Stoney,
Has mentioned a good point why not. Lets all work WITH them and NOT against them. If alittle work on everybody's part is need to bring HW up to something we can all be proud to run on then why not? Wouldn't the sacrafice be worth it? Its always better to work with them, then there would be any problems like we've been reading about. If somebody doesn't want to help out, then thats their choise, right? It time to stop all the gripping and complaining and work torwards something better.

Bryan good luck on Monday!

NEWS FLASH HERNY THEY DON'T CARE AND NEVER WILL. you can't work with people that don't care.

Stoney you don't see what all the fuss is about??? how about 15 more people that were going to come down and race with us. that now are never coming at all!!!!!!!!!!! yah they were out of towners but they were still racers that were treated poorly by HW.

lets clear a few of the issues up

1 the owners have no idea what is going on out back.
2 the lighting still stinks
3 the track pipe is a mess.
4 there is new pipe to fix it and the owners do nothing about it.
5 there is trash barrells that need emptying.
6 15 bucks is to much for all this!!!!!

all of the above issues should be taken car of buy the track owners not the racers!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave,
You mentioned you didn't want to get into a pissing match with Stoney, but you would rather get into one with me, why? OK we've heard you spout off about it! Like I see it you don't like it, don't race then, simple! You seem to be the one who keeps on stirring this up, let it go!

You mentioned time and time again, I think everybody on hear has read about it at least once. Just let it go. I spoke with Bill F. the other evening he filled me in on somethings, ok.

Let it go and you'll feel better!

And no I am not making excuses for andbody, I state an idea and you mention something that is contradicting no matter what it is.

Dave one more try spell check!

BryanW92- Good luck w/the "circulatory system hop-ups" & get well soon! Don't be surprised if ya see a familiar face during catherization! (Shawn) He may even give your system another 1/100th per lap! lol

Also guys, check out the Branford thread. Looks like a few of their regular drivers built a new drivers stand. Maybe Scott's HS pitched in help or some $$ for materials, but it needed to be done. The point is that their drivers, not just the LHS, pitched in to help improve their facilities to have a decent track to race at every week. No different from what we're doing here in Jax!

I was there from 5:30 to just after 7. A few people were there but no one was on the track. I went out and ran some practice laps in my TC, but couldn't get anyone to join me, so I gave up and came home.

Stupid weather!! First it rains all week and now a freak arctic blast ruins my Friday night racing!

And the worst part is that my car is running GREAT!

Bryan- Your car looked pretty good out there. And yes,the weather does suck! "Welcome to FL & our crazy weather!" The flip-side of the deal is that if the year starts out really cold, then the summer usually gets really hot. I'll take the hot weather anyday!

I qual 4th with 47 laps, TQ was 50. Then in the main.... dooooh! LAST. Don't even want to talk about it... had fun though. I'll definitely go next time they race, good staff running it and we had 9 guys in 4-cell stock. Hopefully next time we can get a couple more jax guys to go down. 10 bucks. Lights work. 90 miles gas money. Got Oval this weekend?

I appreciate you helping me out the 2nd time and moving over. Hope to race with you again in the future, need any help please feel free to ask. :)

just to let the powers that be know the new roar rules are out there are new weights for the cars
1/10 4 cell oval 38 oz on foam tires
1/12 4 cell oval 28 oz on foam tires

I am checking on the touring car weight and to see if these are weights with or without transponders.

shawn you are right they did change the weight. the link that I got off the carpet nats sit is for the 03 rulebook. this is the new weights

posted by HANKSTER
According to the Jan. RevUp they are:

4-cell weights
1/10 foam - 40oz.
1/10 cap - 42 oz.
1/12 foam - 31 oz.
1/12 cap - 33 oz.

All weights for ROAR are with transponder installed. This is to give everybody (personal and handout transponders) the same race weight.

Those weights Hank posted are oval.

I would like to invite all of you guys up to race on the 4th of April we are expecting a pretty good turn out. You don't have to belong to anything or put up with any bad carma. Just bring 10 bucks, 5 for a second class and have some fun! 7.0 stock, open stock and 19t. The 4th is on a Sunday and the track will be open all day saturday to practice and hey, we will even turn the lights on for ya, "geez, I sound like Tom Bodette" Seriously though, we will leave the lights on untill 10pm for you guys that show up late. For a peek at the track go to www.echeconneesuperspeedway.tk

we are building a new drivers stand as well and it should be completed in a couple of weeks

Well everyone it looks as if the weather in north Fl. for sunday is kinda on the crappy side. I'm going to once again postpone my trip to Branford. My idea of fun is not standing on a drivers stand while thunder showers are going on. Thats beer drinkin weather fella's. Now it looks as if maybe friday night here is going to be the best weather to race. Wish I could see turn three. Due to some volunteers and a little time with a few rakes and shovels all the trash that made the place look like a dump has been picked up(thanks from me guys)and all the garbage cans have been emptied.

Also the road course was completely changed lastnight so turnmarshalls will really get a workout now. If you thought the last layout was hard to marshall you aint seen nuthin yet.? Heh heh heh

Also I mentioned to Tom Marlowe(just because he's one of the race directors and he was there)that there needs to be something in the way of timed or structured practice times on race day/night. Say like alternating every fifteen minutes between oval and onroad. There have been several instances in the past that could have gotten ugly.

Glad to see we have gotten back to racing discussion and less on the negatives. Atleast as of right now hw is our only place to race so I for one will try to do just that. Race more bs less. Oh well it's off to work for me now. See ya's at the track!

Butts- Yeah,I agree w/you on the timed practice! There needs to be some structure on raceday practice, especially w/the new on-road layout. A lot of the "Friday-night" TC guys that haven't seen the layout yet (that didn't get to come out & help Tues),will really need a few extra minutes to practice the course and to make necessary changes/repairs to their sleds b-4 the night starts. We all need to work together (oval & TC guys) so everyone has a chance to have an enjoyable night! How 'bout it?? Wear your shorts Friday night & let's RACE!! lol
