Dirt pile would be nice for a backside landing, instead of a flat track. I was hoping to have the savage back for this.

jbod 08-03-2011, 08:50 PM Dirt pile would be nice for a backside landing, instead of a flat track. I was hoping to have the savage back for this. Mike D. 08-03-2011, 08:52 PM Randy did'nt think the back jump would work, so we need a skate board type quarter pipe that will launch them straight up and over the measure pole. Thought maybe we'd do it on the front straight under the lights...... get a 4x8 sheet of treated plywood ( 3/8") 6 treated 2x4x8' and i will build it next week, i have screws and eveything else needed Mike D. 08-03-2011, 08:56 PM Dirt pile would be nice for a backside landing, instead of a flat track. I was hoping to have the savage back for this. i have just the thing for this competition;) jbod 08-03-2011, 08:58 PM A pool to land in? We could get some major air. Mike D. 08-03-2011, 09:00 PM A pool to land in? We could get some major air. LOL, no....the perfect truck!! because in not useing my buggy or truggy tipperjackson 08-03-2011, 09:17 PM We should have the high jump comp. by class. Truggy, Buggy, 4x4sc, 2wdsc and open class. jbod 08-03-2011, 09:17 PM A tmaxx is not perfect. Just expendable. Mike D. 08-03-2011, 09:19 PM A tmaxx is not perfect. Just expendable. got rid of that a while back jbod 08-03-2011, 09:20 PM I really don't see a lot of people putting their race rigs on a high jump, maybe a long jump or a target jump, but not a high jump. GNS Racing 08-03-2011, 10:04 PM I really don't see a lot of people putting their race rigs on a high jump, maybe a long jump or a target jump, but not a high jump. perfect for my old piece of crap ofna buggy. its going high and home in a box broken LOL. GNS Racing 08-03-2011, 10:07 PM how many tires does one racer need ?.. i just cleaned 32 tires and wasn't even half of what i have.. hope something works down at pg lol Mike D. 08-03-2011, 10:16 PM how many tires does one racer need ?.. i just cleaned 32 tires and wasn't even half of what i have.. hope something works down at pg lol only taking 3 sets with me. hopefully one of the 3 will work tipperjackson 08-04-2011, 08:43 PM Five sets of buggy tires and three sets of truggy tires, that's all I've got. I wasn't as ambitious as GNS I only cleaned the ones on my buggy and truggy. Got the steel center diff in the e buggy and turned down my break expodential curve a bunch, hopefully that will save the center diff spur gear........LOL! tipperjackson 08-04-2011, 08:50 PM Ordered a few new things for the 5b today. 30.5 big bore kit Race carb dominator pipe juicer kit steel servo gears 2 sets of rear tires and wheels I guess that's enough for tonight! Mike D. 08-04-2011, 08:55 PM Five sets of buggy tires and three sets of truggy tires, that's all I've got. I wasn't as ambitious as GNS I only cleaned the ones on my buggy and truggy. Got the steel center diff in the e buggy and turned down my break expodential curve a bunch, hopefully that will save the center diff spur gear........LOL! messed with my break bias as well, last club race the where sticking on the truggy. vented discs not the way to go IMO. tipperjackson 08-04-2011, 09:00 PM I actually like the vented disc's, you just have to adjust them differently and there a little more touchy to adjustments on the fly. Mike D. 08-04-2011, 09:04 PM I actually like the vented disc's, you just have to adjust them differently and there a little more touchy to adjustments on the fly. i see that, to touchy for me. seems like you cant find the sweet spot, plus they are 5mm larger in diameter than the solid stockers so new pads are also required if you want even wear, old ones are broke in for smaller discs. tipperjackson 08-04-2011, 09:15 PM The larger diamater and the material really give you a much more consistant break control, but they are a little touchey to adjust, but once adjusted they are much more consistant, oh yea, don't forget to use the break return springs, a must have for these breaks. Mike D. 08-04-2011, 09:18 PM The larger diamater and the material really give you a much more consistant break control, but they are a little touchey to adjust, but once adjusted they are much more consistant, oh yea, don't forget to use the break return springs, a must have for these breaks. Dang it!!!! thats what i forgot to put on!!!!! the stupid little springs! thanks tipp! ill get on that tomorrow!! jbod 08-04-2011, 09:43 PM Ordered a few new things for the 5b today. 30.5 big bore kit Race carb dominator pipe juicer kit steel servo gears 2 sets of rear tires and wheels I guess that's enough for tonight! Why did you want that buggy if you are putting more into it than a new 5sc would cost? You should have bought a roller! Would have been cheaper. jbod 08-04-2011, 09:47 PM Tipp, Did you order a set of badlands for the 5b? Mike D. 08-04-2011, 09:48 PM Why did you want that buggy if you are putting more into it than a new 5sc would cost? You should have bought a roller! Would have been cheaper. then it would not be a hobby. tipperjackson 08-04-2011, 09:49 PM because no one would trade an sc8 FOR A NEW SC5.........NOW I CAN ROCK AT THE SAND DUNES tipperjackson 08-04-2011, 09:50 PM tipp, did you order a set of badlands for the 5b? yep i did Mike D. 08-04-2011, 09:50 PM because no one would trade an sc8 FOR A NEW SC5.........NOW I CAN ROCK AT THE SAND DUNES i was offered one in trade for my sc8e, but dint want to hurt jbods feelings jbod 08-04-2011, 09:52 PM i was offered one in trade for my sc8e, but dint want to hurt jbods feelings Why thank you!!!!!!!!! Mike D. 08-04-2011, 09:56 PM why thank you!!!!!!!!! well certainly;) GNS Racing 08-04-2011, 10:05 PM The larger diamater and the material really give you a much more consistant break control, but they are a little touchey to adjust, but once adjusted they are much more consistant, oh yea, don't forget to use the break return springs, a must have for these breaks. same here, been running the vented brake disc for 2 seasons with no problems.. but have always had the return springs installed.. takes a lot less servo power to have good braking! Mike D. 08-04-2011, 10:09 PM same here, been running the vented brake disc for 2 seasons with no problems.. but have always had the return springs installed.. takes a lot less servo power to have good braking! now im confused! if you put the springs between the pads to seperate after breaking, that would cause more strain on servo while breaking....no? Revo-lution 08-04-2011, 10:11 PM By the looks of things, I'm gonna have to try and take a little nap during our 3 hour ride to G.R., since I'm likely gonna be working on my stuff all night! tipperjackson 08-04-2011, 10:14 PM by the looks of things, i'm gonna have to try and take a little nap during our 3 hour ride to g.r., since i'm likely gonna be working on my stuff all night! so whats new Mike D. 08-04-2011, 10:14 PM By the looks of things, I'm gonna have to try and take a little nap during our 3 hour ride to G.R., since I'm likely gonna be working on my stuff all night! me too!!! now that tipp had to bring up the hole spring thing!
