Thinking about starting the night race around 1 pm so that we can get in three full heats and a main. What does everyone think about that? Maybe done same time, just get the 3 heats and main.

Is that like buying a Jeep and saying it's not a Chrysler product?
It must be a tecno conversion, cause Hot bodies electric buggy would be known as a VE8!

Sounds like you guys had some awesome racing this past weekend. I wish I could have been there.
I do have a question though.
I need to know if we are following Roar rules or not.
Reason I ask is because I am hearing some people are running some stuff that would not fit into those rules and I know some people have been told we are running Roar rules and could not run this or that. I really think we need to have this cleared up. Either we are or we are not. There really is no middle ground here.
I know this is gonna tork some peoples screws but it needs to be adressed before the next race.

Ya like stadium class, some of those little buggers have 4.5 turn motors.
And what's with Inferno being able to have tires on his buggy? This is a big no, no!
But with all seriousness stock should be stock, modified should mean just that.

I hear ya Jbod...but according to Mike we don't run roar rules....so what rules are we following?????? There are no rules posted anywhere that i have seen. Some people might be running something off the wall and with no rules how do you tell them they can't run it....Frank got told he could not run the AKA ribbed tires because they were not Roar legal.....I guess he can run the now that we are not running roar rules.

And every one said Inferno was slow! He figured it out really quickly. No tires = Jbod beating Inferno, just like no fuel or batteries for Inferno = Inferno not winning!
Or I get to take the short cut every lap.
You put down some impressive lap times Sunday, most of them you out there by yourself, but none the less good lap times.

as far as i remember
truggy, buggy and monster truck is run what you brung and hope its enough LOL

stock S/C is suppose. to be stock brushed motor or 17.5 with no more than a 2 cell lipo. with s/c tires

staduim should be no more than a 13.5

and s/c 4x4 i cant answer that one. some one else needs to answer that.

if someone is running different in the stock classes it needs to be brought up at the drivers meeting please. or some how let us know so it can be addressed at that time.

thanks

If there are no rules for people to read how can they follow them. Frank got told he was not allowed to run the AKA ribbed front tires because they were not ROAR approved. So what are the class rules? thats all I am asking, When I ran the track up we used Roar rules for the most part. The only exceptions were noted in the rules that were posted for each class. Battery limitations and motorlimitation, what tires were legal, chassis weight. we have nothing that I have seen.

Seems to me that WigMans concern is legit.
This topic has been discussed before, and I think the powers that be should at least adress this at the next drivers meeting.
Stock is stock, and modified is every thing eles. Every one needs to police them self and play fair, if you notice that some people are not playing fair bring it to the Grand Marshel's attion and let them sort it out.
Not every one will like the desission that is made but should make it fair, and that's not to say it won't change at the next race.

I don't believe we will ever follow completely roar or any other rules. We are all out there to have fun, use some commen sense and play fair.
I believe Frank was in a conversation and someone said roar outlawed the mohak (ribbed) front tires, and I say this because I've watched KC running them at every race, and no one told him he couldn't.
Well besides me messin with him.

Exactly my point JBOD Frank can't run his but Casey can run the mohawks and nobody cares because he doesn't win( sorry casey). Doesn't seem fair though does it. And I am not saying we need to follow them, we just need some rules.....I will use Brad for an example because I know he will tell me to suck it and we will laugh about it at the next race. I have heard everything from he was running a 3 or 4 cell to a 9000 mah 2 cell in the main, I heard he was having problems with motor heat all day and then was 125 degrees after the 10 minute main. If we don't have rules then whatever i will be saving for a new pack.....LOL..... What he was running I don't care.....He didn't wax my butt all over the track.....he he he....My whole point is we need some rules posted so everyone knows what they are. you can't enforce anything you don't have. Maybe a guy from downstate shows up to run stock sc and at his track stock is 13.5 and he kills us all cuz we run 17.5 but he has no way to know this cuz he lives in bora bora and is up at his granpas uncles cabin for the weekend and brought his stuff cuz he found our thread. with no rules posted how do you know...it is easy to say use your noodle but we all know not everyone does. I can think of one noodle that wasn't using his nogin at the last night race......I hope it doesn't happen again....would hate to see someone get sent packin for not using his noodle.

This was my understanding of the rules
With the Exception of 4x4 SC is 2s Lipo max
Novice is run what you brung

As for me running my Mohawks Nobody ever posted nor said anything to me about them not being legal Hence why when Frank mentioned it to me I told him to put his ribbed tires back on As NMRCC wasn't a ROAR track and never said they where following Roar rules

So I think GNS got the rules right

Well you can suck it wigwam! Lol! As far as what you heard, I was having heat issues the day before at proving grounds, until the the mains! Not one time did I have any heat issues at Nmrcc on Sunday at all! And as far my battery selection goes, it was a 2s 9000 mah 45c lipo! Wtf? I don't give a rats ass what battery anyone else had or runs in there rigs, I race to have fun, which is why throttle control and finesse is something you will never witness me performing. I run on the ragged of hell, each and every time I run, and sometimes, when I'm on, like sunday, it had nothing to do with what damn battery I had in my rig!

All I can say about the rules issue, is if you have a complaint let Randy or I know what the problem is, we can talk it over and make a decision on the problem. As far as I'm concerned we basically follow ROAR rules, but NMRCC will not turn racers away if they don't have the exact equipement and want to race. If you want a bunch of rules you'll have to go race the ROAR series, if you want to have fun then come race at NMRCC. If you have a particular problem call Randy or I and we can discuss it.
