yes he did as a matter of fact he ran 3 34 lap runs not only were they my old packs but they were the original gp3300 rainbow cells that I bought new before the birds this time last year. i think the numbers on the lable were like 1.142 and they were New Wave Cells. I just got to Give it to Mr. Butts what a well set up car and a great job at hitting his marks.

Congrats buddy.

also welcome back Bear in the 19t touring cars in a big way 14.6 fast lap and consistant 14.8 laps. Earl hit 14.7 but I not to be out done hit 14.6 also what a fun day of racing.

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. And he told us all it was a motor right out of the box... the truth comes out. Joe Mamma Inc. tuned motor. Awesome runs.

What's up w/ Butts? Where did he come from? (his mama! lol) Butts said that he wanted to turn a 6.8 lap. Not only did he finally turn his 6.8,but he outdid himself by turning a 6.7 (3rd lap)-all in the mains!! And taking the HW 4-cell 19-turn oval record (so far)?? Whasssup wit dat????? Congrats,Dave!!!!!!
Also congrats to the touring guys for running a killer and exciting mains, especially Dave P & Earl!! Thanks to John Hart for coming down & putting on the race!

Hey it was in the package when he gave it to me. You mean he had worked on it? Nudge nudge wink wink  . I had a good time today fellers. Everyone ran well and some better than that. How about the start of the touring main? Those guys looked like pro's. I called Phil in minnesota from the truck and I really dont think the 34 4:02:15 will stand very long. P.s. Its now 12:50 monday morning and I just got home from my after race trip. I dont think I'll be doing that again very soon. YYYYYaaaaaawwwwwwnnnnnnn!

Congratulations David !!!!!!!!!! Oh no my math was wrong those were'nt $3.33 batteries. They were $6.67 a pack. Talk about the price of racing these little cars Jeesh! Oh yeah Thanks Joe.

I think the biggest thing about yesterday is that it was fun and exciting racing in all the classes that were run. I hardly ever watch the 19t cars and I watched all three races because Butts's car was that good it just looked like it was so easy to drive really smooth looking and was fast.

Butts also just put a end to the motor and battery thing. you don't need 1.118 batts and a 105 watt motor. you need a good car and good driving. Todd Putnam said it best "you can't fire a cannon from a canoe"

Great Job again Butts

Davids car was hooked up. And his line was tight.

Definitely enjoyed seeing my car yesterday, that was a huge difference. Turns three and four never looked so good. It was also refreshing not to be runned down and tired like is usually the case on Friday evenings.

Let's run again this Sunday?!?!? I'm in!

What's up w/ Butts? Where did he come from? (his mama! lol) Butts said that he wanted to turn a 7.8 lap. Not only did he finally turn his 7.8,but he outdid himself by turning some 7.7's AND a 7.6 (3rd lap)-all in the mains!! And taking the HW 4-cell 19-turn oval record (so far)?? Whasssup wit dat????? Congrats,Dave!!!!!!

-George "bump draft" Ramos I think ole George got into the flea dip himself lastnight. He's got those numbers transposed(backwards) My goal for yesterday was to join the sub 7 second club and maybe, just maybe join the elite 6.8 second rank that as of yesterday was solely occupied by Phil Owen His bad self.

Well I never did hit that elusive 6.8 second lap. I hit a whole bunch of 7.1's 7.0's and a smattering of 6.9's but on the third lap of the main I bypassed the 6.8's and got a 6.7! Once again as I said at the track those three runs would not have been recorded if it were'nt for the very courteous driving of the other guys in that class. I doubt they'll be so quick to give me room in the future but it was a blast driving on the big track in the daylight. And it especially nice to have good light in the pits aswell. Hoorray for daytime racing, or is that red stripe?

And as always "keep it off the pipes"

Problem with oval racing is it's very addicting. I know the road course only racers think it's boring but theres a certain sense of accomplishment to just shave off a hundredth or even a thousandth on a track that just seems so simple. Hmm? Go straight, turn left, go straight, turn left and do it all over a bunch of times. What could be simpler right?

Now that being said, my one and only 6.7 sunday just reinforces the need/want to go even faster. I truly believe there are some cars at the track that can run a 6.6 or "oh my!" a 6.5(it'll happen) if they're free'd up just a bit. I'm not so sure that the cars need two inch foam rears since my car was hooked to the point of being extremely easy to drive. I've now on two different occasions tried running old cap tires and they have extremely low rolling resistance compared to foams and they're deffinately faster with the stock motor I tried them with as the guys that were there can tell you.

I almost braved up enough to slap'em on for the main but you know what the old saying is.? Dont mess with it if it aint broken. Plus it may have taken away from the lustre of the run if the caps had worked then there may have been those who thought it unfair since only a few of us older racers still have any of those things left. You deffinately cant buy them anywhere in Jacksonville.

What about those of us that have actually put our roar stuff in the mail but it surely wont be here by friday. Will we be able to race on our word? After the fun I had sunday it'll be hard not to race oval but I really want to run the tc again. Got them new 3300's to cycle a couple of times before the rug. I'm resisting the urge to turn them into four cell packs. oval oval oval oval, there I go again?
