It's 13 here and I slid my truck into a tree last night trying to get home from work,needed a new one anyway.

So I take it, that in SC you guys got the snow and Ice deal too.

How much did you get down there. We go 8 inch and then last night it all turned to ICE

about 2-3 inches but it turned to ice also.Shoot I was only going 10MPH when I started to slide and of course there was a tree right there.

Pepe, I don't miss that weather one bit!! Lived in MN for 23 years and had enough shoveling that white stuff! But it got down to 18 Degrees last night and they even shut down some schools!

Wishing I was going to start this next point series with 1600 mAh of pure ExSpec Power. Oh well, none found yet!! I got a new body, Taurus 02, new motor and one new pack. Does anyone know when points start up again? I've missed the last two weeks because I thought I had moved to Florida. Moving to Florida required a 1200 mile traverse down I95, "giving up" below freezing temps. Or so I thought. Can't be too bad, my folks back in Massachusetts are enduring single digit temps every day. Doooooh! I guess two months of winter is OK.

The point series probably won't start till after the snowbirds race> don't feel bad no one has the 1600 packs yet but will let you know when I have access to the might be able to save you and jay some $$$. LMK George is going to try a 96 dodge body, HMMMM might be interested since his torpedo is broke like mine is. Just have to reley on Tribo drops for that added umf! You and jay bring any motors you want done my motor man will be at birds and i'm getting mine done.

If you want to be exact,it's a 95 Dodge Ram! Hey,I thought of something after you called yesterday. How about 4-cell Spec? Any oval chassis (Spec,sliders,non-sliders,etc),any Street Spec motor w/any brush/spring,any 4-cell battery pack (3000,3300,etc),open or fixed gearing,use any tire combo,NASCAR car/truck body,wing optional. Could be run either on speedway or short track. Maybe split-up? Run the big oval one week,short track the next? If you think you're too fast for Spec or Stock but not fast or competitive enough for 19-turn or looking to try something different,it might be a cool alternative medium! And you could still use your nice,expensive,state-of-the-art chassis! :lol: We could call it the "Hobby World Busch class"? Hmmmmmmm! :thumbsup:

I have been running 6cell spec for a time now and I have found that a class with 6cell spec batteries, any chassis, spec motor with any brushes and springs will run about 2 laps less then a 4cell 19turn. A spec motor that is done right will really run! I think if you guys get alot of class going you will end up with a bunch of small classes. I think if you guys set up a 3 step deal to get to 19turn you will have better luck with turns outs and end up with a lot better drivers in 19turn. Do it something like this 1) street spec class 2)pro spec-any chassis and a built spec motor 3) 4cell 19turn.

For Hobby World,I'm going to have a car,and one for Tuffy's too! I imagine that I will get a spec car for HW,it sounds like you guys are having too much fun at HW,and I want part of that! George,don't know if we need still another class at HW, and you know that I'm willing to try anything once,........but in the past,once the guys started to run spec on the speedway,we could never get them back on the short-track! SO......street spec,and 4-cell,lizard motor cars are probably the way to go here,we need to get the overall participation up,so we can get a nice split on classes. At tuffy's however,the 4-cell stock car is almost ready for the track!! I'm looking to get a spec rolling chassis,basic...I'll trade my Legends for it,with two packs and motor.Let me know if anyone is interested,the Legends car hit the track new,and the packs are new too!

Associated:.022=LF; .024=RF
Wolfe: green Std=LF;red Std or green std=RF

CENTER SHOCK:
Associated VCS macro: 30 or 35 wt oil;silver or black spring
HPI Shock: 35 wt oil,#2 piston; green Assoc. TC3 spring

SIDE SHOCKS:
30 wt oil;blue or red springs on both shocks

what is a good starting gear ratio?

I got a 114 spur on there now but it looks like 36 is as high as I can go without changing to the Irs extended pod plates.

When does the points series start?

Any Springs.
R or SPEC brushes.
Open Gearing.
1600 mAh Street Spec packs are allowed.
Cutting out the back of the car.
All others rules remain intact.

Just wondered if you guys have checked the Trinity website lately? They have updated the Spec car rules to 2003. Look and the bottom and click the moving information.
