I think it would be nice to see the rolling starts for our heat races. Mike D. 10-12-2011, 09:36 PM Tipp you going to play with the scoring pro program this winter to figure out the minutes between heats and use the rolling starts? I think it would be nice to see the rolling starts for our heat races. good idea, also bump ups jbod 10-12-2011, 09:46 PM Once Tipp figures it out he can show the rest of us. tipperjackson 10-13-2011, 07:05 AM I agree, rolling starts are the way to go for heat races. I'll have to get with Doug and figure it out, you have to set the min and max time and track length to have it work correctly. Wataru 10-13-2011, 07:26 PM Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a 1/8 electric buggy for next spring but I don't know what the battery or motor rule is for them. Thought I might ask before I did any major shopping. My scte and revo are fun, but I need more speed!! tipperjackson 10-13-2011, 07:30 PM Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a 1/8 electric buggy for next spring but I don't know what the battery or motor rule is for them. Thought I might ask before I did any major shopping. My scte and revo are fun, but I need more speed!! Buggy will give you plenty of speed Wataru, there are no restrictions to batteries or motor for the 8th scale racers, you can make it as crazy as you think you can handle. I've heard a lot of racers are going with 5 and even 6 cell lipos because of longer run times for the same MH, and sick power and speed. I'm running a 4 cell and find it plenty fast with a quality esc and motor combo. Mike D. 10-13-2011, 07:32 PM Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a 1/8 electric buggy for next spring but I don't know what the battery or motor rule is for them. Thought I might ask before I did any major shopping. My scte and revo are fun, but I need more speed!! as far as i know there really is not any rules for 1/8 electric buggy, most are tekin rx8 with 1700 to 1900kv motor, or MMM with 1800 to 2050 motor, most are also using a 4S lipo. Wataru 10-13-2011, 07:38 PM Thanks guys, I guess I'll be going 8 cell. MWAHAHA. Ok maybe not.. But no restrictions makes my mind go crazy with options. Can't wait for spring! Mike D. 10-13-2011, 07:41 PM Thanks guys, I guess I'll be going 8 cell. MWAHAHA. Ok maybe not.. But no restrictions makes my mind go crazy with options. Can't wait for spring! dont go overboard , you will kick yourself right in the butt and wont be fun to race with to much power. trust me.....i know:cool: tipperjackson 10-13-2011, 07:43 PM dont go overboard , you will kick yourself right in the butt and wont be fun to race with to much power. trust me.....i know:cool: Wow, I think I agree with inferno. I'll have to give that a little thought! Wataru 10-13-2011, 07:54 PM I will have to give it some thought, crunch some numbers, see what happens. I'm not even certain which buggy to go with. Let the over-analysis begin. Mike D. 10-13-2011, 07:57 PM I will have to give it some thought, crunch some numbers, see what happens. I'm not even certain which buggy to go with. Let the over-analysis begin. Ill leave that to the electric fella's:) tipperjackson 10-13-2011, 08:00 PM If you can't over-analize in this sport, then your not a perfectionist......LOl! I'm not sure what that means, but could'nt think of anything else to say. Lots of choices out there and a lot of opinions, make sure you research then make an educated decision based on your knowledge combined with what you read. jbod 10-13-2011, 08:01 PM We should make a basic rules for batteries in 1/8 scale. I run nitro so don't really matter to me, but if you don't make a rule some people will cry, and we've seen that before. His toy car is faster than my to car, that's not fair.
