell stock lap sheets! lol I've just emailed the scans of the sheets to Shawn for the website,so they'll be visible soon. As for the mains finishes, here's a sneak peek for you stock guys! : 4-CELL STOCK A-MAIN 4/2/04 1. JERRY PARROTT 32/4:03.70 2. DAVE PULIAFICO 32/4:05.46 3. DAVID BUTTS(TM) 31/4:07.42 4. STEVE SHORT 25/4:04.12 LMK if you want copies of the race results for your drooling pleasure! lol Cheers! -George irvan36mm 04-04-2004, 11:17 PM Just wondering if anybody's planning to race this Friday 4/9 and/or Sunday 4/11? The reason I'm asking is that Easter weekend is coming up & a few of you may be going out-of-town for the holidays. Also,John Hart will not be able to make it this Friday or Sunday, due to prior plans. But he has left the computer, transponder, etc with Tom Marlowe. He will be at the track Friday to run the races,as this is a scheduled points race night. So whether you are or aren't gonna be racing this weekend, let us know by posting here. Thanks! -George & Tom davepull 04-05-2004, 12:09 AM i'll be there rcgen 04-05-2004, 12:38 AM So far I'll be there Friday Night hopefully I'll have a "Good Friday"...Not for sure on Easter Sunday Hank80 04-05-2004, 08:40 AM OK, who of the HW group is going to head down to Strickland park on Saturday the 10th? David Butts 04-05-2004, 04:21 PM I'll definately be there friday night even if a little late. It's again my weekend to work which means I have to work later on friday afternoon than usual and then saturday at stricklands/ormond beach and sunday at hw is out of the question. I hate working for a living! BryanW92 04-05-2004, 06:38 PM I'm going to be there Friday night, running Touring Stock. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
