Hank80 02-16-2004, 12:30 PM I will be there, also. red201 02-16-2004, 01:40 PM we are plannining on coming down last time i talked to wade,so see you guys then red201 02-16-2004, 05:09 PM wade was you planning on goin to jax or branford this weekend? wade 02-16-2004, 05:10 PM Just got back from a 5 day cruise to Cozamel :dude: Don are you running stock or 19t?? Stevie and I are planning to come on the 22nd , Also Jerry and possibly Donnie David I really want to race with you in the daylight , Night is definatly a handi-cap for me :drunk: Phil so it is a go for the 22nd at H.W.?? bigdon18 02-16-2004, 06:03 PM i think iam goin to run touring this sunday but who knows might have to pull out the oval car. BIGDON bigdon18 02-16-2004, 06:05 PM Donnie you coming down? bigdon18 02-16-2004, 06:10 PM can any of the macon crew make it down,,,cliff? David Butts 02-16-2004, 06:14 PM Oh man I really want to run at Branford but with all this new traffic showing up I may just have to run at hw this sunday. Only problem now is what to run. Phil I know will run 19t only and I want to atleast be the second fastest 19t racer but it looks as if stock may be the racers race this week. Could it be that there would be a "B" main in 4c stock at hobby world? Say it aint so. How many other locals want in on this? Wade you better have some sunglasses as opposed to those yellow nightime glasses you have. My paint jobs are bright in the sun  . All joking aside I'm up for some good fun. A bad day at the track is better than a good day at home. Donnie_99 02-16-2004, 06:18 PM i am staying here to race unless something changes. Donnie wade 02-16-2004, 06:40 PM No problem Donnie I understand Big Don Touring car !! whats that  4-cell stock will be a blast with you and Tim in it Jerry and Stevie are both coming and me + Butts + Big Don and Tim now thats a 4-cell class anybody else want some Stocker action on Sunday Echeconnee 02-16-2004, 08:28 PM well aint that a hoot, half of the Branford crowd is going to Jax and half of the Jax crowd is going to Branford, lol irvan36mm 02-17-2004, 07:48 AM Oh man I really want to run at Branford but with all this new traffic showing up I may just have to run at hw this sunday. Only problem now is what to run......... Could it be that there would be a "B" main in 4c stock at hobby world? Say it aint so. How many other locals want in on this?........... Butts(tm)- Depending on how many Pro-Spec guys show up (Tom & I may be the only ones!), I [I]might[/] have to join in the 4c stock action. The Branford may be on hold for me. BTW,what were you running for gearing last time in stock? (besides the extra 5th,6th & 7th cell! lol) -George shawnleary 02-17-2004, 11:25 AM George I'm with you on Branford. No one wants to drive out there with me so I'm staying home to whoop some pro-spec a$$. That track record will fall this weekend either Friday or Sunday. I hope Sunday will be as nice as this past one was. The track will be FAAASSSST! bigdon18 02-17-2004, 11:41 AM boy oboy ,,,,its building up to be a barn burner weekend of racing. now someone needs to hold the weather man hostage :jest: hey guys how much is it to run a second class? BIGDON David Butts 02-17-2004, 01:19 PM George, I caught that trademark this time. I ran a 38/100(2.74 rollout) with 2.30 tires on the binary stock last race but I think it maybe could have pulled one more tooth. Wade was the one with the horsey power though. We need to find out what he's running. I only have one binary and a couple monster's so I'll probably try a monster this weekend. Don, Too much is what they charge for a second class in my honest opinion. $15 for the 1st and $10 each for all other classes. A couple of guys several weeks ago ran three classes. Thats $35 for nada, zippo, nuthin. Kevin, It looks like h/w needs to swap their every other sunday dates to the ones you guy's(and gal's)dont run on. bigdon18 02-17-2004, 01:42 PM David, my opinon also,,,ouch,,,,that hurts :( ,, with all the talk of the 4 cell stock cars running i like to run also,, but on the other hand i also want to run my tc3 on asphalt to get a feel for it,,, had a blast the last time i ran it at the carpet track. for that amount of entry fee you should get something,,,, a gift card to use in the shop which is a great ideal it makes you spend money in the hobby shop and to make you come back because the hobby shop is closed on friday nights after the races are over,,which is a double  for them HOBBY WORLD or at least a raffle ticket or something if they did i believe it would draw more racers and more racers mean more customers for the shop ,more customer means more sales, more sales means more $$$ for them,, see in retail you push for sales to be profitable and that my friend is one way how you do it, but thats me and i know other have others have their own believes. hopefully someone someday will see that and capitalize on it. because if it did happen it would all be good for both in the end for the shop and for the racers. BIGDON red201 02-17-2004, 02:17 PM don give me a call at home tonite we are coming down sunday shawnleary 02-17-2004, 04:27 PM I 2nd that motion David. Big Don, good luck, we feel your pain. Echeconnee 02-17-2004, 06:03 PM I am just wondering, does anyone know what it costs to pave a track like HW? rcgen 02-17-2004, 06:18 PM Looks like HW is the place to be on the 22nd and I have to work  I guess I'll get my racing this Friday Eugene rcovalracer 02-17-2004, 06:30 PM Posted By David Butts: Kevin, It looks like h/w needs to swap their every other sunday dates to the ones you guy's(and gal's)dont run on. I agree totally with ya,I would love to join the crowd @ HW the 22nd as I had a blast at the night race I attended, love to give it a shot in the daylight, but I have to stay at the home track the 22nd.. Should be some exciting racing going on there with that crowd.. Hope to see all you guys come together for a roadtrip to Branford one weekend, Kevin Kevin's RC Oval Site/Branford RC Speedway (http://www.kevinsrc.tk) wade 02-17-2004, 06:42 PM Big Don I will need a blocker on Sunday in 4-cell :D I will cover your entry fee in 4-cell , Still cant believe you are running touring A DIEHARD oval guy like you going over to the Darkside  anyway bring on your stocker I will cover you no problem If Jerry and Donnie make it they will show us the fast way around the track. as far as gearing it was a reeeally big spur and a liiiitttle tiny pinion  would have to look at dyno #s Butt (t/m) believe it was a 104/34 DEO RACING 02-17-2004, 08:28 PM Wade depending on how much you want to spend,I will be more than happy to block for you!!! maybe I can keep up  Phillip wade 02-17-2004, 09:24 PM Phil I am sure you could keep up no problem  shrabber 02-17-2004, 09:45 PM phil you got pm  davepull 02-17-2004, 10:13 PM I am just wondering, does anyone know what it costs to pave a track like HW? i think they spent like 10,000 to lay a new layer of asphalt DEO RACING 02-17-2004, 10:16 PM Tim back at you. Phillip stoneman 02-17-2004, 10:40 PM I will probably be runing 19 turn sunday if I can get this new car set up.wont have time to test it so I will make a few practice runs friday with it and see. OK see ya'll at the track. shawnleary 02-17-2004, 11:19 PM Wish I had three cars setup for Sunday ;( bigdon18 02-18-2004, 09:35 AM wade, now you know i cant even run good enuff to block ,much less blocking whats that? Besides i dont have no power plants like you do. Phillip, your too slow to run stock,,,,, :jest: weather, this morning it said on ch12 that it be in the 70s and sunshine,,,, but we know that can change several times before then,,, but looking good right now ,, unless that rain they plan on saturday decides to wait, until then. BIGDON David Butts 02-18-2004, 05:00 PM Looking like it's gonna be a good day for sunday guys. Somebody needs to bring a camera. Could be memorable for many reasons. I even decided to go through my worn out stock motors to see If any horsey's were stuck in the cans. Maybe some donkey's but no horse's in there. Can I use my snowbird handout's? Wait, They're pigs too! shrabber 02-18-2004, 05:05 PM Dave those handouts will rock out there and there are as good as any monsters I have with the high rpm even with the runup with that long straight away it should be fine I will use mine if i can make it sunday  David Butts 02-18-2004, 07:55 PM Tim, Sorry I have'nt gotten back to ya. Works been eating at me all week. Your birds setup will work at hw with almost no tweaking. See if Willie wants some big track action too. wade 02-18-2004, 08:48 PM Joe You in for some Stocker action on Sunday?? Man it is going to snow on sunday bigdon18 02-18-2004, 10:53 PM Tim, BA BOOM,,,, Na ,,jion the club its free no cover charge ,, i think we all have had are wifes blow up at some point and time about something involving us in our great hobby of racing toy cars,, as iam reminded time to time. my wifes favorite saying is " yall act like its nascar,, but yall are racing toy cars and you take it too serious." or "you act like you are bloomquist , but you ant winning no money like he is",, but in time it all works out with the honey does program  as for the call,, no problem. but hey if you can give me a call tomorrow (thursday) if you can ,, i got some question about some thermal paste,, top secrete but i tell ya...then shot you :D Rcvaldosta, whats goin on ,, give me acall or email sometime. Long time no see. shawn, you the man,,, just wiggle down the straights so phillip cant get a draft off you. it works really good when gets beside you irvan36mm 02-19-2004, 08:12 AM ........No one wants to drive out there with me so I'm staying home to whoop some pro-spec a$$......... ......Sunday is 19t for me. Shawn- Are ya running Pro-Spec or 19t Sunday? -George irvan36mm 02-19-2004, 08:14 AM Man it is going to snow on sunday Yup! :jest: -George shawnleary 02-19-2004, 10:54 AM I thought you were going to run 4-cell stock? Yep, 19t for me. I wish I had three cars setup for Sunday cause I want to run all of them. But I figured it would be a good day to try 19t. David Butts 02-19-2004, 03:07 PM Look out Shawn! One "good" run with a 19t may turn you forever against your pro-spec brethren. 6.6's, 7's or 8's are are far cry time and reaction wise than the 7.3's or slower with the spec cars and it's done with that itty bitty little four cell pack. Glad your making the jump but be warned. That little bit of extra speed is multiplied when your car get's into the wall. Remember Joemama's wreck last month? That was nasty. I've already obligated my sunday to stock so thats where I'm racing but I did spend several hours lastnight rebuilding several of my modified motors. After seeing the pro-mod guys at da'birds I'm gonna play with some real car crunching speed. I want to be the first on the clock under 6 seconds at hw. With four cells too. shawnleary 02-19-2004, 03:23 PM Just for Sunday. For now right? I've actually run 19t one time before. It was just after I got my L3. I threw it on the track and got out of everyone's way :( . My ESC was 20t and up... dooh! Its tough being green. I want to be as fast as you David, yesterday not a couple years from now... Can't wait for Friday though. The points are close as heck. If Jason doesn't pull off at least 94 boths night I may have a slim slim chance of taking the series (i'm gonna try) This is the fourth points series for me, first with tri-shock, and I can't beat him. Its becoming a mental block ;) Looks like good weather for both days. I'm bring my camcorder for Sunday's action. Will be getting a new computer with my tax return so I will have race video up on the net somehow someway in the next few months. c-ya's tomorrow. Mmmmmm sub 7 second lap times.... aarrrrgggghhh..... drroooollll.... shrabber 02-19-2004, 03:29 PM dave pm  David Butts 02-19-2004, 04:50 PM dave pm  Tim, Back atcha  DEO RACING 02-19-2004, 05:55 PM Whats this Shawn running 19t oh boy look out now,new meat on the track!!!!!!! Fl Flash 02-19-2004, 07:30 PM Hey Mav Guys, Anyone know if Superior down in Casselberry has Maverick conversion kits? Lee  shawnleary 02-19-2004, 08:26 PM Dan with bigdogrc.com (local down in Orange Park) carries them, he'll hook ya up with a good deal. That's where I got my 04. Get the rear pod too if you can, its strong. Lee you coming out this weekend? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
