Hey Shawn, Scott has some SPEC BSR capped tires in stock, along with some of the regulars,RED,GREEN,SILVER. The SPEC tires are a little cheaper than the NETS or RADIALS. I here they are fairly soft.
If anything I am sure one of us should have a set to get you going.

Kevin- Ya got a PM about those Spec caps!

Well I'm in for another road trip. My old caps may even work and if not. I didnt spend all my money at da'birds. I dont have a table so I'd have to pit outta the trunk or the ground but that doesnt sound too inviting. Maybe 'll hit the lottery before then and buy one of those nascar style haulers set up for me and about twenty more of my racing buddies. Hey did anybody else besides me see Tony Stewart running in the d or e main with the car someone else qualified? That guy can drive an r/c car like he does the full size ones. With no practice at that. he was fast

I meant, I've got the record here. Didn't mean I actually hold the record. Sorry Joe. YOu are the man. Joe holds the track record in Pro-Spec as well as Stock if I'm correct. I just need the numbers to post.

I'm building an unauthorized underground pirate website for the Super Speedway. Need the track records for all the classes.

Shawn I believe Joe mama also holds the stock class record at 30 4:03. Phils 19t is 35 4:00.51 , Stock is wide open and I believe there will be a fast 31 lapper when we can get some clean runs in. My A main win two weeks ago with two wrecks was a 30 4:07.8.

David Butts
02-12-2004, 03:24 PM
Hi Don! Who knows if they'll be running at hw on the 22'nd? They were supposed to run this past sunday but didnt so I dont know whats going on myself. I know there are guys from out of town who want some asphalt practice before the Daytona race and there are some of us that would like to run in Branford. Maybe the thing for us to do is run here on the 22'nd and reschedule our Branford assault uh visit.

I had so much fun in orlando I'm ready for some more out of town racing.

bigdon18
02-12-2004, 04:19 PM
yeah ,, i want some asphalt action,, to get ready for Daytona, also like to run my tc at hobby world.
but you cant blame the guys wanting to go to brandford, not a bad deal, 3 heats ,a main ,, top three and tq get plauges for 10$ = more racers. i be there if i didnt want to run asphalt and if it wasnt another hour ride for me. i think everyone should have a chance of running on caps,, they are less for giving and teach you more control on the steering wheel to be smooth. but oh boy are they fast,,,,vrrrrroooooooom. but at HW they want get the job done,, due to the heavy moisture in the air at night (dew) falling and the oil base of the asphalt doesnt make for much laterial bite in the turns. but hope something works out for that day.

And they even have a schedule, sorry I had to. Hopefully me and George can squeeze a few months schedule out of Hart and we'll make sure it gets updated here and on the site we're building. As for Banford, I'm definitely going. I can't make Daytona due to some family stuff.
on-call tomorrow, will hopefully make it out there.

BigDon- Yeah,I used to practice w/caps at HW. On the old, bumpy surface at that! I,along w/ Dan & Greg, had the cars going good for awhile. But when the sun goes down,it was a near-wreck fest! I know that Butts tried a suicide-run w/caps & a mod motor a few Sundays ago. Dude,he was fast!!!! Yes,caps are a pain in the Butts to tune the cars to! lol

Last week at this time we were just finishing up the first round of qualifying at da'birds and this week, Nothing. I'll just have to completely rebuild my car then cause it looks like the rain isnt gonna let up till tuesday.

Caps are actually easier to tune with than foams, really only four compounds to deal with.

Anyone know where I can get a power supply repaired? I was charging some batteries this morning and started the next set of batteries and no amps but power. Fuse Ok and hit reset button, but nothing. It's a pyramid 25amps that I keep at home

Got tired of watching at HW, FCCR, OP KMart parking lot, Hooters, THE Pit, Keystone. Pit and Keystone is off road for some of guys. Also, my son is the main reason...he drove his car last weekend...that's the excuse I tell my wife anyway lol. So now I need some "real" batteries.

Eugene, rc-oval.com has a good instruction for building your own power supply for around 20 bucks 8-20 amps. It is one of their back issues. Here is the link. rc-oval.com Power Supply Construction (http://www.rc-oval.com/issues/April_2002/charger%20conversion.htm) I went to Radio Shack and bought everything for it. I want to build a nice one for my shed/r/c doghouse in the back yard.

I'm heading to Branford on the 22nd. Wish i had known earlier or I would have made plans to stay here in town.

c-ya guys friday.
I feel some track records being broken if its warm.

Shawn - thanks for the link...

It was a great day today put down some track time...oval practice ended early however...1/10 scale oval vs 1/18 scale mini-t...those things fly when you hit them. I broke a t-plate and will be retiring my body. Hmm might retire the whole car and get a new one. The mini-t lost a dog bone, a couple of bent upper & lower links and a crack chassis. I guess I'll be working on my son's mini-t too :)

Good thing I brought the touring car to practice with too ;)

No problem eugene, I've heard Joe Malin makes a good power supply as well. You might want to check with him too.

Eugene,Butts-
I used to know someone in town that did electronics work in town, but he can't do it where he's at now (died of crack abuse). Used to fix everyone's guitar amps (including my Marshalls) for all of the local bands in town back in the day. I'll see if I could locate another source. I know that Radio Shack brags about fixing electronic stuff-have y'all tried them? Otherwise, try to look up someone that does TV and/or radio repair in the phone book,as those Pyramids were originally used for ham radio use.
