so should i just bump the bec its 6.0 v now.. and will this do anything to the esc?

the mamba will handle up to 25.2volts input, what receiver/radio do you have, a spektrum receiver will take up to 9.6 volts, and futaba will handle 8.5volts, as for bec i would say run anything as the esc and receiver is the one really determaing the voltage the bec is just a storage unit for the esc incase the esc has trouble keeping up with volts needed for servos, hope that made sence! lol

LMAO, ME TOO, hard to explain, a bec really is just a storge of electric/volts, incase the esc is not supplying the nessecery volts needed to operate the servos/transponder/ or anything else plugged into the receiver, when the esc is not putting out the volts needed the bec releases the extra needed , so no glitching....ect...ect is present. better??????

The BEC is not a storage device.
The BEC divides the power of a single battery pack between the motor and the radio system. This circuit offers an unchanging energy supply to the radio system's receiver while simultaneously providing the variable needs of the vehicle's motor and steering servo.
This circuit powers the servos and X amount amps of electricity can be diverted from the motor to power the servos when needed. The BEC also has logic which senses the battery voltage, and at the low end of voltage, the BEC will shut down power to the motor assuring the rx and servos with the last bits of electric power.

The BEC divides the power of a single battery pack between the motor and the radio system. This circuit offers an unchanging energy supply to the radio system's receiver while simultaneously providing the variable needs of the vehicle's motor and steering servo.
This circuit powers the servos and Rx. 3 amps of electricity can be diverted from the motor to power the servos when needed. The BEC also has logic which senses the battery voltage, and at the low end of voltage, the BEC will shut down power to the motor assuring the rx and servos with the last bits of electric power.

and how do you think it does that jbod???? it stores power, wether you copy this from a thread or artical, you said the same thing i did!!! just put a differnt way, how does the bec assure the last bits of volts to rx and servo without storeing or shutting down esc and still having volts to do this? LOL:)

if it shuts down power to esc witch the volts go through to get to the bec, how does the bec still operate and do it job without having the power to do so?

I can't type that fast, so I just googled BEC RC and copy paste and ther it was.lol.

that quote said cuts power to motor not esc. I would assume that it is talking about a internal bec.

lol, it does store volts, hence to do the job it has been meant to do, i unterstand what your saying but cant do it without stored power. otherwise defeats the hole purpose of having a BEC:tongue:

how does a circuit store power?
BEC= battery eliminating circuit.
not BEC= just in case power or "reserve power"

it stores and allows a certian amount of volts to and certain object that needs it.....dont know how to explain, just put a new glow plug in it...lol, this explains it.... http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-2809.html

its kinda like my power supply for my charger, i can unplug it and the light will stay on for 30 seconds after, means it still has power even though i unplugged it!

if you use a power cap like the tekin one that will help solve a servo power problem ...ie buy one and wire it to a plug and run it in an open port on the receiver . should work just fine thats what i had to do to my jammin ofna scrt10 4x4:thumbsup:

Ok then, I'll let you alone. I've got to go down and re-solder my esc, the jackwads did'nt send me the same esc back and I had all my leads color coded and cut and soldered to exact length. More freakin work, and I don't like soldering. There, I got that off my chest.
